They are too busy reading Koreaboo with Lily Alice to quote their highly important news in very useful articles…
I normally wouldn't have seen your comment until sometime tomorrow/today, but am still up at 5:04AM. Aside from Koreaboo, they're probably reading a compilation of adjectives and adverbs for future 'news' articles.
Rarely do I read a review that is so informative all all aspects of a film. It's 4:3-0AM and the tears are streaming bc of the laughter for the Damon paragraph, and it takes a lot for me to actually burst into laughter. Noryang: Deadly Sea led me here in a roundabout way. Funny how MDL can do that.. Have you seen it?
Having grown up in America, I was privileged to have a plethora of war movies starting in my youth to my elder years to satiate my longing to have been born a male rather than a female, specifically to help defeat my country's enemies. Now women are able freely able to enlist without a certain stigma attached to their joining. If there's a movie ever mentioned about battles and wars in the western hemisphere then I've probably seen it already. It's good that other countries have their own history so I'm able to continue to indulge.
There were great many faults with Noryang, but I won't list them here, as the film was still worth the watch.
Instead of writing a Review so these Spoilers don't appear in the Feeds section on MDL: The film is worth watching, if for no other reason than to be able to say you did in fact watch it. It's very basic. Havana kept the steady pace, interspersed with memories mainly of the night in question, and towards the end, the FL's relationship with *****. No, I won't spoil that bit for you. It was a simple on-its-face story, solemn cinematography, great acting, no editing mistakes, and (if there was background music) it was unintrusive. For a lower production cost film it held my attention. I just had to see where the title of the film Havana fit into the story. I'm still wondering if the title was the main concept the writer had in mind while writing, or if the murder was the impetus. You'd have to watch it for yourself, and if you do, please come here and give me your perspective. The Spoilers: spousal abuse-confirmed drug overdose-confirmed courtroom procedural corruption-confirmed lesbian relationship-confirmed parricide-heavily implied
I seriously have an intake of breath when I see our elder vererans' names in the first 3 words in an article headline and see their pics before opening the article.
I'm about to finish Queen Seon Deok for the 6th time and want to watch the dramas of Go Hyun Jung that I haven't seen so far; this being the next. Great review. A question I have is why is one of the male characters called Madam?
Good to see them delete since it was false info. Netflix subbers have a horrible reputation for getting the language wrong. I hate it bc I'd love to know what's really being said, whether I understand all the nuances of the language or not, such as pronouns, heirarchy between relations, jokes, etc. That could be the reason they don't translate as is though.
If anyone is ever curious when I say lighting & framing raise the production quality 10 fold i just need to link…
Yes, the production value in this is high. It takes all elements of raising the bar, at the same time, for a show to be this good. I don't see any other drama at this level being offered for the rest of the year, unless it's by this same director, writer, and production crew.
