Are you joking? If he ever retires K-drama industry will run out of villains, corporation presidents, dads, granddads,…
I guarantee you are a male. There are countless actors who can play the same roles this vile man does. He's not versatile. He plays the same characters in every drama he's in. How is that versatile?

This guy continues to get work while Yooh ah in is being shunned from the industry? I swear laws are messed up…
Thank you for adding "All over the world". Yes, the world is run by men. From a legal viewpoint, rape is not driven by sexual desire, but by the need to control and humiliate the victim. It's used purely for domination over the victim. And it's usually (not rare) for the rapist and sexual assaulter to commit it on repeat. They just learn to hide it better, or threaten their victims to keep silent better.

I am never going to watch any drama / movie he's in because I don't support rapists. Too bad for people who choose…
I agree. I've placed everything under Not Interested regardless of how hyped it is, who the other cast are, or how small a role he has, and the ones that he does have a role in that I watched before learning of his backstory, I've rerated those dramas/movies.

Actually, sexual assaults which includes rape, child molestation, etc are the worst. Very little jail time, if any, yet a LIFELONG trauma inflicted on the victims which they NEVER get over.

Since ROK's president (Yoon) is in so much trouble I hope this vile man doesn't have any offers. *this vile man is a good friend of Yoon*.

What's a pre-game blunt? I agree it could've been shortened, but it was designated as a Weekend drama.

If you really want a great Weekender to be your first, try Once Again (2020), Our Father is Strange (2017) or Five Enough (2016), or click KBS2 under the Original Network.

Whenever I rewatch this I always laugh at how the camera pans out to each and every character in a room to show…
I just finished rewatching Ju Mong and they did the same thing with panning on each character in the room, lasting the same amount of time.

NO sources online.
Sorry, but commenting "NO sources onine" was NOT "simply denying what I said in capital letters". I didn't question your statement. I was in need about where you got your info to back up your statement.

You know yourself countless User comments spew the most outrageous crap pulled from thin air, and they aren't necessarily bot accounts, as there have been long term accts that have done the same. For all I knew, you could've been one of them, and NO, I did NOT assume you were one. It's a consequence of the proliferation of comments being allowed a pass on MDL. It has made me question EVERY acct's comments.

Again, I want to thank you for pointing out (in an indirect way through all of my research) that the source author of this movie and others is a pedophile. If you know of others, please DM me. I have a List of such which is private on MDL that, regardless of how much the drama or movie is beloved or how insignificant their role, I refuse to watch.

Thank you too for having a 'real convo' instead of the usual knives-pulled-out exchanges which have become increasingly apparent on MDL.

For anyone who deems certain info to be a deterrance for watching all 5 of the movies, or any works by: Nobuhiro Watsuki (real name Nobuhiro Nishiwaki), the original source author, was convicted of possessing child pornography. He admitted WHY he was in possession, and was given an extremely low fine of the equivalent US dollar of $1900 and that's all. Just a fine and back out into the world to hide it better. Search his name for links to the articles confirming this info. It is there.

NO sources online.
It would've been much simpler for you to give me a link in a DM. I'm new to Japanese dramas and movies: so much so I know nothing about the actors, actresses, screenwriters, directors, or the source authors.

I've watched mainly ROK's and still do not know the source authors of works. I do, however, know who has been convicted for anything child or women related offenses and steer clear of their works bc of my childhood sexual abuse. Their faces are repugnant to me, to the point I overlap them with my abuser.

Slaps on the wrist, being found not guilty, or being convicted with a small fine and sent back out into the world again to repeat their offenses is a HUGE issue for me, as well for other victims. Society doesn't seem to want to believe pedophiles pose a lifelong threat, with COUNTLESS victims, yet bc of 'reasons' society thinks "well they got caught" and "it was a one & done and that's that" response.

Since the general public doesn't understand the weight of the offenses (it IS a lifelong offense against the victim) they don't push for harsher laws. I see this as giving the multitude of offenders permission to carry on the trauma which the victims do NOT 'get over' for the entirety of their lives. I'm considered an elder and I'll never be able to go a day or night without it rearing it's ugly head in one way or another.

What would've been a simple understanding with a link or the name of the author, or you offering a bit more info wouldn't have turned my last 3 hours into more trauma. I had to read about all 5 of the movies to find the original author's name, then read the articles (3) that confirmed your initial comment. The process actually confirms my belief in just how well the public glosses over the perpetrators by making it so hard to find the info. So, I am thankful you brought it to attention in a comment.

HAVING SAID ALL THAT, now I will address your assumption (s): "If you want to come to the defense of a convicted pedophile just because you liked this movie, at least make it clear what you're confused about."

1. I'd rather pedophiles be put to death, not just the ones who are convicted. My abuser lived a long life with countless victims in his wake. He was never reported, never questioned, never jailed, never sent to trial, and never indicted. People knew but turned a blind eye bc he was a pillar in his community.

Give me 10 minutes viewing their normal everyday behavior (man or woman) and I can guarantee you I'll know who is and who isn't a pedophile. I'm hypervigilant when I'm around anyone if there's a child or another female in the vicinity. The hypervigilance has affected my life to the point I'm reclusive.

2. How am I to like this movie when I haven't watched it, nor the other 4?

3. In the context of #2, how can I be "clear" of ANY confusion?

4. It would behoove you to NOT assume anything about a User. Assumptions, to me, are the same as gossip or rumors and places an unnecessary burden on others. And yes, I see it as a form of bullying. Instead of answering my comment directly, you decided to bully me with an assumption which, dear, wasn't nice at all. On the other hand, I assumed you were talking about the screewriter who is listed, not the original source author bc I didn't know there was one.

5. Again, "you want me to think you tried?" is another assumption. I wasn't making you "think" at all.

6. In all, you made 4 assumptions about a User you know nothing about and have had no contact with before this.

*****************************************************************************************************

Now, for anyone who doesn't understand your initial comment and what you failed to provide in your secondary comment:
Nobuhiro Watsuki (real name Nobuhiro Nishiwaki), the author, was convicted of possessing child pornography. He admitted WHY he was in possession, and was given an extremely low fine of the equivalent US dollar of $1900 and that's all. Just a fine and back out into the world to hide it better.

And hun, don't change a word of your comments. I've taken screenshots and will report you for any further bullying, if need be. After 4 hours, I can add in the Notes WHY I've placed the 5 movies into my Not Interested list.
