The reason he doesn't exist in present time is because he essentially erased his own existence (at least the him…
thank you for taking the time to explain, I understood that the time travel erases his existence because the purpose of his"existence" was a reaction to Yemo... but I still didn't understand the "realm split" and why he was sure yemo would reborn as mortal and him as something else...
Its due to the plot revolving around a poorly constructed miscommunication trope. LY is slaughtering civilians…
i find the show portrays nicely the main dilemma which is we all start as good... and that was the lesson of fang zhou. i think for once, its a valid miscommunication trope because even tang lici couldn't trust himself... I only wish we saw more nuance from LY in the early episodes of how he became dark
This drama should have ended at episode 35/36. I dont know why the author decided to make it more complicated…
absolutely!! the story was really elaborate but all the additional things starting from ep 36 was like HERE WE GO AGAIN and i would have been happy with more episodes which is rare to say! because the last 4 were too cramped and hectic!
If I've got a pet peeve it's turning horrible characters into comedic relief without acknowledging their horribleness…
yeah i thought the show masterfully shown the insedious ways violence shows up. after i real your comment i feel it may turn more horror with the ex personnality
OMG is JBZ the real prince Ming Xian?? And Bo Yulan - the master he believes saved him - actually swapped him…
damn that would be even more cruel!! since she did leave a mark on his forehead i'd think otherwise, but maybe thats automatic for crown prince? also the bo ladies called ming xian, ming xian, i was expecting a name reveal!
The show keeps getting better which is not always true (some dramas run out of steam by the middle).
i think there was only one slow episode so far where they were telling the backstory of mu qubai... but seriously, besides that, the pace of this show has been great
The reason you are frustrated she is not confessing everything to him right away is because you have a shallow…
I think what makes it more difficult to take the nuances of her character is that we don't actually see this in the scenes, we have to assume it. The show easily gave us ji bozai's perspective and everything is spelled out for us to understand... but for her, its only until today's episode that we see her mother's traumatic grip on her... and we have to assume she has trouble trusting. it's almost intentional from the writers we always see the flower on her arm as an urgency to confess but we don't hear her true hesitations. unless i wasn't that attentive.
No one's accusing her of being selfish. Her not sharing her immediate problem with JBZ and insisting on stealing…
this is actually super interesting i didn't notice in the show, when was that explained? because there is still the intruigue of where ji bozai comes from. he has some kind of mark on his front that appeared once in his past ( i only noticed it once!) and i'm not sure if i understood clearly, but he survived the same poison without the golden millet?
Many Chinese costume dramas have happy ending + satisfying ending. You have so many choices with those categories.…
honestly i understand why sad endings are hard, i haven't finished this one yet but i am enjoying it very much! i used to also hate sad endings, but now i can appreciate tragedies and sad endings. it leaves a greater reflection and mark on the viewer... that's why i try to never choose a show according to its end.
it's funky zesty and honestly the characters grew on me as the story progresses. the FL is so playful and her Cat energy is a win for this show in itself!
but the PLOT T_T ughhhhhhhh it's so annoying... I couldn't take the story seriously in the beginning, and just as it gets better, now I'm at ep 34 and I am having a hard time finishing this drama, glad most reviews appreciate the ending...
Ok now that I finished ep 29, I can't believe how people are characterizing FL here. It's so obvious she's heartbroken…
absolutely!!! i also loved their strong personalities at the barrier and how they took it to fighting. after discovering the core for the FL... i also feel theres a mystery with ML still to discover...
For me the best three romance drama of this great actor are:-'The story of Pearl Girl" (watch until min16…
i've watched them all and for me pearl girl still takes the cake somehow!! it was the best couple pairing and the story evolved at the perfect pace ( albeit some really frustrating bits) and surprisignly adwad coming second because of how wild it was!! journey to love is my third rec because the whole cast was on point and the story so grand.
Which one to watch?? A dream within dream orThe Prisoners Beauty???
i watched pob first because i thought i wouldnt like adwad, ended up giving up on pob and i loved adwad. i think adwad is so wild you dont know wat to expect and thats an amazing thrill! lyn is exceptional in both obviously, but i found pob a bit toooo lyrical. for someone who havent watched a lot of dramas, they'd be over the moon with pob, but its a bit too predictable and i couldn't take it too seriously compared to adwad that actually kept me on my toes with the most silly plot ever lol
also the bo ladies called ming xian, ming xian, i was expecting a name reveal!
so the child swipe may be more connected to them
that's why i try to never choose a show according to its end.
