i literally refuse to accept that he isn't the only one not to blow up from the extraordinary you guys, like whyyy? he's a complete package! dramaland needs actors like him, not just those idol looking ones nowadays
I feel like the writer tries to imitate Park Jae Bum's formula (Vincenzo, The Fiery Priest, Chief Kim) as in combining a cool main character/fun quirky cast + underlying social commentary + dark crime plot and crazy villains but it’s not working AT ALL. The characters are obnoxious, loud and tragically unfunny. The literal pain I felt when watching the first 20 minutes of episode 5. Other than the lawyer I cant name a character I like tbh.
In the other hand this seems pretty popular in SK so it might be a language/culture barrier as well idk. I’ll stick around for the harabeoji plot but anything else is super cringe inducing.
The synopsis is pretty vague about what happens to the other twin. I wonder what will happen to him, probably vanishes/dies during the mentioned incident two years ago?
In Hotel Del Luna, Lee Do Hyun played Go Cheong Myeong aka the firefly ghost who waited for IU. Now I can’t…
Just came here to raise the same question! I was so heartbroken about his story's conclusion back then (I was waiting for him to show up in the present) so I would love it if he was reincarnated and gets a more satisfying ending
The chokehold she and Kim Bum had on us as on screen couple with minimum screentime during the late 2000s/early 2010s won’t be forgotten. I recently thought of her and noticed she’s barely active nowadays. Hope she will make a comeback someday!
Saying all that just because the people you wanted to end up together didn't .
Yea sure, the mains of my all time fav kdrama don’t end up together yet I love it to bits so i don’t care about that if it’s a part of coherent storytelling.
Because what I care about is the story development and overall theme/message, and here those just became an unrecognizable mess. If I wanted to watch a messy love triangle I’d watch something like Love Alarm. This was supposed to be a comfy, cozy, safe drama about friendship. Not a story about petty first love drama.
I feel like it’s 100 times worse than Start Up lmao and I’m saying this as a dalmi/jipyeong shipper. With Start up at least we knew what we were getting into and chose to stay delulu. This time it feels like I got scammed by what seems like a great friendship story.
I can’t believe writers are still obsessed with pitting great women against each other over lame ass guys in big 2025?? I mean the chance to make this a beautiful story of female friendship was there yet they chose these juvenile overdone tropes and this stupid “destiny/love at the first sight” prevails idiocy.
It’s baffling how they managed to fumble this once beautiful and inspiring drama so hard. The first half literally got me out of my drama slump and now this.
Help I watched this last week and Jang Nara's “Sweet Dream” is still stuck in my head!
Anyways I liked this drama more than I’ve should, it may not be the strongest production and somehow unserious, but the leads' writing was better than in many youth romcoms nowadays. The characters were flawed but lovable and it definitely had some messages about female rivalry, self worth and being true to yourself without being superficial, preachy or on the nose. Overall, it’s fun!
Mu Hyul, Hong Gil Dong and now Wang Mu - words can't describe ho much I miss YKS in historicals. But him being a Wang means this is a Goryeo dynasty drama and he's playing a royal and has to wear a wig right? imo he's a better fit for buff warrior type roles like in his past dramas but can't have everything ig. Still it's great to have him back in the genre!
Loved Nokdu Flower so I'm expecting greatness from this writer! JTBC means it should be rather high budget too and also Lee Sung Min ahjussi, can't wait
Yushin and Chunchu! The names of some characters trigger me, side effect of having watched Queen Seon Deok.
Anyways I miss old epic historicals with high episode counts so I hope it will be one of them and it won’t disappoint! I’ve been desperate for something like Six Flying Dragons or Queen Seon Deok for too long…
I just... don't care about Young-rye and Jae-pil romance they're trying to push. I've seen people saying that…
Yeah the whole episode with them felt like K-drama Olympics with running through one romantic cliche after another without any actual depth behind it. Piggyback ride, jealousy competition vs 2nd ML, going on a date, getting a cooling pack for her etc, as if it’s their way of saying “yeah that’s it they’re endgame guys!” only for me to absolutely feel nothing towards them because it’s so forced and empty.
Yeah I don't think anyone assumes he will ditch her. I personally don't even want him with JH as an end game anymore.…
It’s unskillful because we haven’t seen the actually build up. If you make a character feel romantic attraction after a timeskip you’re hiding the actual buildup behind it. Which is a shame because it’s hard to some us to picture it as he had zero interest in her in the past.
I haven’t even watched this but whatever going on with the reviews is weird. I wished this site had stronger protection against jobless troll ratings/review bombing. From what I’ve seen the reception seems divided but on MDL all I see is 1/10 reviews like????
