The reason why Jong Hee had to run away seemed stupid to me at first but I think you have to put it into context for it to make it sense. If she stayed there she would’ve been labeled a criminal and her dream of being a celebrity/social climbing would’ve been over. In general society (especially) back then was not very welcoming towards people with a criminal record and her life would be beyond saving. Young Rye even stated she was sure he’s alive so they weren’t assuming they killed him. I guess they thought even a bodily harm case would be the end.
What I don’t get is if Young Rye took the blame the same applies to her, yet she seems to live a happy life. I’m really curious to see how she got out of this mess.
Still agree it seems kinda forced., I guess it was supposed to be throwback to those old dramas where the characters are split because of a tragic incident but yeah they could’ve made it a bit more believable.
I'm still on the side that jung hee is way better with the elder brother (young sik) she needs his mature gentle…
Same for Young Rye. I wished we would know more about Jeong Hyeon and his feelings about her. I mean I really love his personality but I don’t feel like the writers are planning to make him a viable love interest for now?
But not sold on Sang Cheol entirely either. He’s adorable but it’s a pretty one sided relationship so far…
I’ve been on the fence about whom to ship all the time but the emotional connection they established between JP and JH makes it very hard to imagine that he’ll forget about suddenly her and like YR instead. It would feel forced to me.
Does any one know why minari isn't in his list of movies..?
According to wikipedia it officially is an American production, even if the actors and director are Korean. MDL only adds dramas/movies produced in Asian countries so that's probably why.
Takumi was so absorbed in self-love. The only thing he cared about remotely after himself was probably Trapnest.…
Definitely, he's such a well-written character! I always felt like he initially has those typical early 2000's shoujo manga bad boy characteristics (rude, manipulative, forceful towards main girl) but while other manga usually romanticize/sugar-coat those traits Yazawa Ai put into perspective how toxic men like this actually are. But if they miss this interpretation I was afraid they'd just let him pass as typical jerk ML and nothing more. idk if I could explain myself lol but that's pretty much where my worries came from
Oh yes that's true! The whole band/fangirl culture in Nana seems like it was based off 80's punk rock scene but it's amazing how fan culture hasn't changed much. Definitely still relevant, I actually wonder how a korean remake would fare, considering the whole kpop/idol scene is even bigger there. Although k-dramas are too tame/restricted for the dark themes in Nana.
I will definitely be here to discuss <3 What is the GL trend though? I'm not well-versed in c-drama XD
The amount of romanticized male jealousy in the drama was way too much for me. Watching Lee Yool dealing with this fragile male ego was so irritating ngl. For example the scene when Hongshim was being happy about getting a rose from a male performer and he just angrily ripped it out of her hands, tossed if away onto the street and proceeded to give her his own flowers instead. And this was played off as romantic. There were tons of scenes like this, like is his ego made of paper or what?? Anyways if any of y'all are like me & can't stand stuff like this you should stay away.
Came back to remove my heart/like. After today's news I don't think I'll ever want to see his face again ugh. Infinitely disappointed in him, especially as someone who liked him since his Sassy Go Go days.
To those curious here you can read the whole thing in the link below. It's very eye-opening and I think regarding the high count of victims coming forard it's safe to say the allegiations are true. I wished I could be proven wrong for the sake of everyone involved, but I don't think it'll happen.
I totally agree with you. Personally, the early revelation didn't bother me as much as the way it happened. When…
Yeah that's what I don't like as well. You'd think big revelation/events would lead to something bigger but nope it just happens without any consequence. It feels so anticlimatic. For example I felt nothing when the SML found out about her. This should've been put into a greater context but just went on really fast without any emotions to it.
Tbh I really didn't want to admit it but think the writing so far is a mess. Many people are praising this drama for being unpredictable, but that's not necessarily a good thing imo. In fact I don't like how big plot reveals just happen & get resolved easily. Just because it's not dragged out and revealed dramatically in big manner like in other dramas it doesn't mean it's good. There's a reason why other dramas take time to develop things and foreshadow future events, so the viewer has a rough idea of what he can expect or look forward to. Here it just happens randomly and without any meaning, which is why people think it's "unpredictable". For me it just feels unsatsfying tbh :/
Maybe it'a just me being nitpicky but I'm a bit disappointed cosidering the beautiful production & amazing cast. That being said it's still enjoyable watch and I hope it'll improve once we get deeper into the story.
It's on Viki now :) The last 4 eps are still missing, so wait for another two weeks if you want to binge watch…
I have the standard pass as well & I can get see the title page on the website, however there aren't any videos and I'm getting the "this is not available in your region" message. It's probably contributor-exclusive for now? But thanks anyways! :)

thanks for the reply <3 oh that's weird, i'm in germany too but it's not available for me yet :/ I looked it up on the website, the fire tv app & the android app but it's not there?
This Sunae character is already annoying me. Now this is a female character conceived as a helpless child and…
Agree on the second part, I absolutely adore Chunsam but he gets in trouble way more often than Dain & is rarely useful lol
However the first part is not true & I'm glad that it actually never really happened. They actually took a different route with this character by putting her into a love line with the brother which I'm glad for.
I'm not the type to get emotionally invested into tragic fiction for too long and normally most sad stories don't bother me. And the most of the ghost stories and present romance made me feel nothing. But oh my god, the past love story in this was just so heart-wrenching and painful for me like...the angst, the feelings and chemistry between MW and CM was not from this world <3 I feel so devastated about it even more because I thought the conclusion to their relationship was not satisfactory at all, given how short it was. I really wanted to see more of them so the real ending made me feel empty inside.
I rarely get sls but this time I really wanted these two to be the main couple instead the one we've gotten. What a drama this could have been.
The BEST scene of this whole drama was when Manwol and Yunwoo saw each other again (episode 10). The feels. The…
Ughh that scene was overflowing with chemistry and heartbreak, ngl they had more chemistry in that tiny scene than CS and MW had in the whole drama.
I wonder how the drama would've fared if they included YW from the beginning. It was so pointless having him so late into the drama when he had no relevance to Manwol or to the story anymore, and they also did not bother trying to build something between them. It just felt like a surprise/easter egg afterwards, so disappointing.
