It was a weird choice for a 10 episode drama to dedicate 2-3 episodes to a guest character. By the end of it we were already at episode 8, so it felt like it went on forever. Yawn.

The drama had the right ingredients for greatness and it really felt like the writer cooking something up to that point, but that ex-bf arc kinda put on a damper on whatever they were going for before. It’s a shame because the first four episodes were fantastic 🥲

Despite everything I still liked the drama, I think I just had a soft spot for the main cast and the overall relaxing and comforting vibes of the show. Kang Ha Neul and Go Min Si were adorable!

I’ve recently finished My Love Patzzi and Attic Cat and adored both! It’s amazing how hard him and Dabin (bless her soul) carried AC with him only being 22 at that time.

And idk why but there’s truly no other like young KRW! - especially nowadays in this idol visual galore it’s weird there’s not one single actor standing out with his vibe. Natural, manly and charismatic - 90s basketball player type lmao a bit specific but you get the image. Guess it’s just not trendy atm 🥲

What’s up with 2004 k-dramas plagiarizing that iconic “Resolver” track from the j-drama One Million Stars Falling From the Sky?

I’m Sorry I love You did it too but more discreetly lmao here it seems like they just removed the piano layer and called it a day

Life happens. Not everyone marries their first love. Sometimes marriages don’t work out. Not a minute of this…
Because of narrow minded thinking like yours, many romance dramas are dull and filled with one dimensional lead characters. People can break up, make up and whatnot, not every drama must be an idealistic portrayal of love.

There are an abundance of fairytale romances you can watch, but these not-so perfect romances have their audience too and deserve their place in dramaland.

I said the same thing at the very beginning. Seo Hyung Woo is a great actor (in fact, the main reason I put this…
Agree! He had good chemistry with Lee Joon Gi in Flower of Evil as well lol their interactions and his humorous side were a refreshing contrast to the general dark vibe of the drama.

To webtoon readers: is the FL the only character with a brain in this? Are the men (or potential other women) entirely flat and incompetent? I usually like antihero main characters, but it’s boring to me when the world around them is one-dimensional.

I normally avoid this screenwriter as I don’t like her erratic makjang style lol but cant deny it sounds intriguing and I want to see LJM in a lead role!

The irony of this drama's comment section, a drama dealing with messed-up beauty standards, being full of superficial comments insulting and nitpicking the FL's visuals.

I’m glad she can pay her bills with doing daily dramas for now but I hope she can manage a transition to serious roles someday. Still not over her role in Dream High <3

I don’t get these random bs comments on MDL about K-Dramas declining in quality and whatnot, when nowadays we actually receive quality dramas like this one.

Not to sound like a grandma, but when I started watching dramas, it would’ve been inconceivable having high budget dramas about real people's struggles, women's issues, heartwarming family relations without chaebols, goofy makjang elements etc. To me, this drama proves that in fact the bar for Korean dramas has only been rising, you just have to be picky.

I had my cinema send my request to whoever was above them, but still nothing in my country so far it seems. 😭
Hopefully they’ll do it! Considering the award season and potential Oscar nom I’m sure there’ll be more cinemas interested.

Title Imitation
When you try to show the dark side of the entertainment industry but still want to keep the illusion of perfect idol fantasy and barely know anything about their world.

They had this Romeo and Juliet story as the backdrop but went on with what was the lamest couple ever as the main characters. Is there a word for the opposite of having great chemistry? Like negative/minus chemistry? Anyways, the shift of mood/tone was so awkward to watch. Like you have Eun-jo (Chani) being despressed about his gf who comitted suicide, while in the same episode the ML is comically dying of jealousy bc his gf is acting in a drama? It's just hard to take seriously.

I was hoping for a nice underdog story but there was barely one. Everything went on smooth, zero stakes and awful writing. They had this wholesome CEO who gave them perfect contracts *boom* they're famous and getting solo gigs left and right lmaoooo, like can anyone take this seriously? This is not how the real idol world works! And once they reach their dreams which took like 4-5 episodes, rest of the drama revolves around that boring "we can't be together bc we’re idols" story.

If you want to deliver a drama about a serious topic either do it in a realistic way until the end or simply don't *shrugs*

Age gap discussion aside, to me the ML character is very reminiscent of those early 2010's comedic/goofy arrogant jerk male lead characters lol so from the teaser it seems dated. It surely feels very late 2000's/early 2010's coded in general.
