Ayano Go...the performance of a lifetime. I knew from other films I've seen him in that he is talented and gifted as an actor, but he takes it to a whole other level or two here. And wow, I can only try to imagine the amount of training and workouts for the physical aspects of this film he and his co-lead had to put themselves through. I am in awe.
Definitely another one on my re-watch list. There are far too many layers here for me to expect to have grasped them all in one sitting.
Also...Ayano, throughout the film, ,not just at the end, is the most handsome and hottest I have ever seen him. Goodness. :) Enjoy.
Am I the only one who was glad when that horrible, hateful mother died? ALL she cared about was herself and her wants and desires, no one else. Encouraging her son, to her dying breath, to live a lie. Die already.
Needs trigger warning for abuse and sexual assault.
Get a life. Trigger warnings are for children. Plus "rape" and "sexual assault" are listed, for all to see, in the list of spoilers commonly known here on MDL as "tags."
But that is exactly what this type of commenter wants. I never have figured out why such people aren't content to just NOT WATCH shows they find too disturbing for their tastes.
I'm really mad at whoever recommended this as being a 'dark and toxic' BL. If you're looking for something similar…
Double Mints is one of my top five gay-themed movies, which is not the same thing as a BL. I pretty much agree with everything you wrote above. Bravo. Fluff makes me nauseous and is usually incredibly repetitious.
Bro... This is not romance... This is abuse and rape...
Sometimes abuse, rape and romance get all twisted together. Plus, you know, it's a STORY and things like this happen. Anything's game for fictional drama.
What the hell happened? Last time around Keptawan seemed goofy/eccentric but now he seems downright intellectually disabled. Oak is overplaying the part. That huge wild smile now looks insane and he flashes it randomly, when anything good OR bad happens. The uncle is a douche bag, that's clear, but what would you do if this kid was constantly screwing up orders, spilling drinks on customers, etc.? Especially after he's been there 25 days and it's gotten no better.
On day 15 Mon told his other friend he was going to see Keptawan but then it was immediately 25 days later and it didn't seem like they had met yet. What's going on?
And again, spilling the coffee like he's also physically challenged. Is Keptawan intended to seem slightly retarded? What am I missing?
This had the potential to be my fave among the trilogy, but things went downhill after the honeymoon scene. Their…
What you mention is a prominent part of what I don't like about it either but don't forget the passive-aggressive Caucasian BF. I don't think I would want to be close friends with ANY of these people
I viscerally dislike this film. There are a host of reasons why, but I just finished it and want to sleep on it a day or two before weighing in. But yeah, count me out. I would never recommend it to anyone. This has nothing to do with it that I know of, but I've always thought Brokeback Mountain was overrated too, and perhaps for similar reasons, I"m not sure. Later.
ugh. Cherry Magic ruined the entire thing with its prudish, candy-coated ending. I love this show. Is he supposed…
Especially when the ultimate and decisive scene of the entire series is written right into the title fo the show! "CHERRY Magic" For that magic to go away there has to be some cherry-poppin' near the end, and that show was too up-tight to even allude to that. Which is too bad, because I thought the majority of the show was charming. I just didn't think they'd go with such a cop-out ending.
