But around 7min mark in episode 2 they did talk about it, Win asked Doc where his body was and they said he was…
Wow. Just watched the video. Typical of a K-Pop company to be so incredibly vindictive and hateful and spiteful. It's not enough to kick him out of a group, but they want to keep him under contract so they can completely destroy his career and any chance to develop elsewhere. Bastards. Surely if he's still under contract they at least have to pay him but who knows? Kids are so eager to do anything to be an idol they surely sign contracts with all kinds of fine print that regretably pops up later. But this is another case where to me it makes zero sense to end the career of an artist you have spent years and tons of money developing, especially when it seems he was gaining some traction with fans. Especially over something so silly as a "stick-break," which instead they should have made into his signature "thing." K-Pop management is such a weird mix of creativity and conservative, sticck-uo-the-ass attitudes.
But around 7min mark in episode 2 they did talk about it, Win asked Doc where his body was and they said he was…
Yes, it is unbelievably horrible, and it seems like the companies don't want to learn anything from all these suicides and other problems. They just keep plowing forward with the same development practices. I am curious to see what is at the link you provided. Thanks.
I would like to see them in a project of their own but I was satisfied with their ending. It left them with hope…
"Did we want the brother to choose his lover over his sister? Not really."
Says who?
SThis is exactly the flawed thinking I addressed above and which you downplayed. This "choice" you write of is a false one. The brother doesn't have to choose, because his lover and his sister were apart weeks before they ever got together and his affections for the lover did not CAUSE the breakup. They merely forced the lover into a necessary reckoning with who he really is and what he really wants. The only way there would be a choice to be made is if the sister insists on being a bitch about it and pretending there is fault on the other side and guilt that should be borne. What do you mean, "not really?" OF COURSE we want the brother to choose the lover if he has to make a choice because if he chooses her he will always resent her for making him choose to give up the love of his life and he will miss him forever. Truly don't get your reasoning. This is not about your family. This is a fictional story.

Why do some commenters interpret strong disagreement as coming from a place of "anger?" I think they do it to insinuate the disagreeing person's post is driven by irrational emotions, rather than valid criticism. Doesn't work on me.
ep 2, ten minutes in. wtf? If Win is in Lin's body, then doesn't that mean that Win's dead body is somewhere in that hospital? But no one seems to care and it hasn't come up. If Win is inside Lin, then that mean Lin's soul has passed on but neither the doc nor Earth seem to care when they decide to believe, within two minutes, that Win's soul is inside Lin's body. The mom goes off to hunt down the neurologist with a nurse? Right...the writing for this show is absolutely terrible. And the tone went from high-drama upon the discovery of soul/body-switching to slapstick comedy in a flip of a switch...again, wtf? I'm out, dropping. This is bad. I have watched too many good BLs and really good gay-themed Asian feature films to waste my time on this kind of dreck.
Wonder if Earth is auditioning for feature film roles, gay or straight? He is definitely leading-man material and would make an awesome crime/thriller/action leading man. Maybe should learn Korean and move.
I'm binge-watching the version that came out first, as somehow I never even heard of this show. wth? Can't make out if they're a couple or just buddies at the beginning. Are the sleeping together or not? The hints are all over the map in all directions. Then after the reading of the will Win becomes a raging lunatic monster asshole, so I'm wondering why I would want them to get together. Then there are all the usual problems with low production values and just plain lazy writing/direction that drive me crazy. The entire cake-emergency scenes were ridiculous, the replaced a five foot-tall gorgeous cake with a sloppy looking one a quarter the size of the original and everyone pretended it was awesome. Loved the skinny head chef hitting on Earth. Funny and kind of cute. I'd hit on him too. The actor playing the head chef is a favorite second-tier BL actor of mine. Great to see White in the cast. I wish he'd land another lead role. He's a fine actor. That longer hair cut becomes him.
When did Mix's butt get so big? Earth gets better looking with age.
That's more balanced than most people have been, but I think you're a little hard on the team. These are teenagers…
P.S. Totally with you on Dome and Vee. The idea that they should feel guilty and that their relationship is "toxic" because of feelings they cannot control is ridiculous and ignorant. Furthermore, they waited until several weeks after Dome had ended things with the sister before hooking up and expressing their feelings physically, which I thought was admirable. I understand the sister would be upset at first but the idea that VeeDome waited around for months for her to quit PMSing and give them her "permission" to get together annoyed me. Again, they did nothing wrong. But these SJWs (I know you're not entirely on board with that term but I can' t come up with a better one) in their eagerness to condemn ANY human frailty, end up doing the same thing homophobic BL writers do: wishing an unhappy ending on the gay couple one way or the other.

Wow, you're last paragraph is powerful and spot-on. Thanks for putting into words better than I have a lot of what pisses me off about the BL "fandom" so to speak. Their ideas of what is reality are completely warped. I was in the closet until I was 37 and a big part of what blew me away about BLs when I discovered them is precisely the struggles and pressures and self-hatred that kept me in the closet as an adolescent and through all the developmental years most of these shows deal with. Watching BLs allowed me to feel I was having these experiences/loves/flirtations/sex/relationships all over again through what I saw on screen but this time my struggle was the focus, and flawed choices were allowed. But as often as the boys walked in front of oncoming cars, there were enough that ended happily or positively that it was a great catharsis. I think maybe, regardless of the endings, the most powerful thing of all was just seeing my internal struggles portrayed as the focus of a series or movie.
I have always liked most the BLs that deal with the struggle/angst/torment of coming to terms with one's own sexuality in the face of bigotry and hatred and disgust because that's precisely what I wasn't strong enough at that age to do. So I root like crazy for the struggling straight-to-gay or bi or whatever guy who suddenly has his homo card flipped by one particular other boy...best of all when they are BOTH struggling. :) Most of the BLs that start with everyone out and proud bore me. I've been over all the ranting about gay/LGBTQ representation and positive gay relationships being modeled in BLs. Most of the Mangas/Yaoiis these are based on are the opposite of that and I wish these teen fan kids would dry up and find some other genre to obsess over.
I'm kind of babbling, especially in that first paragraph, but I'm sure you get my gist. Again, thanks for so clearly summing up a lot of what I feel about BL and the weirdos who watch it but are constantly trying to make it something it's not.
I just watched the first ep of "Cupid's Last Wish," which somehow I never even heard of when it was first releasesed. To me it's a mess. Win, played by Mix and the other guy, played by Earth (and those two have great chemistry though as you might remember, TOATS did not work for me) seem to already be a romantic couple at the beginning but then it also feels like they are supposed to just be close friends. I can't figure out what they are to each other, then if you've seen the series, you know what happens. But they made Win into such an asshole/monster in that first ep that I'm wondering why I'd be rooting for the two of them to get together. ??? Think I'll watch one more ep at least and see what I think then. Mix seems to have matured and Earth keeps getting hotter with age so that's always nice to look at if nothing else.
Homeboy made a 1hr50min hate-filled, blood-soaked, gorefest of a movie just because people called him out for…
Oh, so you're a Netizen, judge of all things moral and proper in the behavior, actual or alleged, doesn't really matter, of other human beings. Serious question: who do you think you are? How do you know the truth or untruth of any of these accusations? And how is it any of your freaking business in any way at all? How does any of it, true or not, have to do with what he does for a living? Why do you care? No sex or love life of your own? Amazing how many young, nosy panty-sniffers there are on the Internet these days.

The most dramatically and cinematically beautiful scene in this series, and the one I will forever remember from it, was the tracking shot somewhere in the early middle of the show where Vee and Dome were in the same, lushly-landscaped park but about 75 feet apart, walking slowly along different sidewalks while staring at each other. Not working at emoting or "acting," they just keep slowly walking and soaking in the sight of each other and the physical/emotional distance their circumstances was keeping between them. I felt love, lust, frustration and open appreciation of each other's beauty in that brief scene. I don't think there was any music either. It was perfect.
Far too many BLs, and movies in general, insist on telling us what and when to feel something with ham-handed music cues that aren't necessary when the script/acting/cinematography have done their job.
That's more balanced than most people have been, but I think you're a little hard on the team. These are teenagers…
Haven't seen you around much, jp. Glad to read a comment from you again. I totally agree about characters being allowed to human/flawed/fearful/imperfect/etc. as you've said in other comments above. But a certain large cohort of MDL commenter ALWAYS want angelic/perfect/PC-approved behavior from their BL boys and will never change. I'm working on ignoring them.
As for Thorn and Fah, by the third episode I did not care one bit about them. No chemistry, bad acting, boring story...I'm a BB fan and watching these young actors who have not been anywhere near well-trained enough, try to play the sport, is physically painful for me. So I spent most my time on this show with a thumb on the FF button to get to scenes featuring VeeDome and the other side couple.
You all want Dome and Vee to be together? Like... seriously? I thought we were just joking when we said we were…
Who is this "we" of which you speak? And what is it you think they did that was wrong or immoral or sleazy? Humans can't prevent their intense romantic feelings from existing, but they can suppress and lie about the. Is that what you wanted? Also Dome dumped the sister weeks before he and Vee finally hooked up, so what are they supposed to feel gulty about? Are you Catholic?
Says who?
