He was good enough to make the national team, but his coach and the other jury members didn’t vote him in along…
You're proving my point. Finding excuses. His parents committed suicide, so their son would be debt free. But they didn't read the insurance contract well enough. That's the so-called story. This is next level stupidity, not "external circumstances".
He was good enough to make the national team, but his coach and the other jury members didn’t vote him in along…
Well, why not try again then? He was still young. Why give up suddenly? Wasn't he only around 16 or something? Does he have to be a national athlete to make a buck?
Unpopular opinion maybe, but I will still say it. I don't agree with the idea that poor people have to remain poor. You can make it out of poverty, if you have a talent, work hard and yes, you need some luck. Jack is still salty about not becoming a national athlete, because he was too poor to get the best teachers. If he had had an extraordinary talent, he would have made it, but he didn't. Children need schools to learn to read and write, yes, but if you learn that, books are mostly free. I'm sure Thailand has libraries. And everyone can get a phone nowadays, which puts the knowledge of the whole world in your pocket. Look for a normal job, save money, pay for your education and degrees. Climb up that damn ladder. Because of generational wealth, there are people who wouldn't have made it without their parent's money. Yes. But in general I think, if a rich and a poor person start out the same, you give them the same amount of money, the rich one will be rich again, the poor will stay poor. This is not only about money, it's about the mindset. All those poor people don't seem to work hard in this series. Joker, Tattoo, Hoy - what are they even doing the whole day? They seem a bit dumb too.
I think it's also those kind of roles who make them famous among fans. But I would not say they play "the same…
The characters aren't exactly the same, but the love stories are similar. Even in the short series they did together, The Best Story, War was the pure soul so in love, and Yin didn't make it happen. Yin is never the bad guy, but he is always the issue, while War is suffering in silence, either betrayed, or his love is unrequited. Yin then has to make an effort to win him back, he has to overcome his own problems, and make a decision. War will forgive him, because he can't help it, since he is so in love.
Why everybody seem so disappointed? Am i the only one who is still enjoying it?Ofc it's not perfect and the beginning…
The writing was horrible from the very first episode. This is old news ;P It's still enjoyable, but in this episode they weren't doing any good to the characters. I don't care about the silly plot, but when they ruin the characters ... that's different.
Well well well, in the beginning of the episode I thought we don't get enough romance. Ep 7 and we actually have…
For real. He immediately crawled back to the Boss. Boss told him to marry Rose, and he was like "Okay. I will do everything". Very weak character. Not only because he isn't fighting for his love, but to go back so quickly and accept every condition? To ruin his life for his grandma? You're absolutely right, she wouldn't want that. Those hospital bills aren't that high either.
People here wondering why the rating is high. It might include lot of factors. The acting is good, can't criticise…
I also think the rating is too high, but this series has so much to offer, so it's easy to like and enjoy it. It is pretty exciting. Heist plot was also never done before in a BL. This series stands out for sure. It feels unique.
apparently, people are liking it, it reflects the personal taste of the public here not Rotten Tomatoes or metacritics
I'm not the only one who complains about the editing. Some scenes are too long, the transitions between the scenes are not snappy enough. They just hold the camera on people most of the time. No interesting camera angles etc. How they use music and sound effect isn't mind-blowing either, though it got much better since Ep1. The plot has potential, even though it's a bit silly, but they should present it in a more engaging way. I still wait for this mysterious "cut version".
I watch Peaceful Property at the moment, a GMMTV series. This series blew my mind. Very snappy editing, creative camerawork, good use of music, good comedic timing. Very refreshing and easy to get drawn into. Just watch it if you have time. It's a very good series. Perhaps you see what I mean.
