I'm giving up now. Horrible series. You can't trust MDL ratings anymore.
So you attack my character and taste, when I don't like this series? Very mature of you. I watched up to episode 6. Things just happen. Every damn character is damn shallow. Ep 1: Clubbing, talk about d*ck size, more clubbing. No depths. No real emotions. The main character is like an empty sheet of paper. Nothing is written there. Ep 2: Abortion. They made it look like a fun experience. Very mature. Then we see the girl looking sad for two seconds, so we know it was hard for her. Shallow. Immature. Having sex 3 times a week with different guys? Too mature to use a condom every damn time? I could go on and on. Those people are lost in life. Such a series appeals to very young folks, who aren't emotionally mature at all and can see themselves in them. Their longing for intimacy is not even tragic, it makes me almost laugh, since they have no personality, nothing to give. Life is about many things. Those people don't get that. They are running around looking for love, because they are dead inside. I would normally say, I'm too old for watching those lost children being dramatic. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have enjoyed this even in my 20s. Oh, the HIV thing. The last nail in the coffin. Couldn't be more cliché. And the stupid face he makes. Enough for me.
Those two boys are acting geniuses, because how else it is possible to deliver those repetitive and boring dialogues with so much tension and emotion. They go around in circles since ep1, but they still manage to create so much feeling EVERY SINGLE TIME. "Are you really gonna leave me?" I swear I expected Saint jumping on a horse, riding into battle and never returning. That's how dramatic it was.
This is based on a German novel, which was published somewhere in 2010.... has nothing to do with Beyond Evil.…
German novel? Those politics, congresswomen involved, corrupt police etc. isn't typical for German crime/thriller. I must know since I am German. if it's indeed true, they made a lot of changes to fit the Korean police and political system.
Copycat of Beyond Evil. The only good thing was the cop working together with the convict. I liked their relationship. The rest was disappointing. All the characters were crazy and not likable. Beyond Evil did a much better job with similar crazy characters I couldn't hate. Not even the villains. This series was just depressing, though. Betrayal everywhere. And how they handled certain things irritated me a lot, like the two rapist for example, or the guy who hid the dead body. This is next level crazy, but it didn't have the impact I expected. Made me uncomfortable.
literally the message i wrote to my friend two days ago: "once again want nothing they aren't comfortable with…
The issue is always the damn shipping and what comes with it. I personally have zero understanding if actors don't want to perform kiss scenes, even if they have to kiss their friend. They are actors, and should be professional enough to do those roles. But the issue is that being a BL actor, being paired with someone, being a BL couple changes many things, their interactions, the promotion of the series etc. I don't blame them if they don't want to go down this route. All the damn drama that comes with it, all the craziness ... sigh.

What good for is a good couple when they don't have a good script? The more I watch this series, the more I think this is a lost opportunity for them. The intensity, the drama, the passion, the emotions - would have made a great BL.
He looks young but he 100% doesn't look 14 (to me). He looks like he could be either 17, 18 or 19 (depends on…
I watched the Thai remake of Addicted/Heroin where one of the actors was indeed a minor. Didn't look like it at all. This young blond boy is one of the youngest looking faces I recall in BL. Only Make It Right (2016) was worse. He looks extremely childlike.
This is so depressing. Imagine being stuck in those boring marriages with those boring and uninteresting men. Unfortunately, this was and is a reality for most women.
Didn't he say after K2 he is done with action dramas? I'm glad he changed his mind. In my humble opinion, he isn't doing well in romantic dramas, he is too awkward and fidgety. But he is perfect for action/thriller roles. The awkwardness makes his characters so mysterious and raw.
Ive been wondering wether to start this or not. Is it very brutal? I dont mind violence on screen as long as its…
I called it a torture porn, because I see no need for this amount of violence. I skipped the last scenes in ep 4, and I didn't miss anything. In The Worst of Evil the violence was never unnecessary. It was an essential part of the story. In this series, though, we have seen our main characters fighting a bloody fight in ep 2 (which I liked a lot), now he gets beaten up again and again, blood, fighting, I get it. Can we move on? I was just looking at the screen and thinking: no, thanks, I don't want to see that. I mean, I already knew he wouldn't die. So why do I have to watch him getting beaten up in such detail AGAIN?

So yes, it sure is worth your time. At least, I enjoyed it. I just thought it could have been even better.
