The top/bottom roles will always be popular. And let's be honest, even in the gay community this is a thing, not every couple switches.
Still, I have high hopes for this series. The character can't be worse than in Cherry Magic. That was the weakest bottom in BL history.
This looks like a cheesy rom-com. I'm here for the fun, at least it's not a soap opera.

Honestly, this reminds me so much of KinnPorsche. They killed people left and right, shot one after another, between their killings they found time for sappy love confessions and love advice, and people were mad at their first sex, because Porsche was drugged. SA! No consent!
I'm pretty sure the guy in the bag at the beginning of ep2 would have preferred being forced kissed by Style or being choked by Fadel or being fooled by Kant instead of lying dead in that plastic bag.

An angsty mafia thriller? I never thought about that. I love TayNew but after Dark Blue Kiss and Cherry Magic the bar is low. I also thought, they wouldn't do another BL anymore. So I'm head over heals for this one.
They would do great in a gangster series, but again, my hopes were so tiny for them ever doing BL again, that I'm happy with everything.

This is what I was hoping for. We have still top and dominant Tay and bottom soft New, but at least New seems a bit more confident in this series. I rewatched Dark Blue Kiss lately, and TayNew is just magic. But Kao was such a stupid and hopeless character. In Cherry Magic it's even worse. That's why I LOVED New so much in Peaceful Property. No need to change up their top/bottom roles, I can live with that, since let's be honest, Tay has a lot of dominant energy and Newie is the cutie here, but just give him more confidence, more power. Thank you!

100% agree. He really looks like a woman, especially when he puts his sunglasses up in the hair. That combined with an elegant old-people-style makes is rather strange.
I guess I still have to get used to his character, but "butch lesbian" is a fitting description.

Talking about TayNew: I hope for a good production. Peaceful Property had such a great story, great cinematography, great pace, great music.
I didn't know GMMTV had such talented people. Hopefully, it will be a fun series and they can shine with their good acting and chemistry.

I don't like the Kant character. Unfortunately, we can't post screenshots here, otherwise I would post a picture of First sitting in that chair with those ugly grey socks, so that people can convince me this is a good style. Or a picture of him wearing those grandma glasses.
I hope the character gets more emotional depth, because that's when Firsts acting really shines.

You know, I'm not a fan of GMMTV sex scenes. I can't recall a single one I liked. They are not artistic enough, rather raunchy, they don't focus on the emotions, they are doing it like rabbits, they are finishing too fast, and overall, the acting isn't realistic. How they are moaning, and their facial expressions are not believable. I'm talking here about FirstKhao too. While I like them and their acting, their sex scenes aren't good and need improvement.
Sooooo ... I'm just here to say that Joong's masturbation scene was great. Damn. That's how you do it. THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT.

Some of you are honestly concerned about a forced kiss? A guy got kissed by someone who is weaker and smaller? Was he threatened at some point? No. He is not a woman who may fear of getting raped. So now he has an emotional trauma or what? If you don't like that kind of scenes - more power to you! But to think that this is problematic in an episode that starts with two guys dragging a bloody corpse along with them is as hilarious as stupid.
If there is something that's worth criticizing, it's the fact that they are killers. They kill people. This is portrayed as something rather not concerning. Somehow that's not an issue (at least I saw nobody complain about that), but a forced kiss is unbearable to watch.

I'm sure someone will now explain to me that this is fiction, and the killer plot is just that, part of the plot, but it's about the relationships and the emotions, and a forced kiss makes you uncomfortable. You can't make this sh*t up.

I'm insanely happy to see how the BL industry developed over the years. I remember back then in 2016 when those series got popular, most actors only did BL because of the quick money. We all assumed (viewers and company) when they are getting older they will have no such opportunities anymore. Just lately someone said TayNew are old now, their BL career is almost over. I feel like it's starting, not ending. They both never looked better. Also, OffGun have an interesting series from the director of Not Me. It's great that those "ancient ships" are still going strong. Fans love them.

I seriously wonder how doing BL would change their dynamics and chemistry. Their acting is very intense, but doing BL means being romantic and - let's be honest - a bit cheesy and cringe. I can't imagine how that would work between those two. Doesn't mean it wouldn't. It's just hard to imagine for some reason.

I understand the story, I just don't like it.
This character has zero appeal to me, especially the way she speaks combined with her rather sad and shy facial expression.
I'm not criticizing this series, I'm just immensely disappointed, because I'm not here for those dirty games. I thought this is a thriller with two people who finally grow closer together, who both misunderstood each other and finally learn about their true character and true feelings for each other. The fact, that she wants to escape is not to my liking. She was obviously hurt, because of him saying the kidnapper should just kill her, so it seemed she had feelings for her husband and wanted to make this work. Since she speaks, she is just childish and mad at him. How she pretends to be the kidnapper is messed up and stupid. Like I said, even the way she speaks is so cliché, the tone of her voice.
No, thank you. I was so excited yesterday. Finally, a great thriller/romance to watch. Something I have never seen before.
Also, people thinking this is "hot", the bar is low in Korean dramaland. How she send him a picture of this strange mole on her strangely shaped and too thin thighs ... This is some vanilla stuff that makes me embarrassed, honestly.
She should have never grabbed that phone. She pretends to be mute? I thought she had selective mutism and was healed out of anger in that car? I didn't think she pretended before.
They should have kept her mute. The kidnapper real. I assume he will stay real and get her again later on. But the whole pretending-to-be-the-kidnapper destroyed the whole story for me.

The moment she opened her mouth, everything went downhill. We don't need to hear her thoughts. She was so mysterious, composed and brave. Now she is just a lying b*tch.

I don't like her. She pretends to be mute and plays her husband.

My excitement went from 1000 to 0 in five minutes.
Loved both ml and fl. Ml being cold, but obviously caring. Fl being mute and sensitive, but also stubborn. I was so invested in her character, and her being mute made everything 1000 times better. Then she grabbed that damn phone, and since then everything feels so cliché. She transformed in one of those calculated boss bitches who are at the same time shy since it's Korean rom-com and of course we have to blush if our husband is in bed above us. The great premise made me expect a thriller with a touching love story. Instead, I got a cheesy adult manhwa that's supposed to be sexy, I assume.

I'm an advocate for people sharing their opinions as long as they aren't trolling.
The 1st episode was rather underwhelming, but not bad. I'm sure this series will be a big hit. This kind of stuff just sells. So let people criticize it and voice their opinion. Won't change anything about the success in the long run. It's not like people complaining here on MDL will have an effect on the numbers. It's also common that many complain after the first episode. Some of those will drop the series and then the praising time begins, where only those remain who love the series to the moon and back and won't stop gushing over it.

There are enough people who agree with me, and enough people who don't. So what? I just shared my taste, doesn't mean I have known. I liked First's "style" more in Not Me or even Only Friends. Those old man golfer shoes and women trousers ... well, the sunglasses in his hair, the hair cut isn't great either ... the tattoo looks drawn on with a pencil ... But if you say so, that this is perfect style, I won't argue with it ;P
