I think the really strong pairings are the ones with chemistry, yes, of course, but they have to fit each other acting-wise or, if that's not the case, then the better actor must be able to push the other one. Ohm is a good actor, but he became a great actor with Nanon. Leng isn't a good actor, and Ohm isn't really able to push him much. So they are both not that great together, and their series, like you said, wasn't well written or directed. It's a similar story with Gawin. I never thought he was an outstanding actor, but Krist was able to bring out the best in him in Be My Favorite. First is also such an actor, who can challenge others, so they match their performance with his. (I'm not talking about Khaotung, because he was always great and on First‘ level.)
So my issue with JossGawin: chemistry alone isn't saving them, if we will see any, because in the first episode there wasn't much. I don't know if they can both challenge each other and deliver great emotional scenes. Not to mention that the series seems low quality, and I'm not talking about the CGI, I'm mostly talking about the script and the directing. But well, enough negativity, I will wait for the next episode and see how it goes.

Same with GawinKrist, even though their chemistry was great. I wonder if JossGawin are now the real deal. I'm still hopeful. If GMMTV knows something, then it's the potential of their pairings. They don't make mistakes. Oh wait, I'm not a fan of OhmLeng either, to be honest. They are also in Only Friends 2 and are now an established pairing I assume.

Be Me Favorite was a masterpiece. I just rewatched half the series today. Incredible depth and complexity. The character development of Kawi was mind-blowing.

I rewatched the episode. I don't like the pairing at all. Gawin and Joss ... it's not clicking. I liked Gawin with First and Krist, but with Joss? Not Joss is the issue, though. I wished they gave him a different partner. But looking at Only Friends 2 I see they are trying to establish this pairing.
The plot is also a downgrade for Gawin, because Be My Favorite was one of the best written and psychological complex BLs ever. This series, though, will most likely not reach this level of depth. So Gawin went from Not Me and Be My Favorite to this?

It's fun, entertaining, sexy. So yeah ... I try to stay optimistic, but this is not a masterpiece in the making.

I think it's always the same person with a new username. It's the 3rd or 4th time that I experience this on MDL. It always happens when a series just recently aired. The tone is always the same. Very offensive, low blows, series is "garbage" (favorite word), calling people constantly stupid because they like it while bragging at the same time about being so much smarter than everyone else and having better taste. One time the user commented with two different names, basically he answered his own comments. Crazy stuff. That's why I said we have to report them.

Is this romance or psychological thriller? I'm not in the mood for mind games, not today. I mean, is there a light at the end of the tunnel? I haven't started the series, I just read some comments, and I'm confused.

The troll is back. Every time a new series starts, some strange hater rises from the abyss and offends everyone and everything. Every time they have a different name.

Not sure if I will continue watching this. The cheap production wasn't an issue. Of course, this is not high budget, but they did a good job with some effects. I also liked the background music and the atmosphere they created in some scenes.
But the story seems rather boring and unlogical. I also don't like Gawin in this role. I was never the biggest fan of him, but I enjoyed his character in Be My Favorite. He did well in Not Me too, but I feel this role doesn't suit him at all. The character seems rather clueless and boring. His reactions are strange. So I don't know if Gawin is to blame or rather the character. Joss is doing an okay job. He has the looks for the role, and I like his calm and superior attitude.
Yeah ... not much more to say. It was interesting, but not exciting, and I have zero hopes this will get any better. It's good enough to kill some time, but I don't see much potential with this kind of plot and characters.

GMMTV series are getting more erotic

Watching this series I understand why some people complain that K-dramas lost their charm and magic. This is so mediocre on every possible level, so cliché, from the lame humor to the overacting of side characters (the agents), those trip-fall-kiss scenes, the umbrella-scenes, the I-save-you-from-a-vehicle-scenes, the We-met-as-children-and-were-best-friends-scenes. Sigh. I still enjoy it, because I love the ml since Are you human, too? and the fl is also doing a great job. The brother-sister relationship is interesting, and did I say I love the ml? The guy is gorgeous and a great actor. The series is well-made, beautifully filmed and all, but it feels so recycled. There is a lack of new ideas in K-drama-land especially when it comes to romances.

Seeing such critical reviews about this series when Jack and Joker has a 8,8 rating on MDL is irritating.

Whatever people didn't like about the plot, and yes, it was silly, it sure wasn't worse than Jack and Joker, because I felt offended by that dumb writing.
Not to put one series down, but I think it should be common knowledge now, that BLs don't have quality writing and high budget.
I will tell you why: They don't need it. Even if this series would have had the most complex, best written plot ever seen - you don't get more viewers. It's not like suddenly non-BL watchers all over the world will flock towards it.
They know their target group, their audience. They can reach them just fine with series like this, and make good money. Investing more would be risky, and most likely it doesn't pay off.

You won't find a better plot, a better series for those actors, because there are no good writers who work in this genre.
