Here we are, over halfway through the season, and I’m just so sick and tired of it being Charlie vs. Babe when…
I genuinely wonder what kind of people enjoy watching Charlie & Babe. This couple has nothing interesting, hot or emotional to offer. It's just exhausting watching them.

I feel like watching a different series. Those two aren't doing it for me. I see people gushing over their kisses. I don't see anything special. Also, I can't get over the fact, that the 2nd lead is as much an Olympic gold medal winner as me. It makes everything so silly, when they talk about him being an athlete. It lowers the quality of the series so much, because every time he is on screen, I get reminded that they didn't bother to cast an athletic actor, because they don't give a damn. The guy has zero charms. People can find him cute, I see that, but he is socially awkward, not athletic (his posture is horrible), not funny or particular smart, he is just shy and weird. And, let's be honest, objectively speaking he isn't very attractive or handsome. Still, I'm supposed to believe he can find friends and lovers so quickly? How the story develops, the pace, the dialogues, the whole thing seems very childish to me. Maybe "childish" is the wrong word, because I don't think it's immature ... it's just that this is the kind of story young people will enjoy. It's a story about first love, more or less. The characters aren't well-thought-out. But they don't have to be. Because this isn't about good characters or a good story, it's just about two young guys falling in love and being cute, which by the way happened too fast. Suddenly, Kwon Jeong was all shy and head over heals for Han Ji Won, when he was more the cool type before. For the sake of the plot, they made him a puppy in love. Because he couldn't resist Han Ji Won's charm? Give me a break. Seriously, those characters are so boring. Sorry, not sorry.

"Charlieee" is the equivalent of P'Deeeeaan
I can't hear it anymore! I also don't like how thai people pronounce English names. Tony is Tonieeee.

Title My Stubborn
Since the event with his ex, Sorn swore he'd never be interested in someone younger. But a couple years later…
We know that. Still, the whole "I don't date younger guys" is ridiculous since the age difference isn't that big. The older they grow, the more irrelevant it becomes. It's just a weak excuse. Can we agree on that? And again, since he was accused of being physical with the girl against her will, why the hell would he have a purely physical relationship with a younger guy?
Just make the story like this: Sorn was in love with a younger person, this person was meeting other people too, didn't commit to the relationship, was very unreliable, very immature etc. - DONE! Makes perfect sense. He thinks younger people are unstable, want to experiment, don't take relationships serious. He is afraid of getting hurt again, because he wants to commit. Perfect! Since Jun also showed exactly that behavior, the story would make 100% sense.
1st rule in writing a story: Don't make it complicated.
Even Jun's confession, and Sorn still being unsure about committing would make sense, since he doesn't trust younger people and their changing heart.

Is it really that hard to get that just being fuck buddies and being in an actual relationship are different things?…
Your comment supports apathy's view. But that's not how the story was presented. The background story with the girl makes no sense.

You're welcome!
Seriously ... Sorn's behavior was more believable, before Jun confessed. We can agree Sorn is dense, but since Jun shows some suspiciously promiscuous behavior (he is around a lot of guys, very outgoing, hangs out in bars), it was not far-fetched that Sorn assumed Jun has no feelings for him and is going out with other guys. He isn't, but just saying, you can get that impression, so I understood Sorn's indecision for a long time. He obviously isn't aware of how much he hurts Jun, and how much Jun likes him, which is concerning.
But since Jun confessed, which honestly surprised me - Sorn's excuses for not dating him were just laughable.

The novel is a badly written wattpad story. That's what you're missing. I guess the author just started out with a hot idea (older guy teaches younger guy about sex), most likely the story got popular, and later on the author had to justify Sorn's behavior, and apparently she didn't come up with something better.
Jokes aside (nope, I'm sure that's the truth), you said it exactly how it is. It makes no sense that he is afraid of a romantic relationship (or breaking up with him), when he basically f*cks him regularly and uses him like some sex toy. But "Sorn math" means that this treatment is less traumatizing than being in a relationship. And also, like you said, since the physical contact was the issue with the girl, why would he ever sleep with Jun? He would avoid him like the plague.
The author then added the issue of Jun being the "brother" of Thai. Just to add some more stupidity to "Sorn math".

Oat is too good for this series. Sorry, not sorry. The editor is on drugs. The writer tries hard to make sense of Sorn's senseless behavior. It's not working. Thankfully, we don't have to endure his stupidity any longer.
I'm a bit tired.
But Oat outacted himself in this episode. Jun's character development was done well. I just can't get over Sorn's stupidity. It drags the plot down.
And did I mention the editing/writing? We jump from one scene to another. And those high resolution shots of their faces. Kudos to the make-up team, but well ... tone it down a bit.

yeaah, i agree. for thai bl series is very rare that all the cast, or most of it is actually good at acting ,…
There are many good actors in Thai BLs.
Nanon for example (yes, he once did BL). Great actor. Off and Gun both showed what they are capable of. Tay and New were great in Peaceful Property, together with their female co-stars. This was a high quality series I didn't even know GMMTV was capable of creating. Incredible storytelling. Krist is good. Frist is a good actor, Khaotung is sometimes too dramatic, but he is good nonetheless. War is also a good actor, Oat in My Stubborn is talented. I could go on and on and on.
The issue is not the acting, it almost never was. The issue is the writing. And this will not change, since BL is mostly fanservice. There are always the same stories, the same dynamics, and the same tropes, because it sells. So if you want to blame someone: blame the audience. And let me tell you, I know what I'm talking about. I make a living with novel writing for ten years. There are certain stories that sell, others don't. You can't force it. And those great stories you want to see and experience, will most likely not sell that well. I still think to this day Be My Favorite was one of the most cleverly written BL series I have ever seen with incredible character development and an interesting plot - it's not a hit series. People didn't watch.
Talking about pairing the same couple: I'm not a crazy shipper who can't stand seeing actors with different co-stars. But I'm also someone who enjoys certain couples and their chemistry, for example TayNew and recently BenzGarfield. Give me more of them! Especially, since nobody knows how long they will be in the BL business. For example, I never thought we would get another TayNew series. The actors are getting older, new boys are entering the business, because young girls want to watch their high school series, less projects are offered to older actors. So I don't see why they should break up a good couple, if people enjoy watching them together.
It's not that serious at the end of the day. It's business.
Don't enjoy, don't watch. I'm not saying this, because I don't want you to rant about it. But not watching and not engaging in the content, is the only power you have as a viewer to show them they are doing something wrong.
So again, blame those silly girls screaming at those good-looking boys when they perform on those fan meetings. Those girls don't care about storytelling or plot development.
Last but not least: If you wanted to complain specifically about PitBabe: What are those actors supposed to do with the material they got? Those characters feel fake, the relationships creep me out. I'm just watching because I have a soft spot for Benz and Garfield. This script is horrible.
On This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans Jun 15, 2025
I rewatched this series for Methas and JJ.
I LOVE THIS COUPLE.
I love BenzGarfield.
Their dynamic is so fun and unique. They make Methas (Benz) the top (and I'm not necessarily talking about sexual positions). He is dominant, cheeky, but also a ball of sunshine, so much fun, soooo into JJ. It's beautiful to watch. JJ on the other hand is rather reserved, almost shy in their intimate interactions, he obviously plays hard to get. We get some surprise kisses between them, initiated by Methas of course, and JJ behaves like a shy virgin. At this point, someone could have thought, they won't give us good kisses. But then comes that love scene at the end, and I can't stop smiling. They are soooo natural, like they are used to kiss each other. Methas is sooo into it, and JJ is just holding back, let's be honest. The guy is not bottom material. Garfield radiates calmness and strength, he isn't as cheeky and bubbly as Benz. That's why their dynamic is so unique. This is such a beautiful combination. They are a match made in heaven. Obviously, the actors like each other a lot, which makes this hundred million times better. I'm in love.

I do agree, I am liking this story a lot, simple, but well executed, good acting, and JungWoo is...... too much…
Both of their friends would have been a better choice. Both are a bit shorter than the 1st male lead, since gymnasts aren't that tall. Both have a better posture and a good body. Both radiate enough confidence. But they went for the cute/clumsy/shy trope. Wasted potential.
I sound bitter, sorry.

Cute story, typical Korean style, which means beautiful filming and good acting. I have butterflies watching it, and it really feels like Semantic Error: similar characters, similar personalities, similar development of the story.
But like many others already said: the 2nd lead is not believable as a gymnast, not regarding his body, not regarding his personality. This character feels so made up in a sense that you wouldn't find him in real life. Doing competitive sports is hard on your body and mind. Han Ji Won comes across as your typical shy and cute guy who doesn't go much outside and never meets many people, a manga reader rather than an Olympic gold medalist. Everything about his body, the way he moves, how he runs, how he stands - it's not convincing. Same with his personality. They try to tell us how competitive he is, but we don't see it. Since we are watching a cute BL, let's not be too critical, but I wished they had casted someone else. There was this scene where he had to cool his leg, because apparently he was showing his skills earlier on some kind of event (I went back several times since I thought I missed a scene). But they just skipped it, because obviously he is not athletic.
Out of topic: I still think about Dark Blue Kiss, where they opened up the series with Tay in his swim wear diving into the pool, and it looked soooo bad. Then the scene at the end, where he is already in the pool and New is diving in very randomly. His character was portrayed as clumsy and shy, but I‘m still laughing to this day because his dive was perfect. New was a swimmer. Just saying couldn't they find someone who has a tiny amount of experience in gymnastics? Or some other sport? Someone who has some muscle, good body control and a good posture? Since this is based on a manhwa, it really feels like the author just went for the cool/handsome and shy/cute trope without giving it much thought, if those characters are believable.

what's hetero kiss?
A man kissing a woman.
You hardly find any women in BL, you sure like hell never see them kissing the main guy. Even in a series like Be My Favorite which basically was a love triangle, and the guy even married the woman in an alternative timeline - they never kissed.
On Ball Boy Tactics Jun 13, 2025
I have never seen a hetero kiss in a BL before. Even in a rather explicit series like My Stubborn they make sure the main leads only kiss each other and no one else.
It's like an unspoken rule nobody every dared to break.
