I've seen at least five people now complain that the main lead "looks like a child," 🤡 It's his appearance...he's…
Body shaming ... yeah, sure. If I met him in real life, he can look like a 13 years old and be half his size - I don't care. The boy is damn beautiful! But he is casted in a sexy BL with questionable consent, scenes where crotches are pressed against asses, legs are spread, and anal sex is talked about. Sorry, not sorry, when I prefer having older actors casted in such series. For someone who is around 20 themselves, young, horny and into those guys (they are beautiful indeed), this may be hot. For someone a bit older, my pedophile radar is going through the roof. They should cast him in a cute high school BL series. I would watch him then. Appearances matter in casting choices.
After the first kiss happened (which was very disappointing), I continued watching out of curiosity, because I wanted to know if they are able to deliver a meaningful kissing scene or any other intimate scene that makes me feel connected to the characters. Nope, didn't happen. I don't think it will happen in the future either, since the characters lack depth and the acting isn't that great. The "bottoms" look like underdeveloped 15 years old which isn't helping either. The doctor looks like a child playing dress-up. China's obsession with thinness is making me uncomfortable. The humor is not that funny. The dub and the occasional overacting also makes it hard to connect emotionally to the characters. There are lots of typical tropes you find in Chinese BLs: top/bottom stereotypes, questionable consent, talk about bleeding when having anal sex (I thought we were over this) in a humorous way, may I add. Unfunny enough. Bottom line: I feel that the younger generation is experiencing their Addicted-era. But Addicted was more raw and felt real. I felt like the characters ware crawling under my skin. Not happening with Revenged Love.
I honestly am watching this for Kim Kenta! Like they have the MOST compelling story (and might I say kinda the…
Garfield is very underrated as an actor. After that kiss he had such a soft expression in his eyes. Those eyes tell you everything and more. The Kenta character is so different from the JJ character. You wouldn't even think it's the same actor.
Dear SJC, as a gay man, I could tell you that grabbing between men you want are not the same as the opposite sex.…
"as a gay man" This is coming from China, the author is female. Chinese BL written by females is always full of rape. Hetero women in general like rape fantasies. So I don't know how a gay perspective can explain anything about this series.
OMG YESSS that cringy @ss thing about mama and papa got me squirming over here. and also agree that charlie is…
The casting was a big mistake. No idea why they casted someone so young that also lacks talent. Sorry, not sorry. Everyone else would have been a better choice. Even someone with the looks of Benz (cute face, small build) has more alpha energy than Pooh.
Can we stop with the Papa/Mama cringy nonsense already?!!! My eyes and ears are bleeding!!! I mean once I heard…
I don't even watch this series, I'm just skipping through. But I remember that I liked Pete and Way in s1, especially Way caught my eye. I rooted for them. In s2 those two creep me out like no other.
Here we are, over halfway through the season, and I’m just so sick and tired of it being Charlie vs. Babe when…
I genuinely wonder what kind of people enjoy watching Charlie & Babe. This couple has nothing interesting, hot or emotional to offer. It's just exhausting watching them.
I feel like watching a different series. Those two aren't doing it for me. I see people gushing over their kisses. I don't see anything special. Also, I can't get over the fact, that the 2nd lead is as much an Olympic gold medal winner as me. It makes everything so silly, when they talk about him being an athlete. It lowers the quality of the series so much, because every time he is on screen, I get reminded that they didn't bother to cast an athletic actor, because they don't give a damn. The guy has zero charms. People can find him cute, I see that, but he is socially awkward, not athletic (his posture is horrible), not funny or particular smart, he is just shy and weird. And, let's be honest, objectively speaking he isn't very attractive or handsome. Still, I'm supposed to believe he can find friends and lovers so quickly? How the story develops, the pace, the dialogues, the whole thing seems very childish to me. Maybe "childish" is the wrong word, because I don't think it's immature ... it's just that this is the kind of story young people will enjoy. It's a story about first love, more or less. The characters aren't well-thought-out. But they don't have to be. Because this isn't about good characters or a good story, it's just about two young guys falling in love and being cute, which by the way happened too fast. Suddenly, Kwon Jeong was all shy and head over heals for Han Ji Won, when he was more the cool type before. For the sake of the plot, they made him a puppy in love. Because he couldn't resist Han Ji Won's charm? Give me a break. Seriously, those characters are so boring. Sorry, not sorry.
Since the event with his ex, Sorn swore he'd never be interested in someone younger. But a couple years later…
We know that. Still, the whole "I don't date younger guys" is ridiculous since the age difference isn't that big. The older they grow, the more irrelevant it becomes. It's just a weak excuse. Can we agree on that? And again, since he was accused of being physical with the girl against her will, why the hell would he have a purely physical relationship with a younger guy? Just make the story like this: Sorn was in love with a younger person, this person was meeting other people too, didn't commit to the relationship, was very unreliable, very immature etc. - DONE! Makes perfect sense. He thinks younger people are unstable, want to experiment, don't take relationships serious. He is afraid of getting hurt again, because he wants to commit. Perfect! Since Jun also showed exactly that behavior, the story would make 100% sense. 1st rule in writing a story: Don't make it complicated. Even Jun's confession, and Sorn still being unsure about committing would make sense, since he doesn't trust younger people and their changing heart.
The novel is a badly written wattpad story. That's what you're missing. I guess the author just started out with…
You're welcome! Seriously ... Sorn's behavior was more believable, before Jun confessed. We can agree Sorn is dense, but since Jun shows some suspiciously promiscuous behavior (he is around a lot of guys, very outgoing, hangs out in bars), it was not far-fetched that Sorn assumed Jun has no feelings for him and is going out with other guys. He isn't, but just saying, you can get that impression, so I understood Sorn's indecision for a long time. He obviously isn't aware of how much he hurts Jun, and how much Jun likes him, which is concerning. But since Jun confessed, which honestly surprised me - Sorn's excuses for not dating him were just laughable.
I’m struggling to follow “Sorn Math.”If he has a trauma about the age gap due to what happened with the…
The novel is a badly written wattpad story. That's what you're missing. I guess the author just started out with a hot idea (older guy teaches younger guy about sex), most likely the story got popular, and later on the author had to justify Sorn's behavior, and apparently she didn't come up with something better. Jokes aside (nope, I'm sure that's the truth), you said it exactly how it is. It makes no sense that he is afraid of a romantic relationship (or breaking up with him), when he basically f*cks him regularly and uses him like some sex toy. But "Sorn math" means that this treatment is less traumatizing than being in a relationship. And also, like you said, since the physical contact was the issue with the girl, why would he ever sleep with Jun? He would avoid him like the plague. The author then added the issue of Jun being the "brother" of Thai. Just to add some more stupidity to "Sorn math".
It's true

Even worse
