Dropped. I understand now why some people criticized Nice (Keen) as an actor. I start to dislike him. I don't know. Maybe I will come back and binge-watch it when all episodes are out. The best thing about this series are the fights. Those look professional.
This is how you do a NC heavy bl series - make it sexy and funny and sweet. Full credit to the leads, they can…
The sex scenes need much more praise. Those two look great when kissing and touching. I'm not the biggest fan of Boat's acting, but I won't blame him, since they didn't give him much to work with. His character has to be stoic. But how he portrays the longing and passion towards Jun is next level. I feel that. Oat/Jun on the other hand knows what kind of faces you make when having sex. I'm so glad they casted an older actor. Not gonna lie, I dropped many series, because of bad or unrealistic sex scenes. Just don't do it, if you can't make it look good. Give me something nice to enjoy, or just skip it! Don't give me young actors with fake moaning or - even worse - who are smiling and looking all relaxed while doing it. Come on! That's not how it feels! Btw: The love scenes in this series are obviously in slow motion, so I played them at 2x speed just out of curiosity, because I have seen how editors play those scenes slower so they look better, more aesthetically pleasing. I was expecting some sloppy kisses in real speed, but nope. Looks the same. Beautiful. Music is good too. It fits the mood and isn't too distracting. And despite some people complaining there are too much sex scenes, they are always showing us something new and exciting. That sex scene in Ep 5 made me laugh way too much. This series has an easy plot, is character driven, has lots of passion and humor. They kept it simple, THEY UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT!
I don't think they caught the drug ring, they just caught two people who sell drugs. We are still at episode 2…
"The police has successfully arrested the members of the drug ring in the area" - Phi reported. Sounds like some big fish, but I guess you're right, he only meant those two people, the woman and the man.
I'm not the biggest fan of the writing, to be honest. The story lacks excitement. The plot on how they are playing reporter isn't very realistic. How they caught a drug ring in the very first episode - no comment. The emotions, the characters, the acting - that's the strength of the series. But the characters and their dynamics don't seem very suspenseful to me. I still remember Arthit in Sotus, which was a very unique character with a hidden personality, and Kongpop being so righteous, there was lots of conflict and tension between them. I think this series would need a bit more tension and excitement. At the moment it's obvious that both still like each other, the big question is only why did they separate? I must admit, I feel like that revelation won't be great either. The series is overall well-made, but it feels a bit repetitive. I'm not a fan of those scenes where they come closer, suddenly everything is in slow motion and romantic music plays. They overdid it with those scenes, and we are only at episode two. Well, this will be a good series to binge-watch for sure, when the drama and the emotions kicks in. The quality is there. The acting is good. The chemistry isn't sparkling, but mostly because the characters feel so tame. And since I loved Kirst so much in Be My Favorite, and I tend to gush over this series, I must say it surprises me how similar this character is to the adult Kawi character. I think they dressed and styled him even the same. I feel like watching Kawi. It's a bit disappointing, but nobody can reinvent himself a million times. If that kind of style suits him best, so be it. Whatever. I don't want to sound negative. The series is pretty nice, but they could spice it up a bit, and I'm not talking about love scenes. I need a bit more tension and drama.
I have never seen a BL where a couple fitted each other so well and deserved each other so much. Sorn was a manipulative asshole, and now he is suffering. It makes me laugh so hard. Maybe it shouldn't. Jun is a little shit who isn't easy to deal with and impossible to control. Whatever Sorn did to him, he now has to pay for it. You can say, he brought it upon himself, but this is the genius of the series. It's so simple, and yet so complex. So wrong, and yet so funny.
I'm starting to laugh at Sorn even more than Jun. Those sad puppy eyes when Jun talked about his "date", the cute bear. Poor Sorn! But he brought it upon himself, I guess. It's a while now that I think he looks miserable. LMAO. Let's be honest, even if they confess their love to each other, dealing with Jun will NEVER be easy!
Don't belittle this series. I read things like "there is no plot", "it's so bad that it's good", "the acting is stiff". Nope. There is good acting from Oat. The guy is incredible. He is without a doubt the star of the series. The plot is questionable and not new. Senior teaches junior about sex and stuff. Yeah. That's ... well, whatever. But the execution is fun. Jun isn't your typical shy and inexperienced junior, the guy is so funny, and he knows what he wants. There was never any pressure, so this is not even toxic like people make it out to be. The more you watch, the more obvious it is, that Jun has Sorn wrapped around his finger. Those two seem to match each other well, and from the end credits I feel like this is the beginning of a pretty healthy relationship. Sure, the whole jealousy thing and the fact that they aren't honest and don't communicate is not great. But this is an old-school-plot, the kind that apparently never dies out. And then the NC scenes. How many actors can pull it off? This is an accomplishment by itself. They have great chemistry, and more than the actors, I praise the production company. That's how it's done! Some good music, slow motion, showing as much as possible, but not too much. Other companies should take some notes! So yeah, I'm done now. This is my new obsession. I can't remember when it was the last time I had so much fun. But if not for Oat (Jun) I would skip this series for sure. So people, if you think there is no good acting, watch him closely. He reminds me of War. Both remind me of War and Yin, with Yin playing the older one, while being younger. It's the same here. I don't know if we will see those two ever again, but I'm a fan now.
I am 100% not watching this for its layered plot, intelligent script, emotional resonance and stellar acting.…
There is indeed stellar acting to be found. Oat is great. Where was this guy hiding? He makes this series 100% work, otherwise it would be cringy and stupid. The guy has millions of different face expressions, his acting is very natural, the chemistry with his co-star great. He reminds me of War. Both are similar to War and Yin, with Yin being the younger one but playing the older character. Same here. I'm glad they didn't cast a young 22 years old for the role of the "kid". It would feel awkward for sure, but Oat is the GOAT. I'm honestly in love with that dorky and sassy character.
Can I be honest? This looks and feels like a low quality series. The flow just isn't right. The directing, the editing - I don't like it. The actors aren't anything special, but strangely enough, they have an alluring charm. I like Keen, sometimes I enjoy his acting a lot, sometimes I don't think it's very good. Same for Than. Overall, he plays the role well, but he isn't an outstanding actor. Both have good chemistry, though. The older actors are terrible, like always in BL series. I don't know where they find those people. The plot has potential though, but I have no idea where they are going with the couples. Maybe that's the reason why I'm still invested. The main couple fought so much this episode, I was thinking how they will fix this. The next moment they apologize, then there is tension again. It's not that I didn't see the romance between them, but I was constantly wandering, how they will fix this relationship and where this is going. Then they kissed, which I didn't expect so early. But I liked it, since we already could feel there is something between them, it just didn't seem like it would work out so easily. I'm not criticizing the writing here, I think those characters being so unpredictable is the reason, why I still enjoy it. So well, lets see where this is going. It feels different somehow, new and exciting.
For all those people who are gushing over this first episode saying this is good for Thai BL, the acting is great, this is on another level: watch Be My Favorite. It has the same vibe. Mostly because of Krist's acting, but also regarding the production quality. Singto is the better actor than Gawin, though, but the writing is most likely better in Be My Favorite. We will see. But seriously, same vibe. Phi reminds me a lot of the not so great future version of Kawi. Aou is there too.
Maybe I will come back and binge-watch it when all episodes are out.

First of all, it seems to be consensus that Sorn is an a**hole, and Jun deserves better.
Well, I can't really argue with that, but I still want to share my thoughts.
This series looks like one of those toxic cliché top-bottom series, with Sorn being this cold, stiff and dominant guy who doesn't show emotions and is super perfect and good-looking and great in bed (lol).
Jun is the clumsy dorky kid that knows nothing, is controlled by Sorn and helpless.
Not really.
I may be in the minority, but for me it was clear from the very beginning that Sorn is head over heels for Jun. The scene where he gave him a blowjob surprised me. That's a rather submissive thing to do for the great dominant good-looking perfect top who everybody wants. From the very beginning, it was clear that he wants Jun badly. The actor is great in portraying the longing and passion. I could feel it through the screen how badly he wanted to sleep with him.
So what did he do to Jun? If I think about the very first scene, where Jun caught him masturbating, what would be a normal reaction? For Jun to just turn around and walk away. But he didn't. He was getting horny instead. Imagine the roles had been reversed, everyone would think Sorn is a pervert, getting horny while peeking at his junior masturbating. My point is, Jun comes across as this (sexually) curious, horny kid, that wants to experiment and is rather promiscuous. Even though he isn't promiscuous, but since he is so easy going, getting along with everybody, hanging out at bars, that's the impression someone can get, so I think Sorn's jealousy isn't unreasonable. He obviously wants Jun to himself, but he can't control him. He is unable to tell Jun about his feelings, and all that crap about Jun being a bad kisser and he needs a teacher - well, that was unnecessary. But he never forced himself on him. He told him once he will stop if Jun doesn't like it. There was a scene where Jun closed the door in his face. Sorn never gets aggressive, he takes it with an annoyed or well, sad face. He accepts Juns decisions. Not gonna lie, but it surprised me many times how docil and helpless Sorn really is.
Talking about the last episode and people complaining nothing happened:
Jun was sitting on the floor on purpose to give Sorn the opportunity to do something to him, which basically means he wanted something done to him, but instead of just admitting or initiating it himself, he sat in front of him between his legs. Then the scene in the restaurant. He played him on purpose, made him jealous, just to tease him. He wanted to split the bill, because he wants to be equal in this relationship. This shows, that he takes this relationship serious. Sorn refuses, because he wants to care for Jun, not understanding what this really is about. Jun is grumpy. At home, Jun wants to help him cook. Sorn refuses again - but then he changes his mind. That's a big step. They both are making this work slowly. Sorn is impressed by Jun's cooking skills, the forehead kiss happens, and then later, they kiss on the couch happen, and I'm too lazy to check all the scenes, but I'm pretty sure that was the very first time that Jun moved his lips first, so he kissed him first. We are slowly getting a shift in the power dynamics, even though I never thought that Sorn overpowers Jun in any way.
Those two are both lying to each other and hurting each other. But that's the game, that's the plot. Sorn could tell him straight to his face, he likes him. Problem solved. Jun could do the same. Problem solved! They won't. At least not yet. But they are slowly going in the right direction, and this episode was the first step.
Now I feel that I wrote too much about this silly series, but I love the games, and I love how both are so helpless and stubborn and are suffering, because of their stubbornness.
Nope.

I just started it, but this is gold.
So well, lets see where this is going.

Can you believe it?
Miracles still happen.
One of the most successful BL series, back then they were pioneers in the genre
