This is a snoozefest. I'm not a fan of those series where they get together so fast and are lovely dovey suddenly. Mostly, because the characters lack depth, their relationship had no build-up, and we get robbed of a lot of emotions we could have experienced while rooting for them and watching them getting closer. Also, I feel like lately there are a lot of series that play it safe. There is a lack of talent in editing/filmmaking/writing. The music is so generic, the scenes are so generic, it's just all the time the same. Either they play it safe, like I said, or there is a team behind it, who lacks creativity and some balls, and is just doing what they think will sell best. And, let's be honest, seeing the comments, it's enought to have good looking guys on screen. Investing in make-up and good lightening is most likely more profitable than writing a good story. On a side note: Why are those action and fight scenes in slow motion?
And by the way: GMMTV can do better. Peaceful Property from last year was about Ghosts and Horror, and they did a phenomenal job with the writing and the filming/editing, or High School Frenemy which also had some decent action scenes. So I wonder if this is GMMTV BL style or what?
The only thing I can praise: the coloring, the locations and the grunge style.

Well, read my comment again. I'm whining about the long wait.
Pre-production? Will it take another year then? Also, some series get cancelled, or the final product is completely different than the first trailer. That's very common. That the series we get has nothing to do with what we expected.

I'm a long time BL watcher, but I'm so tired, really. It's not like those companies or actors owe us anything, but to wait for years and years and years.
I was never the biggest KinnPorsche fan out there, but for those who liked Mile and Apo, we had to wait 3 yeas for Shine, a mini series. I always liked BounPrem, and now after 3 years we got Revamp. High School Frenemy was pretty great last year, but despite Sky and Nani's popularity we got nothing this year from them, and what we will get next year nobody knows. I have a soft spot for BenzGarfield, but again, we got nothing in PitBabe and last year they only got a role as side couple in a mini series.
I'm honestly forgetting about those actors and series if they keep this up.
Same with TayNew. It will be 3 years after Cherry Magic if they release this next year.
THREEE YEARS. Come on!

Lately, I have a hard time getting into those new BL series. They kill all the chemistry between the actors with the writing. I need some tension, some excitement. That's what makes a good couple. I don't feel like this is the case here.

No hate here, but why is this so popular? More than 1 M views on the first part of first episode. I don't know the company, I don't know the actors. It seems they are newbies? Lately, I feel series get hyped because the actors are attractive? Like Revenged Love, which sure wasn't popular because of the groundbreaking story/plot and great love scenes. I have seen people are mentioning the beauty of the actors? I mean, who doesn't want to look at beautiful people, but I'm a bit confused. Was there a lot of promotion for this? I didn't watch the series. I tried, I'm just not in the mood for this story at the moment. So I'm not saying this is bad. I'm just genuinely surprised about the number of viewers, the views on Youtube, the praise, the hype. I feel this is coming out of nowhere, and suddenly everyone is watching it? But then the rating on MDL is rather low, which doesn't mean much, but still. Is the novel popular and well known? I mean, I'm not that active in the BL world, but normally I'm aware of any popular series coming out.

Japanese dystopian/sci-fi: Ai no Kusabi. Original anime movie from 1992. Unfinished remake from 2012.
Just to mention what came to my mind.

Many (western) survival/post-apocalyptic or fantasy series have gay couples like in The Last Of Us, Buffy, The 100, Shadowhunters etc.

There is just too much out there, that's the problem. Nobody can reinvent the wheel.

Has anyone a good BL recommendation? I feel like nothing is catching my interest lately.

Since it's MileApo most likely KinnPorsche fans are watching. It's possible they give low ratings because they expected something else.

Lost of words to explain something simple.
It's indie style, unique, not mainstream. Such series have to earn good ratings much harder.

Great style. Very artistic. I love the colors and the overall atmosphere. But I'm not gonna lie, it isn't as captivating as I hoped. MileApo as a couple is enjoyable to watch, but I was never crazy about them. I can't say that I really care about thai politics in the 70s. We have so much political issues today worldwide, and honestly speaking, I think we are headed for a bleak future, so I don't have the patience to learn about the issues back then. I'm at an age where I prefer feel good stories.

I feel like they are all full of themselves. Those producers and writers aren't very talented, but BL brings a lot of money. It went to their heads.
I have no idea how people at such an age can look at this work and think: This is good.

The most tragic thing about KimKenta:
People can't even make proper fanvids, because after two seasons they don't have enough material/scenes for a video with an average song length of 3 minutes and 30 seconds. It's only enough for some short edits and stuff.

Now the gays can have divorces too! Yeah!

I started watching Pitbabe back then when it aired, because of Pavel. I liked him in 2moons. After 1st episode I dropped it. PoohPavel is not working. I have no idea why they force that ship on us. Seems the fans are also very aggressive and fear other couples/ships are getting more popular.
Well, I came back because of the side couples.
PoohPavel doesn't have the power. I have seen so many couples come and go, this is one of the most boring and unappealing ships ever. Pooh's acting isn't great. Seeing people say stuff like "you did well, Pooh, I love you" - are we in kindergarten? He is an adult actor for Christ’s sake. He is supposed to be good at acting. While other couples indeed do well without the pampering, and don't get the chance to prove themselves. Some crazy people saying Milk got connection, because they added the Willy character. The guy appeared out from nowhere, showed a good performance, and that was it. If anyone has connections, it must be Pooh.
Silly. Everything is silly.
Honestly, I don't care about PoohPavel, I don't wish for MilkPavel or something. I fell out of love with Pavel since I didn't like the Babe character very much. But this ship reminds me of JossGawin or even PerthChimon. Some ships just don't work. You can't force it. But they still do it, since there is a new series for PoohPavel in the making. I don't think it would work if they switched their roles either. To be fair, there is even a series for PingNut, and I must say, Nut was the weakest actor of the bunch. His chemistry with Ping isn't mind-blowing either.
So ... it seems to me not much is needed nowadays to promote those couples. BenzGarfield are the only ones I would like to watch an NC scene. That says it all, because I'm a sucker for NC scenes. If you skip them, that tells you everything you have to know about the "chemistry" and the appeal of the couples.
But since most people just care about naked skin and f*cking, they are easy to please. Really easy. Especially younger people. I'm honestly so surprised that almost every damn BL ship gets his own fanclub immediately. Sorry for the rant.

If you want to sell a BL, you need good-looking and charming boys, not a good script.
They needed five (!!!) couples and lots of sex scenes to get those views.
If you think about how popular some series became just with one or two couples and no NC scenes (2gether, Bad Buddy), then this isn't really an accomplishment.
