I have to talk about Dunk's acting. When those two, Dunk and Joong got big, I wasn't interested, because their series were the kind I was fed up with at that time (school, slow and soft romance etc.). Also, Joong was rumored to be homophobic, who most likely only the older people like me who watch BL for way too long still remember. Seeing them getting so big, I thought this is all PR. Joong came back to get some money, and regarding Dunk, I watched some very short scenes with him and also felt the acting is more than lacking. Joong was accused of having a very stiff expression, not a big range. So now I'm guilty of believing those rumors and making up my mind after only watching maybe half an episode of their work. Since Style and Fadel impressed me from episode 1, and in my humble opinion outshine FirstKhao in this series (who would have expected that!), I went and watched Hidden Agenda. To my surprise: there was nothing wrong with the acting. Joong acts mostly with his eyes, and he is very good at it. He is indeed a very fine actor. And Dunk? He has a strange and awkward attitude even in real life, and you can't really change your whole being while acting. I have seen people complain about him tilting his head too much (so mean!). Those are all attitudes you can't really get rid of, but he did. I haven't seen him moving his head too much in this series. So about Style, the character: he is crazy and strange. But if you understand that and accept it, the acting is honestly flawless. I especially loved when he found out that Fadel is a hitman, his reaction was on point and funny at the same time. The love scenes between those two are also very good, one of the best I have ever seen, and the sad scene some people are complaining about, when Style got serious about his mother: it made me cry. Since I know the character and how strange he is, it was obvious he was serious. Honestly, if you look closer, there is a lot of expression in his face. If not for all those rumors and people badmouthing him, I would have never thought of him as a weak actor. There is honestly not a single scene where I felt, he did a bad job. The embarrassing scenes at the beginning were meant to be embarrassing. I myself wondered if this series will be a success because JoongDunk will drag down FristKhao. Shame on me! FirstKhao are honestly not my favorite in this. I still don't enjoy watching Kant, and Bison has too many mood swings. I only watch it for FadelStyle. Talking about JoongDunk in real life: they are one of a kind! Joong behaving like a love struck puppy, and Dunk don't giving a f*ck! It's so hilarious and fun to watch. Those two will make it big, and I can't wait for their next series Dare You To Death. Again, I feel bad for believing those rumors and not giving them a chance much earlier.
I wasn't excited about this before but after The Heart Killers JoongDunk has changed my opinion about them and…
I honestly feel bad, because occasionally, I dropped a comment about them being overrated and only popular because of their looks. But in The Heart Killers, their performance is perfect.
While watching this, I constantly think: "How far will you go for that damn money?" I will never understand why people are so crazy for money, or so deeply in debt. That doesn't happen overnight.
It's a bit early to call it...but it's beginning to look a lot like "The Trainee". The entire episode is about…
Then watch another show, and I don't mean that in a bad/aggressive way. They clearly focus more on the group issue, every group member, their friendship, their problems, the hardships they go through, their uncertain future etc. There is not enough romance, that's true. But I'm here for the emotional writing. It's a very good series. I'm impressed.
Is this like Sweet Home? Incredible 1st season, boring 2nd season dragged out that made no sense, and then a 3rd season where they try to tie everything together, so at the end you're just glad the mess is finally over?
Is this good? I mean, is the storytelling good? The acting? I don't care about cuteness, fluff, or the couples/actors. The plot doesn't sound very exciting. I won't enjoy it, if it's not done well.
I am so sorry but what you are doing is very toxic and will just bring alot of misunderstanding
Honestly, there is almost no actor in Hollywood that isn't shady or some kind of pervert, satanist or child molester. Compared to that, those boys are rather innocent. Especially the ones who are "homophobic" don't deserve to go to hell.
RIP Kant, you will be missed. I know i will have such a hard time reviewing this series. Some of the production…
"So sometimes the writing is very smart and sometimes it´s so on the nose i can´t believe i am watching the same show. " That's the case with almost every GMMTV series. There is no consistency.
This is a good series. It has an interesting plot, the acting is decent, the production too. I had no hope after watching the first episodes. I thought this is some raunchy soulless stuff that will keep the people entertained who just need some smexy scenes to fall in love with a show. But nope. I'm pretty sure I will watch this to the end, and I tend to drop many BL series.
I don't like either pair,for joongdunk it's dunk's bad acting.But for the other couple even I don't know why I…
Honestly, I watch this because the plot is quite interesting, and JoongDunk are pretty intense, exciting and funny. Didn't expect much from this pair, but they are saving this series for me. There aren't many BLs out there with an interesting plot, so this is worth watching. I mean, I didn't like it from the 1st episode, I still don't like it very much, but I'm coming back, because it's well done, and I want to know what happens next. I can't say that about many BLs.
