Is nobody talking about the KimKenta kiss? It wasn't the one we got in the preview. The one that everyone was so excited to see. THAT kiss was great. We saw Kim looking at Kenta's lips with those sparkling eyes full of desire, Kenta tenderly touching Kim's neck and then kissing him like he wanted to do it for a long time and was finally giving in. Well, what did we get in the series? They clearly used different angles, different kissing scenes, and just put them clumsily together. It looked like Kim was taller, which he isn't, next shot obviously Kenta was taller. When their lips finally touched, they showed the kiss from the side (wtf). And when they stopped, the angle was so strange with Kim's head tilted, it didn't fit the scene at all. His head wasn't that tilted before. The kiss was underwhelming with this kind of editing. I didn't feel the passion, to be honest, and the music made me feel like it's a thriller scene or something. They couldn't even do THAT right.

I start to hate KentaKim too. It's almost like I'm directing my anger towards them, since we got nothing. Put all their scenes together, the result will be 15 minutes long. It's ridiculous. I always avoid those low budget indie BL series with only 4 episodes, each 8 minutes long or so. Suddenly, this amount of screen time sounds pretty good.
Sorry, but I have to get something off my chest. Those producers/writers are damn lazy and have never seen a real lab and know nothing about science. From those silly helmets with LED lights to those test tubes with colorful liquids (yellow, blue, pink) to the big screen data projection. I know it's supposed to be futuristic, but it's silly. I just watched Chris writing something on his iPad while looking at that big screen where you see some colorful brains rotating. What is he writing? Whatever data he collects, it will be sent to his computer where he can do a statistical analysis, which nobody does on an iPad. There is no need for a projection on the wall, and sure there is no need to look at that wall and then take handwritten notes. If I had to work in such a lab, I can guarantee you, I would never look at that big screen. What am I supposed to do with the shiny data? Get inspired by the colors? There are some grown ass adults involved in this series, but they do zero research. They don't care. They don't even think about it logically. It just has to look cool.
I think the writers wouldn't even know what to do with them if they had more screen time. I hope there is no season 3. They will ruin their relationship for sure.

People here are very critical and mostly polite. There is not much hate on this site, mostly frustrations if people are disappointed in a series. It can get too negative sometimes, that's true, but in general this is not a site where people are just hating for the sake of hating. You want to disprove my point by linking Reddit posts? What ...? I know the swamp, the (gay) porn wattpad/fanfiction swamp so well, because I was part of it many years ago. I crawled my way out of it, not as a reader, but as a writer. I have a passion for gay romance/BL still to this day. I know those stories, and how badly they are written. I know those "fans" and how crazy horny they are. I wrote my fair share of gay porn too in my life, that was the moment people recognized my "writing talent" - when I was writing gay porn. Makes me shake my head to this day. There is nothing wrong with having a guilty pleasure, but let's not pretend a trashy series is a masterpiece. Or well, let's pretend, why not? It doesn't matter. How you see from my 1st post, I wish those actors all the best and hope for a better series. If such a trashy series is needed to make those boys popular, then so be it. I'm not judging. And don't come at me, I know the swamp better than anyone. This series is based on a crappy wattpad porn story how so many others. Those stories are popular, because they make the readers horny, so the companies know there is a big fanbase. That's their way to minimize the risk of a series not doing well since they are always short on money. Those series are low budget. Old story. I'm here because I love BenzGarfield. Only reason.
