I have updated the spoiler timeline for the final episode. This has been an absolute pleasure to make over the last 2 months. I'll be adding more things here and there when I have time. If anyone has any questions about anything feel free to ask in a comment in the discussion or a DM.
Happy watching to new viewers and happy rewatching to the rest of us, this discussion is everything that happens in every timeline with episode markers for easy re-watch. Do not open this discussion if you do not like spoilers as nothing is blocked or covered.
Just to circle back to a point made in the last episode regarding the bad guy. Some people are just evil and there is no use dwelling on someone like that and making them more than what they are. For people asking why he was after the two leads...Pretty much every time he went after them was because they were potential or actual witnesses to his crimes. The last episode, well Sun Jae was in the middle of the street during a police chase and the man enjoys murdering people...so...avoiding the guy didn't seem like the top priority.
Honestly, looking back on the show I realized in the final episode that not once were we interrupted by a food or coffee sponsorship. No Kopiko random break in the middle of a high tension scene to wake up a character in 3 seconds or less. We got cinematography, and lighting, and OSTs that will go down in history. We got foreshadowing and set design that played into their personal colors and traditional Korean wedding motifs. We got nostalgia in the best way, and a show we can revisit over and over again knowing that everything will be okay. We get the lessons that the villain in your story doesn't actual matter...what matters is that you live, and that memories may fade from the mind, but they are forever etched on you soul. Thank you Lovely Runner Team for such a beautiful gift of a show.
i just want to watch this and have time to sleep for like 2 hours before i need to be up for work...can the servers please function for us pretty pretty please. I refuse to go have an 8 hour shift without having finished this show on no sleep
Iām curious to know what other shows are on your rewatch rotation list! Iām completely obsessed with Lovely…
First thank you so much for enjoying the timeline breakdown. It means a lot that people are actively using it to further enjoy the show.
My rewatch rotation varies from time to time but mainly has to do with OST as I will play them in the BG while I work. Goblin(K)(Cinematography alone is worth the 20 hour rewatch) Hidden Love(C)(chemistry, subtle acting choices, and Lusi putting her all into directing her co-star...perfectly fluffy) Love Lasts Forever(J)(one of my favorite Japanese actors...the hand on the hip just does it for me) Coffee Prince(K)(One of the first kdramas I ever watched and one of the only ones to have a convincing girl dressed as a boy tropes. A must watch for newer Kdrama watchers) Moon Embracing the Sun(This one holds a special place in my heart, FL's acting could be much better, but it had such a good story and Lyn put her whole body into that OST. The child cast are now some of the top actors in the industry. A must watch just to see how the cast have grown not only physically, but in their work. Still waiting for the day the younger cast get together and do a skit of their older versions...as they are now the age of the adult characters they play.) Almost forgot: Spring Waltz(K) I have this one one dvd as no streaming site currently has it...seriously one of the best OSTs that will send me right back to 20 years old me when I first watched it)
So from a composition stand point it isn't bad, but the over blown lighting mixed with the clothing of the same color...you loose the subject/focus of the shot. they need to burn the bg/sky a bit more to deepen the contrast between the shirt and sky. Too much of the same tone washes out what could have been an excellent photo. But how it stands it's not saying anything but I don't know how to set my aperture and shutter speed correctly. They have extremely bright lights behind them, but it just sort of blends altogether.
The reason why this one will stay in my rewatch rotation is because it never stays in a dark place for very long. Yes there are extremely dark moments throughout the show, but the lead characters shine so much brighter than any darkness they face throughout the show. I've had more kicking my feet while I giggle moments than out right ugly sobs(looking at you QoT). My anxiety has remained at a low ever since we get a true sense of the lead characters and the fact they would do anything for the other if it meant they were safe. And Loser Sun Jae is an Icon and Sol has never been a more perfect name for a character...she really is the sun. (Yes I know Sol doesn't mean sun in Korean...work with me)
I keep a bullet journal of all the shows and movies I watch. Lovely Runner by far, outshines the other releases of 2024 on my watch list from all countries and genres.

Eclipse is a 3 member group. Baek In Hyuk is Sun Jae's ride or die for life. Kim Tae Sung, best boy. šøšøš®šø
