Mommy Dearest is actually kind of adorable when she unclenches her grip on her children's lives and openly listens to them. Her little breathing technique to not jump her daughter for answers in episode 31 showed some real growth.
I feel like this show keeps advocating for toxic parents being allowed to stay in their adult child's life. Just a reminder....people don't always change for the better just because you believe they can. Set good boundaries with people who treat you poorly. Just because Huan's dad regrets not being their for his father does NOT mean ZhiMing needs to reconcile with HIS father.
My brain is telling me that he is not from the future and I really hope so. I mean he kissed her when she was…
I don't think he's a traveler. I realize that every recent time travel/time slip show has two travelers, but as of episode 6 he isn't. He would have remembered her accident and been encouraging her to stay home and not leave the house. He would have been fully aware of the kidnapping and wouldn't have let her out of his sight.
Some questions and speculation about next time jump forward and jump back
With it now being confirmed that it isn't a loop, but events are changing I have to wonder what the next 2 jumps are going to be like for Im Sol.
With her never being at her lowest low after her accident will she still become a devoted fan of Ryu Sun Jae? Will future Im Sol stay present long enough to get herself completely out of danger?
Will her parting words to Tae Sung change his future as well? Does he stay with Eclipse?
Definitely looks like Im Sol's going to be an Auntie...😱🥵🤰🏻
It looks like she is either going to jump to 2023 and Sun Jae is no longer wanting to retire so his accident never happened or the next time she jumps back it will be closer to present day. The next quarter of episodes are going to be rough.
im srsly bothered by how clueless and dumb Im Sol acts in some situations, i understand the emotional part but…
Going through a major trauma as a teenager can stunt mental growth. But like kessa_81 said, she doesn't have much romantic experience. She even made a joke about it in one of the episodes. Also as a 34 year old woman, who experienced a medical trauma at the same age as the character that ended a relationship, I can attest to romantic advances STILL going over my head at times. She is extremely out of practice when it comes to certain interactions with the opposite sex.
is that only me but why the name of this drama is lovely RUNNER? sunjae s good at running thats why?
They both run like crazy toward one another. They are also trying to carry the other's burdens. The Korean Title is more like her screen name Piggyback/Carry Sun Jae and Run.
I think that "She doesn't remember" might be referring to the time capsule and how she asked him to meet on the…
A part of me doesn't think there IS a different timeline. That's one of my theories.(I have a few) One theory is that the timetravel is actually a loop. The fire that burns her mother only needs to take place before July 22, 2009. If Im Sol has memory loss around that time she might not actually remember when her mother was hurt. aka blending two memories to create a new morphed memory. I think she might have always traveled in time. I think Sun Jae will figure it out in some way & wait for her to remember him. I don't know how to reconcile his death into things yet. aka can she ACTUALLY change the past.
another theory is that it didn't START as a loop, but once she went back there are certain events that she can't change. she can make a few minor adjustments but certain pieces on the board can't move. Like in chess. Pieces can only move in the direction they are meant to. Only the Queen can move in any direction she wants. She is the Queen.
The photograph could have been in his wallet the entire time & removed after answering the door to whomever rang the bell. Her journals from that time would have been put away & not looked at. Because she was in heavy grief from the life she had prior to being hurt.
These are all just possibilities, but I'm looking forward to what the writers make the truth.
I wish we would have seen her mother's hand again when she came back to 2023...it would clear up the loop or no loop theories.
I have no idea how long this comment is, as I'm not on my laptop, so sorry about the formatting/length.
I'm sure we're going to get many kissing scenes in future episodes but myyy god they are making us giggle and…
there is a very small tiny part of me that's like "don't you kiss that 18 year old kid!" the other much larger part of me is like "he grown grown, do it for the girlies!"
Looking back on the Sun Jae POV bridge scene.in spoiler tag below
I think that "She doesn't remember" might be referring to the time capsule and how she asked him to meet on the bridge at midnight. EDIT. I read this again and realized that it didn't copy the second sentence that I had typed. Maybe that's why he stopped on the bridge in the first place.
Why is our girl so clueless because Sun Jae always has hearts in his eyes whenever he looks at her?!
He's actually been pretty good about hiding his feelings from her for the most part. It never occurs to her that he would like her. She is so set on making sure he stays alive that she doesn't even think about herself or her own feelings. The love of a true fan like Im Sol is from a distance. There is a sort of mental "I just want them to be happy and healthy" barrier. Even more so as a 34 year old talking to a 18 year old version of the idol you love. There's a part of my brain that sometimes forgets that, to Im Sol, she's 34 and Sun Jae is 18.
Starting part one two days ago...well more like a day and a half ago and am starting part 2 now. It sucks you in so quick I didn't even realize that I'd finish 8 or 9 episodes at a time. A family member was like, hey so...you plan on eating today? Why did I wait so long to watch this?
