I'm so glad that so many people who were waiting to see about this drama have found edits that got them interested enough to start watching it as it airs. I love being able to talk with others watching the show to speculate about possible story points and to also get insights into cultural references that might go over a foreign viewers head. I hope the comment section can remain a positive place for viewers. As we get closer to the midway point there are bound to be more varied opinions from viewers, but I hope that we can all remain respectful of one another.
Okay so we are at episode 20's release and I can't get over the fact that everyone is growing and learning BUT MCH's mother. She just is so stuck in her ways. Always bragging about things that aren't hers to begin with. She inserts herself into business that she knows nothing about time and time again. Most of that business is directly related to her daughter's actual professional job. If MCH didn't have the wherewithal to power through her setbacks her mother would have ruined her life 10 times over by now. She doesn't know when to quit and then gets offended when she's called on her bullshit like a temperature throwing child who doesn't get the other person's toy they liked. I need YZM to put that woman in her place like yesterday. I really wanted both of her children to leave her ass and her husband to stop catering to her and see how she likes being alone in the world. But I know that's not ever going to happen. She's just so stupid and money hungry, yet she doesn't even work. She was a house wife and her kids have been grown for years. Not to mention one of those kids didn't even live with her for a solid chunk of his life. So why does she think so highly of herself? She's so stuck up and she does nothing but meddle in other people's livelihoods. She's a parasite and a leech on her children. She could have been helpful with the menu at the hotel, but she caused a fuss and offended the people that work their. She could have been humble, but nope. I rarely wish the death of a character just because they are annoying. But I think everyone's life would be going better if something were to just take her out of the picture.
So I think I found the next drama for Stephanie Soo to recap on her MissMangoButt chanel. I need her to watch this cause I can already see her kicking her feet and punching the air.
I am adoring him. But I know he's a mischievous little shit. You can't help but like him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be hit upside the head every now and then for his dumb decisions.

I used a secret mathematical code with my friend in a notebook that we would pass back and forth in class. The only way to decode it was the correct numbers in an equation. Do I know what those number are? no. Do I even remember the equation we used for this code? Absolutely not. Did I ace my math class that year? You bet your ass I did. I found the notebook and was just like "what the fuck Madeline, WHY?" then I remembered I've always been neurodivergent as hell. This wasn't the only secret code I made. There was a personal one that an entire journal is written in. I have no idea what I wrote, nor how to decode it.

Oh I'll be rewatching the crap out of these episodes because I enjoy the show so much and trying to pin point timelines. So it WILL be seen in full...I'm just going to be squeezing my pillow really tightly so I don't break anything.
The production's Uno reverse card in the 11th hour because the LEAD actor Choi Jin Hyuk had made a prior engagement(fan event in another country) with the original end filming date in mind. But because the show was so popular with viewers(BECAUSE OF HIM) the show got an extension to add more episodes. You can almost tell the moment they knew he wasn't going to cancel his prior engagements for them. If it's not in the contract he was allowed to make other plans post show wrapping. They made a psychotic villain into a simp puppy man...gave me whiplash when I watched it. I was watching this as it was airing which is why I remember all the drama surrounding it. If I remember correctly the original episode count was either 30 or 36 episodes 40 at most. So when I tell you they pivoted the plot hard in the back half they pivoted HARD. Choi Jin Hyuk's character and the Empress were supposed to have a romance. Cause he was the actual lead of the show. It's why we follow HIS character the most in the first part of the story.
lol well your profile pic lol I don't know how we survived to all those beautiful men in MJTY, but I never get…
I think having second lead syndrome only happens for me in the writing and acting are good. Also the character has to be a good person....looking at you 'The Last Empress' LOOKING AT YOU!(as how to mess up a second lead that then became the main lead) They literally did an Uno reverse card on the cast when they got picked up for more episodes and the LEAD actor couldn't/wouldn't cancel a fan event in another country to accommodate the production's last minute filming schedule. They even went back and change the character/cast order to make the second lead (who was a villain) the main lead. I'm sorry this conversation apparently triggered something inside of me that needed to be released. my bad.
I am fully prepared for this drama to give us a typically happy ending where she saves his life in the future,…
Spoilers for Twinkling Watermelon, Marry My Husband, and The Story of Park Marriage Contract below...using their stories to make a point of possible endings.
I'm wondering the same. I don't know if we're going to have a 'Twinkling Watermelon' situation where she's still paralyzed but everyone has a much better living situation than when the timeslip started. Or if we're going to have a 'Marry My Husband' situation where someone else takes on the tragedies and she relives her twenties again. Also could throw in a secondary traveler like in both of these shows mentioned. I just hope it's not the same as The Story of Park Marriage Contract, because I felt they kind of fumbled at the very end. 'Marry My Husband' had a more satisfying ending because they took the time on the Epilogue for the main couple. The other two were a bit rushed at the end imo as the didn't spend much time post climax of the the story.
I really like him too. My nickname for him at the moment is 'Adorable Little Shit'. He's giving major Aquarius energy with those smirks you want to slap off his adorably hansom face. π
Ok Girl! if my embarrassing video played like that I am never coming out of my room ever again ππ Oh dear…
I have never hit the skip button so fast in my life. I was turtling into myself from the cringe so hard I made like Somi and fast-forwarded that real quick.
Ok someone explain me, First timeline and second timeline got intertwined at some point like SunJae fell for Sol…
I'm honestly not 100% sure if we are seeing a new POV from him or if it was always his POV in 2022 in all of the flashbacks in the front end of episode 4. It's a bit open for interpretation at this point.

I always have to put a location or association in the saved name so I remember how I like a person. I have 5 or 6 Ashley's all different spellings 7 different Ben's & ridiculous amount of Lauren's and variations of Catherines/kate/katie/Catlin etc. π«

yeah, so i think she probably forgot people associated with that night. I don't think he took his life. They really lingered on that doorbell. But I do think that it majorly affected his mental health. I feel like he was supposed to be with her that night but was late & she was taken by Taxi man & when she got free & running away she was run down & he was too late to save her from the impact, but was able to prevent her from drowning.

I'm 34. I just looked back on an old journal recently when I was cleaning. I had a moment like hers when I saw a name written down of a boy I had "dated" in high school...I had completely forgotten about him. Made me feel old. I think because Sun Jae was there the day she had her accident her brain might have wiped anyone associated with that night that wasn't family. We don't even know if she remembered her mother when she first woke.

I'm going to rewatch this week's episodes again after work & look at the keychain with my detail. Has truly changed was the fire. she could have always had the photos. Though the photo appears on the coffee table I'm not sure if it's a case of past changing or if it wasn't out & a scene happened & he had taken it out before the fall. She's always going to be an unreliable narrator because of the accident. With memory loss any number of things could be wrong or out of order in her mind. As far as Im Sol knows the accident happens on September 1st 2008. She remembers seeing Sun Jae in different clothes running toward her & pulling her out of the water. but she no knows he was present for part of that night.
