I got like 4 comments in and I've decided to hold off on episode 14 until next week. I think I need to end this with a band-aid rip baby-binge, cause nope nope nope. I'm going to put a pin in this for like 6-7 days for my own mental health.
I was like awww that's so cute. honestly I don't think the mother would be as bad if she focused on other things than just her daughter's business. MingMing(too cute) and her actual son just need some motherly affection. Feed them, love them & give them space.
Some people here are also justifying the mom’s actions as caring. But I disagree. Just like how kids are always…
If she actually cared about her daughter she would have been concerned about the reason WHY she couldn't buy them an apartment at that time. Instead she threw a hissy fit like a four year old who was told no. Her Brother knew immediately that something must be wrong & GOES TO SEE HOW HE CAN HELP. Greenflag lil bro for the win. Though he is on my naughty list for not reading the room in the beginning of episode 24. 🙂↕️🤡
Episode 24. How sad can a man be when his "special date" is disrupted by his proposed in-laws If looks can kill,…
Ignorance. The little brother is so in his own world with his love life he just couldn't see what was right in front of his face. I really hope she pays him back for this later.
I need the staff member that keeps complaining about how MCH runs HER hotel to sit down & zip it. Does he not realize that he is the problem? Cool, you don't want to do your job, quit & be on your way. If anyone else had taken over the Hotel all the staff would have been fired & replaced in a heartbeat. That kid is so dense I swear. Constantly complaining & making digs at the person not only paying his checks, but literally giving him a roof over his head. You are replaceable kid, remember that.
My mom and I are watching this drama. She's only on episode 6 but I'm caught up. I had to go and tell her thank you out of the blue, because watching this show made me realize how great I have it with my family.
It looks like they are giving our little grim reaper idol the right styling.
Sang Yan doesn't wear color until Wen Yi Fan brings it back into his life. Come on wardrobe department, don't fail me now. I believe in you!
I can't wait to see the cinematography style they are going to use for this show as well. I'm a bit of a production nerd when it comes to dramas. The acting is always a must, but what separates a good drama from a GREAT drama is when all the departments work together to elevate the overall project. I'm trying to not get my hopes too too high...but they keep raising when I see the on set stills and promo photos. They already nailed the vibe of the couple in the new poster. I'm just so excited for this one!
I honestly don't really remember Edward's character name in the novel. Miaoyi's character is the little sister…
I was editing my post while you were commenting. 🤣🥹 The last time I had looked at the page she was listed as the little sister, and hadn't updated it in a long time so I had just looked over the name. Do you happen to remember Su Hao An from the novel, because I don't. It's been a while since I've read it, and the translation might have slightly changed the spelling of the name, but I can't recall him at all. Unless this is the old classmate of theirs that owns the bar with Sang Yan....?
Bai jingting is truly so versatile. His acting in Always on the move was so impressive... Like how is he going…
I a actually watched 'New Life Beings' specifically because he was cast in 'First Frost' and I wanted to see his acting. My mom recommended it to me. I'm so relieved after watching it that Sang Yan is in good hands with him.
can someone tell me the relationship between miaoyi's and edward's character??
I honestly don't really remember Edward's character name in the novel. Miaoyi's character is the little sister of the ML in this. She is Lusi's character from Hidden Love. EDIT!!!!! just realized they changed HER character name as well. I thought she was playing the little sister, but I was wrong.
I’m surprised the mother is so obsessed with the daughter and not the SON as much! Usually in asian culture,…
Trigger warning: child death
There was a severe lack of female children of this generation. This means that they have a sort of currency that a male child doesn't. They can marry up and also have a larger selection to choose from. There was a time, not so long ago, that China upheld a one child policy...this lead to female infanticide on a mass scale. Thousands of families only wanting sons means there is no one to marry. It's why they mention that she's born in the 90s. A lot of families put their daughters up for adoption or did not continue a pregnancy because of the gender, some daughters "mysteriously" died in infancy. The one child policy wasn't really just one child, depending on your social status/income you could pay a fee to have another child, or wait I believe like 10 years(someone correct me if I'm wrong about this). This might be why we see that their son was sent away to live with someone else when he was young.
if your list is up to date then having watched only 6 Chinese dramas....that are all romance and couple centered you haven't actually watched any family life dramas from China yet. This is normal for a show like this. if anything there is even more romance than normal.
Looks like it. They added the SML, and her disability to the show. They also the timeslip is farther back than in the novel. I think it was like 3 to 7 years instead of 13.
I saw on here you guys have murder suspect. Well it seems for me kinda unlikely that Seon Jae would kill him self…
Okay so just remember you asked. Sorry in advance for the long comment. He fell from a multistoried hotel room into the pool. He was in the penthouse so at least 5 to 10 floors high minimum. From that height it doesn't matter if it's water, it's going to feel like concreate when you make impact. So he most likely suffered from extreme internal injuries. If he wasn't dead on impact he would have been unconscious and unable to prevent water from entering his lungs. I think that whomever killed him didn't necessarily go there with the intent to kill him. He might have gone back outside to get some air or the argument might have gotten physical and he fell over. But with how high the balcony wall is it would need to be a violent fight or intentional in some way. Some people are speculating that the taxi driver is somehow involved, but I think it's the CEO. The tears were too fake. The actor is better at acting than that, so I have to think that the off-ness was intentional on his part. So far I think there are only really 3 suspects with what we've seen/who we've met maybe 4 but I'll explain why I don't think so.
Baek In Hyuk: Possible, had motive for going to hotel room to speak to Sun Jae could have had a physical fight that escalated. Though I do think that they spoke more after the concert I don't think In Hyuk would be able to not break down and confess if he had something to do with it. But I also would never think that they would be as distant as they were during the concert either so...🤷🏻♀️
CEO: Most motive to speak with Sun Jae a few hours before midnight. Most likely to have losses if Sun Jae were to just retire...contracts needing to be paid back etc. If Sun Jae were to die he would not necessarily need to payback those contracts. Could continue to make money from rereleasing albums or other "in memoriam" merchandise/content.
Taxi Driver: Guy is extremely sus in 2008, but there is no more info on this to assess why he would wait 13 years to go after Sun Jae. But if there is a plot where the taxi driver did something that got him thrown in prison this is a possibility. South Korea's prison/justice system is a joke with how short their sentences are for criminals. So if Sun Jae was a witness to something it's possible that payback would take time.
Tae Sung: Least likely. We don't know anything about Tae Sung in "present day" the little airhead friend might have heard gossip, but doesn't know what actually happened to him after Im Sol's accident. There is more speculation that Tae Sung is actually dead and has been since 2008. But just humor ideas. If Tae Sung for some reason thought that Ryu Sun Jae stole his life(famous musician) in some way revenge etc. I just don't get that vibe from him.
Unknown Person: We are only 4 episodes in. Sometimes characters aren't introduced until much later that have larger roles in the overall plot.
It’s so funny because of how short she is they cannot be in the same frame or one of them’s body or face is…
Boxes on boxes on boxes. 📦📦📦
He's probably having to spread his legs for a few shots too. The bts are hilarious with all the different techniques they have to use to get them in the same frame. When blocking the scenes it gets pretty funny watching them work it out with the director.
The more you scroll down the page the more spoilers you will see. There are thesis level speculation comments. I made a timeline in the discussion section if you're using a browser instead of the app that you can check out to see some spoilers there as well.
Another cute unreleased scene!! The one where he finds her sleeping in his room and notices her wound and tries…
I'm hoping that all the video editors who do the edits are going to pull from these extra clips as well. They are getting so many good clips to use already with the show.
