ML’s face saved the first 10 episodes 😁 but now the story is getting more interesting. His mother is the…
I can only think of MiLs or step-mothers in the cdrama's I've watched lately that were this level. I wonder if this is what the women of 'My Journey to You' would have been like if they didn't actually fall for their targets. Other than The First Frost I can't think of any protagonists' mother being down right evil/abusive person in a cdrama. The Glory, Reborn, Our Generation, and Love's Ambition all dealt with difficult mother's who thought they knew what was best for their child(The Glory, Reborn) but Our Generation and Love's Ambition had a bit more abuse/neglect both emotional/physical.
Sooo looking forward for the next episodes... 💕💕Now, who's the man in black..The wheelchair guy gives me…
I'm wondering if it's someone we've already met, like the wheelchair-doctor-uncle. Or if Mu's uncle is still alive, but I would be so sad if his father's twin killed his father and also poisoned him. There is even a chance it's Zhao's own master. I don't really trust any of the men in the righteous sects at the moment. I could see her master wanting to kill the Mu family after her aunt fell in love with ML's uncle(twin brother of his father).
Literally the only issue with this show is some editing mistakes. I can over look the mistakes for the most part, but I can understand if others have a harder time overlooking it. I had a really hard time with Speed and Love's editing problems. It progressively got worse as the production went on. I'm hoping that the back half of this show has less issues. So it's not going to be a 10/10 for me because I actually have this aspect of a show listed as a rating point, but the other aspects are keeping the score high.
Generation to Generation the Mu men of the Li sect are obsessed with the women of Cai Zhao's family. Obsessive, possessive devotion to the women in her family line to the point of absolute devastation. Every generation a new pair of star-crossed lovers fall and meet a tragic end. Because of their sects' misconceptions and deep-seated hatred for one another the lovers are always pulled apart or destroyed from within. The women are labeled witches and demonesses all because they saw the humanity in the Li sect and tried to stop the slaughter of both the demon and righteous sects.
I'm looking forward to diving deeper into her Aunt and his Uncle's past and how they ended up enemies once more. Also, there seems to always be a fellow member of the woman's sect who "loves" her and ruins everything, by not minding their business. An endless cycle that is at the end of the line, because he is the last Mu(that I'm aware of).
I just think it's kind of convenient that Qian Xue Shen body was destroyed seconds after death. The character that can alter other's appearance, to the point you can't tell it's not the original person without killing them and the original appearance returning. He looked like he recognized the man at the inn(the one who swooped in and grabbed the boss lady). So he's on my "to be determined" dead list as of now. They also gave attention to a little toy sword. So I hope we circle back to that later for something.
Qian xueshen died like that? That was a waste of character.I'm really enjoying MQY.the mystery and MQY are keeping…
Are we sure he's dead though. The man could have changed someone to look like him. It looked like he recognized a man in the inn before Mu Qing Yan showed up.
kinda sad the face shifting dude died just like that....? fairly anti-climatic....
Go back and watch the scene in the inn again before Mu Qing Yan shows up. I think there is more than meets the eye with his death. Wouldn't be surprised if he was switched out. The abandoned house also seemed to be a clue with the toy sword. idk 🤷🏻♀️ but someone who can easily change another's appearance doesn't seem like someone who would just disappear. It looked like he recognized the man who worked for the boss lady at the inn.
I have to start watching it. Will there be a love triangle?
well she's betrothed to someone other than the ML. She also seems to have collected another admirer, but he could just appreciate her in a platonic way, too early to tell. I dont know the source material so i went in blind.
So far so good. only up to ep7, but the direction & production quality are nice. The performances are good. I still interested to see where everything goes.
alright about to start to see if the story is something im interested in. Definitely love the leads' other work so I dont have any fears about performance or chemistry, just if imma vibe with the world/story always a hit or miss on this genre.
it honestly felt like i was watching an ad for 12 episodes. I get characters need to have an occupation but im getting really tired of being sold things when I watch modern kdramas.
Spoilers please.1. What episode do they get together?2. Any breakups. How much episode?3 Any love triangle?4.…
1. they hook up in episode 1 get together in 7(i think) 2. not that I remember. just misunderstandings. 3. Sort of. She has a male friend that she's known since middle school that she had a crush on. Her other best friend likes him. He doesn't realize he might like FL until after she's pregnant with another man's baby. 4. Yes. very typical everyone is forgiven for their wicked behavior. 5. Not really imo. ML can't touch people's hands because of a trauma, so the romance is a bit silly/stilted because of it imo. 6. I guess episode 1 is the most skinship that happens in the whole show. after that its a bit...juvenile. I like the people in the show, it was just a little too silly for my personal taste. & as they were all adults working at an alcohol company the comedy was a bit ott. I think this is like the 3rd beer focused show to come out in the last 2 years.

She's taking care of him through others in episode 31. A month has past and he still isn't doing great after working tirelessly to get her freed from lockdown and then discarded. He kind of loses the will to live in a way. So think of it like a cold with a deep depression happening at the same time. He was heartbroken and couldn't really eat, then the sickness took hold making him more ill than he would have been. So it takes him over a month to get back to work. Gu is bringing him expensive meds that Li Pei Yi has supplied, she sets up warmers along the path Huai Jin takes through the palace, she replaces the compass she had broken and returned to him, again through Gu. While working on the case "The Misaligned Seven Stars" they come across the murder of a man the have in custody's entire family...the only survivor, his young son who witnessed the whole thing. (sound familiar?) While looking after the boy Pei Yi finds him with a knife stabbing a straw dummy swearing revenge on the man that killed his mother and grandparents. Seeing the bloodthirsty innocent child finally makes her see herself from the view of someone who loves her and wants the best for her. She talks the boy down and explains that his mother and grandparents wouldn't want him to spend his life in hatred and wouldn't want him to become a murderer etc....this conversation is overheard by Huai Jin. This I believe happens in episode 32. ep33 Pei Yi figures out that her father's subordinate is working with someone powerful so he can get revenge on everyone involved in Prince Duan's case. Including killing innocent family members of the guilty. She can't go along with his methods nor can she stop him for fear that she wouldn't be able to see the next strike. She also knows that someone is using her "uncle" and their true target is Consort Shu, the woman who raised her and protected her. The puppet master needs the Cui family to fall, and that means getting Consort Shu killed or out of favor with the Emperor. She becomes a double agent, leaving all the others in the dark about her findings and plan. They continue to investigate, but Huai Jin is too smart and figures out her slight of hand. Thinking she's gone to the darkside he tries one more time to stop her before it's too late, but she dismisses him and ties him up.....with a small blade right next to his tied hands out of sight of her "uncle". He realizes she needs him to act as the final nudge to get the now paranoid Minister Cui to go "rescue" his sister from the smear campaign and murder plot against her in the palace. After Pei Yi arrests Minister Cui, they(Huai Jin and Pei Yi) reach out for each other, finally able to turn the page on their decades long shared trauma. Because they trusted each other to be the person they had gotten to know. Huai Jin: She has to have a reason for this. What is her goal in lying? How can I help her with her plan? Pei Yi: He knows me better than I know myself, he'll understand what I'm doing even if I can't tell him, he'll help.
I think a lot of people overlook what medical trauma can do to a person's personality when said trauma happens during a transitional time in life stages. Right when you are supposed to be your most independent and test your limits something happens and you are back to relying on your parents. Your friends leave you behind because they have parties to go to or get in relationships or they just can't handle your new limitations. So you throw yourself into a hobby that doesn't need others, that keeps you engaged in life and brings you joy. But the people who were once your peers are starting their own families and getting corporate jobs, that you can't even think about doing because of the delay in your start. You can't afford to move out on your own because you are medically dependent on others. etc. Add on top of that she's a millennial....yall be so for real right now.

Still going to keep it vague. So good luck understanding this. She realizes why he did the things he did and he overhears her working through the logic. He traces parts of a case back to her and she trusts him to figure it out and he does trust her when the times comes. Don't really remember any "i'm sorry"s more like I knew you'd understand me.
Pretty much she does a lot of things that he is able to pick up on(taking care of him from the shadows, and back to her old secret plot ways). She finally truly understands why he stopped her and they save the person she wanted to save while they get to actually punish the person who deserves it. Lets just say she will never be boring, but they are going to have a hard time surprising each other in the future.

I made this timeline while watching if you ever get confused or don't understand a reference.
