as these are stills i'm going to wait until i see what actually shows up on screen. cause what in the filter is happening in these photos....where is his melanin? the man is tan as hell.

they normally over edit the promotional stills. he's always had that eye shape, but they sure did take away his melanin. But he could have gotten something as it's pretty common.
They also have similar eye-brow shapes which on adds to the resemblance.

Idk. 🥺I've only ever seen playful debate about shows on this site before. They are treating this like a kpop war, and I'm too old for that type of behavior. Shows are so subjective and I always find it interesting to see how others perceived something. There can be object points about the quality of a drama, but most of the time it's just an opinion.
I love the making of shows and movies as it's been my thing since I was 8(1998) and on my first computer and Ask Jeeves and Yahoo were more popular search engines. So when I critique something it's with 33 years of life experience and 25 years of more in depth consumption of content.
I'm just treating them as trolls and bots. Ignore & block.

I will say that the modern hanbok styles in both dramas are really hitting though.

I have to be careful every time I comment about the show in the shows comment section. Even now I'm worried.
Unlike other shows, where constructive criticism or concerns because of being previously burned by dramas are greeted with an 'Oh I hope is doesn't do that' or give an actual opinion, that comment section will jump on you and say things like "well just don't watch then" and resort to name calling like we're on twitter...for the first time in the 4 or 5 years I've used this site I had to block people.

not me going through his instagram to get a better idea of the shooting schedule timeline....only to realize that unless it's an event photo it could have been taken at any time. Aka i just wasted 10mins. (would insert laughing and face-palm emoji if I wasn't on my laptop)

Not the lighting. The texture/styling(because of length) will also vary slightly. You can see that his hair has darker roots when it's reading more reddish and a little longer near his neck.
I think they filmed from April to October/November, so hair changes are bound to happen. And if they filmed a chunk of scenes from different episodes because of location needs it would make even more sense for this episode to have the difference be noticeable.
As he had just wrapped Sweet Home Season 2 I think any time his hair looks black with it shorter near his neck was filmed within the first few weeks of production. They probably did most of their larger stunts early on so that post had time to edit in all the demon magic and other VFX. He probably dyed it lighter during production and it has since grown out.

I swear if we get another 'Long distant epic love' ending like in Crash Landing On You & King Eternal Monarch, or the 'years later after death of FL possible happy but very vague' ending with Goblin, and Hotel De Luna imma be very sad/disappointed. I enjoyed all of those dramas but there's something about an actual hopeful and happy ending that I honestly really need right now.

2ML will either die or take over the company...I can't really see a third option. But so far the writing has done well with the "We're being obvious...but are we..." kind of layered storytelling so they might have another option up their sleeve.

ep 10 ends with Gu Won getting his tattoo back, which would only occur if Do Hee died. There's a part of me that doesn't think he just simply healed her, but that he signed a contract himself to get her back. I can't remember if it was this show or another that mentioned not being able to bring back the dead...aka Cheon Sook(Chairwoman) or if it was because of how much time had passed sense her death that he couldn't do anything.

I still love all of the modern hanbok looks they have Song Kang in for Gu Won. It's fashionable and young while still tipping their hat to his origins.

I forgot about his army of gangsters! Lord only knows what other kinds of nonsense they could fit into 6 episodes.

I can't tell if this is a serious question or a rhetorical question. but either way it made me think of how well the wardrobe department is doing on this show.

It's a co-lab with SBS so 16 episodes is the normal length. I also dislike it when 16ep dramas keep in filler when they could have just gotten to the point. So expect lots of blue drink and coffee candy ads coming our way. As well as more from the two secretaries/right hand man/woman of the leads.

The hair continuity in ep 10 was on another level. Every time the scene changed to a different location aka different day of filming, Song Kang's hair would change not only from black to reddish brown but from a shorter length to the baby mullet.
Not super important just thought it was funny/interesting.

Even though this is definitely for 'The Story of Park's Marriage Contract' I'll see if I can answer them for you.

The watch was most likely collected by the Kang family as it was dropped when she was thrown into the well, and her shoes were neatly placed by the well...aka staging the scene to look like a suicide.

The watch belonged to the young deity, it's just a marker of her promise to return the kindness the FL's grandfather showed her...a way to keep an eye on the family.

The painting was done by the Kang Tae Ha(ML) of the past. It was of Yeon Woo(FL) when they met as children at the creek/river. He'd had a crush on her since that meeting as far as we know. Present day grandfather sees it as the thing he wasn't supposed to have, his fixation if you will. His father was going to donate all of the artifacts that he had in his possession to the public either after his death or prior we are sure. The Kang grandfather is power and money driven.

The flashback showed Hwang Myeong Su [Hye Suk's right-hand man] throwing Yeon Woo in the well. It was his voice that she recognized in present day. Sa Wol recognized the watch because Yeon Woo never went anywhere without it since her grandfather gave it to her. As Yeon Woo didn't have it on her person after coming to present day, Sa Wol concluded that whomever had possession of the watch was responsible for her "death".

We haven't yet seen who exactly was behind tossing Yeon Woo in the well. It could have been ordered by the grandfather or by the stepmother. But it was 100% Hwang Myeong Su who carried it out.

Talk about daddy issues in human form. He saved her from her father's abuse and then she obsessed over him for over a decade(don't know how old the character is). Have we even gotten a concrete timeline of when she came back into his life after the night GW collected her father's soul?
