Title Moving Spoiler
So looked it up cause....knowledge and what not.
Anywhoo no major spoilers from the webtoon, just speculation on my part for episode breakdown based on the titles of each episode and reading the webtoon.
Episode 18(South and North) looks like it will be dealing with Doo Shik's last mission and the North's response to his presence. My prediction is that this will mainly consist of flashbacks. Episode 19 (Finale Battle) present day...now that we have our North backstory it's officially go time, all hands on deck.
Episode 20 (Graduation Day) looks like it will cover all of the epilogues. aka where are they now for each character/family.

Title Moving Spoiler
there will be a flashback of Kim Doo Shik flying around and shooting with the NK soldiers in the last 3 episodes.
One of the flashbacks will focus on what Doo Shik's last mission was in the North and how that mission had a domino effect for all of the current NK agents in the school and in the gym.
With at least 3 characters that weren't present during the final battle(girl who snuck into the school, class bully, and Lighting man) I'm curious to see how they interweave present and past into the last 3 episodes. The script writer did something a bit more interesting imo by making the number of powered adults to children in the school equal. Only Jae Man's son was in the school during the finally battle. Mama Mi Hyun is also way more ruthless in the show adaption...didn't even wait for a stupid speech...just BAM...hole in the forhead. love that for her.

Ngl but the guy who can stop time is the best power!! You can stop the time and do changes in between and a lot…
in episode 16. you don't see the person's face just a name. you see a hand snap their fingers while cutting to a ticking clock. When the person snaps the clock stops as well as the teacher. The next shot is the teacher writing that the student transferred schools after showing no abilities. aka the student was smart enough to figure out what was going on an bounced outta there right quick.

I love love love that the show has changed just enough in the show from the webtoon to keep me fully on the edge of my seat. There are more innocents in the school than there was in the webtoon, so we are all a bit blind with the outcome of some characters. The girl who snuck into the school and the student bully character didn't really exist/wasn't present at the final battle, so I have questions. Is he actually the child of a powered person? Is he trying to get the files for someone else or is he just trying to out the class president? Who/what is in the freaking trunk of that car?
Also...mister time stopper in the flash back...where you at you sneaky-sneak-sneak? So smart. Probably figured out what the school was up to and made sure to not get caught.

I can not wait for Mi Hyun to fuck some shit up. Also with papa bear #2 on the way, Jae Man, shits about to get real. The show actually did something that the webtoon didn't. There is now one powered adult to child ratio in the school.

I really hope we get the North Korean agents backstory in the final 3 episodes, as their past, like our main protagonists', shape how they act in the present. The script writer/story adaptor really left no crumbs. The story does leaned to the possibility of a season 2, but I kind of hope that they leave it to one amazing season of television. Not every IP needs a sequel, and the way that this story ends imo works well. Some people might be disappointed, but I always like stories where each person can imagine what the future holds for each character rather than long drawn out, sometimes disappointing continuations. looking at you Star Wars...looking at you.

Only slight spoiler cause i want to keep it vague for ppl who haven't read the webtoon...But those who have should know who i'm talking about.

I really hope that they keep the storyline of Hee Soo's "Uncle" in the show. I just love the idea of them(read as Hee Soo) adopting him into the family.

Title My Lovely Liar Spoiler
TBH neither building a music empire nor he love do ha is makes sense for him to kill her. Do Ha already break…
Imo she's in need of some psychological help, and who would have followed/brought down Do Ha. But yeah that is still a weak motive to purposely kill someone.
It could have simply been a case of the CEO going to the beach after hearing that the couple had a public fight. He could have just been concerned about his friend who had been trapped in an extremely toxic relationship. Once he got there the gf could have tried to convince the CEO to make Do Ha get back together with her by physically holding on to him. He could have just pushed/shaken her off of himself and she could have fallen and hit her head on a rock. The friend could have panicked and hid the body. He didn't have to be in LOVE with his friend to want to hide the fact he accidentally killed someone. It could have been that he didn't want this to be public because he wanted to be a "public" figure.
I'm just saying you didn't have to make the villain queer or have the only queer character be a killer/murderer and then commit suicide not because he was outed for killing someone, but because he was outed as queer. I'm using queer as an umbrella term because it is never out right stated if the character is gay or bisexual. So queer is covering both bases.

Also if anyone wants to know more about the 'killing your queers/Bury your gays' or 'queer-coded villains' tropes in media Jessica Kellgren-Frozard has some amazingly informitive videos on those topics touching on what the Hays Code was in western movies and television between 1934 and 1968. Also "The Take" on youtube covers these topics well.

Not the kill your queers/queer villain trope two-in-one. WHY!??? I realize that Korea is very behind when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community and representation, but like come on. It's giving homophobia. I know that it would be a good twist and that's most likely why it's the storyline, but as a queer person, I'm really sick these tropes in media.
They could have had the character been straight and have his motives be about building a music empire or something, but no, we need couple rings to be a red herring so he needs to be in love with Do Ha. I was really enjoying the show and was hoping that my suspensions about Jo Deok Chan were wrong/off base, but they played the old "The gay guy did it and needs to die for his sins of being a gay man." Cause it's very much giving, I'm killing myself because my sexual orientation was found out not the fact I murdered someone and hide it from my best friend for 5 years.

I would think Frank isn't dead. Didn't seem enough damage to keep him from healing. His story seems incomplete…
He's not a character from the webtoon so I'm honestly not really sure. The drama really expands the webtoon. Elevates it a bit. But Frank's whole storyline including Lightman bus driver isn't in the webtoon.

There is a character like him on the North Korean side that is like Joo Won, but doesn't feel pain. But idk.

We are back in 2018 by episode 15. We had to know all the pieces(people) on the board before what's about to happen.…
7 episodes focusing on the kids 7 episodes focusing on the parents and their dynamic.

spoilers for the webtoon. which i finished since my last response to you.

The only thing left of the webtoon storyline are backstories of the North Korean powered agents sent to test the kids, plus the mission that Doo Shik was sent on, and the night we are currently on in 2018. The night we are seeing in 15 is the last "day" of the webtoon. With 3 short epilogue scenes after. I'm not sure if there is another "season" for the webtoon, but Disney might have opted to continue with an original storyline later on. I feel like with what we have left of the original source material 5 hours is more than enough. Will it be satisfactory for everyone...no, I don't think it will. because the ending of the webtoon leaves soooo much room for more story down the road.

I love how everyone’s storyline is shared and explained I can’t wait until next week 😫☺️
I wonder if we are going to get a dedicated flashback to the NK agents stories? Cause their stories do exist in the webtoon, I just don't know if it's going to be interspliced with the school battle like in the webtoon or if it will be more like ep 8 - 14. Cause imo I think their stories do matter. But the show has a lot more characters than the webtoon. There will be a lot for those who've read the webtoon to be surprised by.

I'm pretty sure that his brain being outside of his body in pieces probably clenched it. If the brain stays IN the skull it has time to heal and be put back together. Outside, in mushy little pieces...not so much. I'm thinking the decapitation rules would work on them, but we've only seen a partial decap of Joo Won before he healed himself.

I feel like they have the space for more seasons if disney wants to continue. i also think 5 episodes is more than enough. that's 5+ hours. now that connections are established the pace will pick up a bit. at least going off of past experiences. even if they dont get a season 2 i dont feel like the adults' stories were a waste of time, but I'm an adult so...🤷‍♀️ the only time i felt bored was when Frank was going after ppl we had zero connection to & the action scenes seemed to drag a bit. but we did kind of need that to understand the danger MH & KBS were in when he entered the restaurant.

Oh...I've been using my vpn because hulu does hard cuts to black instead of smooth transitions between scenes. even with a no ad version on hulu I just couldn't get behind how it was edited for that site.

True the drama actually demands story arc of each main characters and it delivers.
I love it so much. Also love that it has the seven days between to get to pause and guess(for those of us who haven't read the source material). I have a watercooler relationship with the show. I'm excited to see what's going to happen next. I'm not seeing any teasers before the next weeks episodes so going in blind each week is honestly refreshing.
I've been trying to convince one of my co-workers into watching it before it's finished airing, but alas nope. It's scratching the nerd part of my brain. Also why I write novel length comments and responses....aka my brain doesn't want to stop thinking about it even though it's 5am here. (I work nights so it's actually more like 8pm for me, hence why I'm awake and everyone that I want to take to about it is asleep)

Title Moving Spoiler
We are back in 2018 by episode 15.
We got to know each chess piece bit by bit over the last 15 episodes. Now the game is about to begin.
I've seen a lot of people discussing not liking how long we've been in the past. Having that backstory is important for motivations and context. Each of the parents influenced each other in the past. Joo Won was the reason that Mi Hyun was able to distance herself from the Director. Meeting Jae Man and his son, Gang Hoon, made Joo Won realize that they were going to go after his Hee Soo. They needed to show that trust and that understanding of children before all else.

By episode 15, the parents are finding out at the exact same time that their children were lured to the high school under false pretenses. On the night that both of their, Joo Won & Mi Hyun, separate investigations begin, it just so happens to be the same night that NK spies are fishing for info in the same location. The interactions that the adults had with each other in the past are vitally important to the overall plot of the show. They know of each other, but they don't know what the other has gone through in the past 18+ years. Nor did they ever get close in the past. They were only connected through Doo Shik. (I haven't read the webtoon, just found the links in the discussion section of this page) I feel like they are going to have a moment of distrust...are they still working for the director...or is his/her kid a student too?

Seriously the set up...the kids in the bus with mister McFloaty-float-lighting-head. (Also side side note....they let that man have ANOTHER BUS after what he did with the last one? REALLY? REALLY? Are we sure about that? )
Lee Gang Hoon, Bang Ki Soo, Choi Il Hwan, Mi Hyun, Joo Won, are all in the same place at the same time that a team of powered/gifted NK spies are about to roll up. (EDIT: I just realized that because Gang Hoon is late coming home it might get Jae Man to the high school as well) With the outliers of Yoon Sung Wook, the proby, and the cleaning lady...who if I think the voice is right was the one who called in the spies. I knew they wouldn't waste her, but I was hoping that she was on the "good" side, or at least the morally grey side of the battle night.

I'm so excited for next week! I personally really love how in-depth the story gets while still leaving a lot of mystery to uncover each week.
