Guys, this is a tough question:which one is the worst show? Strong Girl Nam Soon or Love Alarm?
I never even started season 2 of Love Alarm because I was over the woah is me attitude of every character. That whole show was depressing af.
With Namsoon, I kept hoping that they would swing back to Namsoon and her relationship with Hee Shik, and develop their relationship more, but they never really did. We had more in-depth scenes with the homeless couple than we ever got with what was supposed to be the FL and ML.
They never fully showed her being uncomfortable with the "villain" and contrasted it well enough with how comfortable she is with the "ML". They didn't want her to come off as manipulative while UNDERCOVER so it always came across as genuine interest/concern when it came to her relationship to her boss...who was actively and gleefully killing people.
They had such serious subject matter only to not give it the proper weight it deserved in the story. The homeless couple was pointless. She could have met a singular female homeless person who was kind to her to be able to further that part of the story. The acting thing went nowhere. It was a waste of airtime. The uncle was also a waste of could have been funny, but just became absolutely pathetic, and again went NO WHERE. The brother's plot was necessary and worked well, but we never got to see her bond with her TWIN.

So what those two shows have in common is lack of clarity on feelings. But Namsoon is the bigger offender because it was billed as a romcom....very little Rom from the titular character.

Class can be indicated by a number of visual cues. hair style & ornaments, style of hanbok & fabric, shoes, make-up,…
i thought that was was said, but wasnt 100%. thank you for answering my question! 🥰

also to add on for those curious.

Hair down & braided for women means unmarried/young, for men they put their hair in a top knot when they come of age, typically around the age of 15.
At that time, Joseon Era, Neo-Confucianism was taught & practiced so cutting one's hair would be considered extremely disrespectful to one's parents, as you hair is a gift from your parents.
Only monks would shave their heads completely.

Noble men and commoners wore gat(갓) traditional hats both outside & inside their homes.

Samo, are worn by government officals(the more solid one with little wings on the back, thimble looking ones).
Jeongjawan, are worn at home & by teachers. (they are the ones that look like architecture for the head, pointy and big). The more intricate the more wealth or status that person has.
Military/police/soldiers etc. officials wear a Junlip, the sturdy felt-like hats with feathers & beads. Kind of look like a symbol.
A Paeraengi, is made of reeds, bamboo or arrowroot & would be worn by commoners.

When woman married they tied up their hair. There is a great breakdown on thetalkingcupboard website "A Guide to Joseon Hairstyles & Headgears" highly recommend.
These hairs styles alone are a shorthand for class, status, and age etc. So if you plan to continue watching "historical" Korean shows it might be fun for you to investigate more. (I went down a whole ADHD hole a few years ago on this topic)

Also something that is sometimes a plot line in historical shows are the embroidery on the government officals tunics. There are certain animals that are only for royalty. The number of crains can indicate rank/position. It is such a detailed an nuanced thing...shot out to all the wardrobe & costume designers for keeping track.

something that bothers me- and its not new in kdrama land- is the presence of another language being absolutely…
nothing is as bad as LL Cool J "speaking" Korean in NCIS LA....I wanted to crawl inside my own body & no longer exist.

come one guys, I wanted to start this drama despite it not being finished yet but I didn't find a single positive…
i was having a lot of fun at first but with the way they have the FL separated from the ML AND her family for the majority of the episodes it just isnt vibing right for me. hopefully the final 4 episodes will have more interactions, but 🤷‍♀️.

Title Strong Girl Nam Soon Spoiler
I'm finishing it only to see Seongwu and Yoomi's cute chemistry.. At first I was enjoying and having fun watching…
i think it started from them(FL & villan) working together previously. also with the ML currently serving his military service it's falling on the other two (fl & villan) to promote the drama. also the editing of the show has me raising an eyebrow. they really needed more bonding time with the ML & the FL.

Title The Matchmakers Spoiler
I think with this episode it is obvious JW is the love agent. Also i think the brother recognised her but didnt't…
The Crown Prince is the son of a different woman(the queen who has passed on). The King has multiple consorts(wives). The woman in the palace you see is the sister of the FL's MiL, and the mother of the prince they want to replace the current crown prince with.
After a certain age the other male heirs do not live in the palace, as it is a safety risk to the heir. They are trying to fake an attempt on the Crown Prince's life so that he will be moved to a different location & easier to gain access to. It will also be easier to cover up his death if it happens outside of the palace.
The family clan wants their people in power aka put their relative on the thrown instead of a child from a different family. That way they can have more sway over the royal in "power".

I am curioue how they decided she is a noblewoman according to her dress?
Class can be indicated by a number of visual cues. hair style & ornaments, style of hanbok & fabric, shoes, make-up, head covering, etc. with the men the hats give away status as well as the embroidery on their tunics. the hairstyle that the FL wears with her family indicates that she is not only married, but a widow by how simple the hair pin is. It's made of an expensive material, but not overly ornamented. Her clothes are in muted tones as well.If a noble woman's husband dies before there are children a lot of noble families have their daughter-in-law join her husband...aka suicide or assisted suicide. It wasnt always done, but yeah it was a thing. Im honestly not 100% sure that her son is her and her husband's child, but the child of his older brother...I've kind of lost track of some of the family trees at this point.

nope not the next day two months later. and the kids most likely had to sign NDAs or you know, were more worried about the threat of death. the writers dont need to spoon feed the audience into how the kids arent publicly talking about almost being murdered.

I'm on ep 6 and still bored with this. Will this get more interesting and if so when? They just keep talking boring…
I need you to look up bully in SK. People have died and nothing happened. There is little to no recourse for minor offenders. They normally just pay a fine and are on their marry way. There are multiple well known cases of bullying far worse than what is shown in the show. Stephanie Soo's Rotten Mango channel on youtube has covered a lot of these stories. The bullying issues in SK is why when an idol or actor is accused of having bullied people in middle or high school it could end their career and have them black listed. it's also not called "bullying" in SK it's called "School Violence".

It's like a classic novel! People who find the early episodes boring have never read classic books and thus don't…
@ParkMeOut and @AK76 this is the exact thing I was looking for as an explanation as to why some people were just not getting it. I had like thesis level convos about this show as it was airing going into all the different nuances. Coming back to the comment section to see how the binge watchers have been enjoying it and being like..."Did we watch the same show?"

I see no reason for s2 honestly....I expected much from kanghoon because of how they showed his power, he could…
I think that it could also be about the fact that the second parent isn't powered. The ONLY second gen with two powered parents is Bong Seok. But one parent wasn't around to help train that side(float/flying) and the other(super senses) was actively trying to prevent him from going down that path at all.
But yes, the other two kids are weaker than their powered fathers because not only are they young, their mothers side could have watered it down a bit.
But I really like the fact that the kids actually have to train to be better instead of magically all powerful and perfectly able to use their abilities.

Too slow for me too, I'm still at episode 3 after a week😩
The fight scenes tended to drag on for me in those early episodes. As Frank is a new character for the show, his storyline didn't really interest me much, as it doesn't have anything to do with the final outcome of the shows overall plot. He is a outlet for getting to know the "first gen" agents, and that's about it.

way too many small characters all cramped up in the last episode. it just looked lile they had the actors signed…
As there have been building collapses in SK before as well as sink holes being an actual thing it's not as far fetched as one would think. Though I get it.

I enjoyed some part and some not so much. That parents background isn't interesting for me except Kim... Parents.…
I enjoyed both equally. I loved getting to see the parents personalities and how they kind of informed how the children are as people. The different types of families and love. I also really enjoy a slow burn when it comes to romance in this type of genera, so that's another reason why I think I enjoyed it so much.

We want a sequel don't we?But with the original characters and the ORIGINAL cast
They might be able to workout a contract for down the road. They could do 'Timing' first, which would need to be a new cast away as they are new(older chronologically) characters. 'Bridge' could be a season 3. So if they do 'Timing' they need to do an extended contract from the jump. By the time season 3 would come around the schedules for the cast of 'Moving' would possibly be more open. As the production takes about a year it's a hard ask for your average Korean actor/actress as that is an extremely long production time for a show. As the actors have been playing older than they are for the adult cast and just slightly younger for the younger cast the time between shouldn't be too much of an issue appearance wise. at least in my opinion.

There is hope for a season 2.There is a sequel to the webtoon named "Bridge". Unfortunately, it hasn't been translated…
I think they would probably swing to 'Timing' first as the characters from that are also in 'Bridge'.

wtf is wrong with you this comment is so disgusting
a 36 was cast to play a character from their early 20s to their mid 40s...seems like a perfect mid point to me. Also the actor playing the boy had to gain 30kgs because the CHARACTER is cubby...it's an entire plot point of the damn show.
you are so shallow, it's probably best you stick to shows with no plot or character development because apparently it goes right over your head.
