Sometimes I think about Sang Yan's inner emotions like the Inside Out characters. Cause so much is happening up there as he tries to remain cool, calm, & collected, but it's sooooo all hands on deck.

Love Like the Galaxy(im hesitant to rec this one because of it's length & subject matter but it's Lusi & Leo, so...I would maybe build to this after Hidden Love & Amidst a Snowstorm of Love)
New Life Begins(same lead male as TFF, Bia Jing Ting, girl power/friendship above all, funny & heart felt)
Destined(Also Bia Jing Ting, his character is a bit of an ass at the beginning but you will love him later, also reel to real lead couple if the rumors are true😉)

episode 17 had like i think 10ish minutes of second couple stuff...tbh I 2x part of it and skipped the rest so can't tell you exactly how long.
18 only followed Wen Yi Fan(mainly) & San Yan.

They are playing fast and loose with the source material to the point it's changing important characteristics of characters core personality.

Same author NOT the same screenwriter. In this one*The First Frost) the Screenwriter/Director(it's the same person) he has taken a lot of liberties with the source material and added an entire subplot that has nothing to do with anything the original story had. He also constantly adds things that weren't in the original story that imo shouldn't have been added.
The main love story though is pretty accurate to the original source material.

He should have listen when she said no the first time and not barged in.

Getting a masters in Hotel Management or Hospitality can be extremely important if you want to climb the ranks in the industry. Education in this field might not seem important to people on the outside but in places filled with extremely wealthy people, hospitality/management is EXTREMELY important.
You are sometimes tasked with juggling many egos and personalities from a multitude of cultures including hosting royalty or world leaders. Businesses making multimillion dollar deals etc.
What she is seeking is a means to be in upper management of a 5 star hotel or resort instead of middle management or a lower ranking hotel.
This isn't a Holiday Inn situation, this is a business hub, luxury escape, meeting of the tycoons type of situation.
There is a world renowned school in Switzerland called Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne or EHL for short. I'm assuming this is the school she is looking into.

There are actually a lot of pros to going as well...it's just that her family is so "marriage & babies" focused that her dreams don't seem important. There are genuine concerns when it comes to being a female in any industry trying to seek employment after a certain age, because misogyny and discrimination are everywhere. But if her dream is to be able to be the best in her field higher education is the way to go. She was held back by outsiders before because it was "inconvenient" for them, she is finally free of that and wants to do what she had always planned to do.

They really captured Sang Yan's longing and heartbreak in university. "Throwing away my phone....it doesn't work anymore." Because he can't get through to her, he no longer sees the point in keeping the phone. (He obviously keeps it, as it was one of the only things to survive the fire at his apartment.)
It's easy to see why Duan Jia Xu and Sang Yan became the closest of the roommates. DJX actually notices Sang Yan's sadness. Just like Sang Yan can tell that DJX needs help. They end up relying a lot on each other during this time as neither one has the capacity to people for long periods of time.

They very much get along with one another. I think people just talk crap because it's pretty well known that he's in a long term relationship, so they assume he wont have chemistry with a costar for some reason. Which isn't the case.

saving 6 for after I wake up. the music and vibe is so mellow that as this airs at the end of my day I just want to curl up and dream. So the long blinks started happening. On the plus side I figured out that Roku has the iQiYi app so HD on my TV instead of just my laptop...small victories. Seriously the OSTs in this one are so damn calming and give me happy thoughts that I feel good enough to sleep.

oh it's going based off of the original contract then. because the drama finish for express members not regular viewers. add on the fact that VIKI normally has a set delay time from the original networks basic release schedule....

They are showing a snapshot of their relationship. a 7 year relationship that slowly over time became abusive. to the point she didn't even realize it was abuse she was experiencing. This happens all the time. You forgive the bad because you are only looking at the good times. Some people don't realize until they record it or write down the interactions that they are being manipulated by their partner.

Let me be completely clear the only reason I find He Su Ye's behavior cute and endearing is because he is a fictional man in a romance played by Zhang Ling He. Anyone else doing this irl...straight to jail. I am delulu, but I know I am delulu & thus am not actually delusional about real world behavior vs fictional world behavior.
