Ana men cairo, we ana met5arraga (as I've stated in my profile) men zaman, Faculty of Alsun 2010 graduate. 3aggezt :((
If u say high school, do u mean tanya sanawy walla talta??
So eventually the show got an extension and became 18 episodes instead of 16.
I have yet to watch the show, but I'm so GLAD they didn't stretch it to be a 20 because dramas who are planned to be 16 and end up 20 or more, its story becomes messed up or downright boring in the last few episodes

I'm not a fan of Coffee Prince so yes I understand what you mean ;-)
So would you like to watch a melodrama? A romance+alpha? Or a family drama?
I would recommend Innocent man for the 1st genre, City Hall (a bit old but great) for the second, as for Family dramas, well to be honest I rarely watch Korean dramas that are categorized as such (maybe Be Strong Geum Soon was the only one I watched) might be that I prefer Japanese in that genre, but there are some RomComs that have just a more pinch of family like My Girl or the famous Reply 1997.

The K-Drama fan base is huge in Egypt don't worry!! On the other hand when I find someone who's into JDoramas more that's what's rare ;-)
I've got: fatenista, genger, emag555 & there might be others in my friends but those r the ones I've found written their location as Egypt.
You'll find more & more Egyptians in their friends ;-)

Sorry for the late reply!
I like romcoms a lot too, enjoy the fun parts and the cute moments yes, but I still expect a firm plot with enough interesting background stories not just 100% pure romance if you know what I mean. Like when they mix law or politics besides the romance.
Well, realistic is good but honestly I've discovered it's a characteristic which is hard to expect from k-dramas ;-)
And I don't blame them, they certainly create great fantasy plots like time travel ones that's currently trending or body swapping which was in trend previously.
But once in a while I like to take a break from RomComs and try a more serious drama like melodramas and revenge or sometimes simply a bit of family dramas for a change ;-)

Hi!!
I love your sharp, detailed and witted reviews a lot so I allowed myself to add you hope it's ok.
I agreed a lot with your opinions of the dramas I watched (Scent of a Woman in particular) a lot, and because I started to value your kDrama taste, and after reading your positive review of mary stayed out all night which I had watched 2 episodes of and confidently dropped right away (which is btw something I rarely do because I believe one should at least watch 4 episodes of a Korean Drama before deciding whether it deserves to be watched or not). Now after reading your review, I'm starting to feel I might have been wrong and that I should have given it another chance... to that extent your reviews are convincing :D

Thanks a lot, I'm currently on a bit of a rest from my Drama Craze :))) so when I'm finished with it I'll be watching these two shows. We can then discuss my impressions on both in private messages if it's ok with you, I hate writing here coz of the restricted number of letters :S

Now I'll definitely be watching Tonbi next after the Queen's Classroom which I was supposed to have watched ages ago but I kept putting it off, even my JDorama addicted sister who I lend dramas always watched it before I did and I hadn't even told her about it!!!
At the time when I started watching it I was put off with the little girl (now all big and mature ^^)'s acting. I only watched about 2 episodes and dropped it, but I kept reading great reviews about it ever since so I thought I might have been mistaken after all.
I totally agree with you, ppl here on MDL mainly concentrate on rom-coms who I don't say never produce gems or meaningful plots, but well....they're not expected to if you know what I mean.
I'm so glad I found a friend with the same tastes as mine!!! ^_~
HILARIOUS!!! I especially love The Pic with the guy with the?”Pulssanghada-Kawaisou" Look ;-)
Well, I've nearly reached the same incurable condition. My major was Japanese so everyone at home's used to me mumbling & singing out loud in Japanese a lot and even replying in Japanese, lately I sometimes find myself giving short Korean replies (wae? and stuff like that)but no one seems to notice the difference :)))
I sometimes think we should try making our parents watch a couple of our favorite dramas (the ones we feel suits their tastes) no need to turn them into addicts like us, but at least we should try to make them acknowledge the GREATNESS of Asian dramas X_X
Keep writing fun articles Aja Aja p(^_^)q
what about king 2 hearts' lee jae ha ang eun shi kyung? or panda and hedgehog's seung ji and won il :)
I add my voice to yours.
K2H definitely deserves to be listed up here!! one of the relationships in that show that I enjoyed & appreciated the most was Jae Ha and Shi Kyung's!!
Well I've already acknowledged that this show was unexpectedly interesting in a kind of way, considering that a lot of people including myself enjoyed the Shi Kyung & the Princess' relationship more than the main couple's ;-)
Thanks for the fun article. My favorites are Nobuta and Sungkyunkwan! Watching your video of the latter was so…
sorry if that looked like a spoiler :(
Actually I tried to keep my description as vague as possible so that it won't spoil anything to anyone, but it seems it did.
I've removed a sentence from my comment, because I hate un-hidden spoilers more than anything. Sorry again :S
Ever sine i heard about good doctor (when only the story and joo won being the lead were the only info had been announced) I've added it immediately to my to watch list. This and The master's sun r the most two upcoming dramas that I'm looking forward to :-) hope they're both up to the expectations
Thanks for the fun article.
My favorites are Nobuta and Sungkyunkwan!
Watching your video of the latter was so fun, and though I've watched the drama I never thought there would be all that number of bromance moments between the two No wonder they got best couple award that year!!
As for Gaksital, the word tragic says it all!! My favorite scene in the whole drama was the one kang to was crying on shunji back on the bicycle. Epic!

In the ItaKiss drama, they had to cut out a lot of funny and amusing and sometimes meaningful scenes because of time issues maybe. But that's never a problem if you haven't watched the anime or did a long time ago and forgotten a lot of stuff ;-) besides when kotoko turns into a real human being, you can't help but feel she's just a scary stalker, you know what I mean?! :D
But all in all it's a nice light drama, that's perfect to watch when you're in the mood for something that's not so serious.
Mother!! That was superb! I hope you've read my review. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely give tonbi a try, especially when I'm in the "serious stuff" mood :-)
If you need any drama recommendations I'll think of some stuff that seem to match your tastes according to your ratings, ok?
