as the series is about to end, I'm finally starting it (i knew i would've died waiting each week for one episode).…
I learned that lesson after watching "Blank" week by week. Now I always wait for a drama to (almost) finish before starting it so I can binge it. And of course I agree with your assessment of the quality of this drama. It is a masterpiece in my opinion.
my first gl and omg it's dope. now I'm gonna go to my friend for more gl suggestions cuz I'm addictedðŸ˜
There are lots of Thai GLs that are worth watching, but you need to be aware that this is easily the best GL produced to date. So don't watch the others thinking they will be of this standard, otherwise you'll be disappointed. But again, plenty of other GLs are entertaining and worth a watch, even if they aren't the masterpiece that "ClaireBell" is.
You took time out of your day to invalidate a butchfemme show that's not even released yet, the only trash I see…
You wrote, "If you’re a man, why are you even watching GL? It’s for women, not for you, you’re not welcome here."
It is incredibly entitled of you to think you have the right to tell other people what they are allowed to watch. Its even more entitled of you to think you have the right to tell people that "they are not welcome" on a PUBLIC forum. Other people have as much right to be here as you do, and that includes people you disagree with.
Shouldn't you want a society in which diversity of sexuality and identity are respected by everyone? If so, achieving such a society isn't helped by telling people who aren't part of your in-group that they are not welcome. That attitude offends me and does nothing other than reinforce division.

GL is for women? BL is for men? Marvel movies are for super heroes? War movies are for soldiers? Science fiction movies are for aliens? Am I doing this right?
I've only watched the first episode, and already I can see that this drama is head and shoulders above any other Thai GL to date, in terms of production and acting. I hope it finds its way onto one of the big streaming platforms in the future so more people can enjoy it, because it is easily good enough. Edit: 5 episodes watched now and its only got better.
Lol I understand why the brother punched ML. I'd be pissed too when my friend, who has known my sister since she…
I don't think the brother's reaction is valid at all. Firstly, assault is a crime, and resorting to violence to express opinions is thuggish and immature. Secondly, it is none of the brother's fucking business who she dates. He doesn't own her. If he respected his sister at all, he wouldn't try to control her. It's bad enough when parents try to control their ADULT children's lives, but its even worse when a sibling feels so entitled that they think they can do likewise.
I agree with your points. I watched cause I was curious how they would adapt the novel. what a ride. it had it's…
Can I ask, how did this compare to the novel? I've read a lot of Thai GL novels, but not this one, so I'm asking before I spend money to buy it. I'm curious to know how the story and characters from the novel compare to the drama. In the drama, I'm finding Queen beyond obnoxious and quite frankly abusive in her (mis)treatment of Babe. And Babe's sudden attraction for Queen looks like textbook Stockholm Syndrome to me. Is the drama accurately reflecting the novel, or does the novel have nuance that the drama lacks?
There is literally no diff between Queen and Kem.1. Both Obsessively like babe2. Both equally toxic3. Both tried…
I agree with you. If anything, Ken treated Babe better than Queen. Although his emotions weren't reciprocated, and he threw an extended tantrum when he got rejected (and then went crazy), he actually treated her Babe well prior to that point. Queen on the other hand bullied and mistreated Babe from the beginning, literally treating her like property. Even though Queen occasionally used her money to help Babe, she never showed her even a hint of respect as a person. Even the first time they has sex, Babe had been drugged (which Queen knew), so it could be argued that was rape. At the very least, its not something you would do to a person you have any respect for.
The drama had potential, but sadly didn't get anywhere even close to fulfilling it. The most obvious issue is the poor production. The sound was terrible and the sound effects/music were ridiculous. Just so very, very amateur. The acting from the leads and some of the support cast was OK (not brilliant, just OK), but some of the acting from the support cast was genuinely terrible. Fight choreography was also very amateur and the editing also wasn't great. In terms of production, this is the second worse Thai GL this year, with only "B-Friend" being worse. I understand that small studios are trying to produce dramas with very limited budgets, and I genuinely respect them for that. I will happily sit through a GL drama with poor production if the story is enjoyable, which brings me to my biggest whinge about this drama. WTF did they do with the character of Queen!!! Compared to the character in the original novel, this version of Queen was a piece of shit. I've got no problem with cold, even arrogant characters, but in this drama, Queen was a selfish, entitled, sociopathic, manipulative bully who (mis)treated Babe like a piece of property. She was controlling and abusive (both physically and psychologically). Sure she spent money to sometimes help out Babe, but there wasn't even the slightest hint of respect or affection from her. She just wanted to protect her "property". The first time they had sex was when Babe had been drugged (which Queen knew), so that was borderline sexual assault. And then we have Babe suddenly (and for no obvious reason) decide that she loves her controlling abuser in a textbook example of Stockholm Syndrome. It was weird and uncomfortable to watch. The last episode attempted to humanise Queen somewhat, but it was FAR TOO LITTLE, FAR TOO LATE. My advice is skip this drama because its pretty bad.
I don't understand why the rating is so low. I know it's not the best moral script but still beside that it's…
The answer is simple - this drama was review bombed by morality warriors who didn't even watch it, but read the title. Mathematically it doesn't take that many 1/10 scores from these people to drag the overall MDL score down from where it perhaps should be.

Edit: 5 episodes watched now and its only got better.
Lin recently caught her fiancée cheating, broke up with her and returned to Thailand in an emotional state.
20 minutes into episode 1 and Jane and Lin are sucking each other's face.
No romantic build up. No explanation from Lin, let alone anything resembling a redemption arc for her. No … nothing. Just BAM! and they're in love for some reason.
It's just silly, and I don't think this drama is for me. Dropping after one episode.
