Well I'm sorry, I assumed you'd finished the episode, as these scenes are right at the end. My mistake...

I teach art to high school kids in the Netherlands... episode 12 made me so happy!! That little conversation about why art is so important... and Van Gogh too!!!^^.

Thank you. My thoughts exactly! People have been unfairly bitching about him, I think, saying he should just stop and move on. When you really love someone, especially someone that close to you, and they don't love you back... how hurt do you think you'd be... how easy do you think it'd be to just stop loving someone and move on immediately. You can see it in him, that he knows, but he just can't. Not yet. But he will. That little scene with his mum in ep. 12 was so sweet. Nicely written and played.

Uh... they literally both called her mom.

I think it's rather more likely that it's his mother, the artist Lee Sol, who abandoned him, and it's Deok Mi's mum who had some kind of function at the orphanage. I think Deok Mi and Ryan have met as children there.

I'm loving this to bits, and I'll probably rewatch favorite scenes... but I'll never rewatch it completely like I have Healer... several times.

Something needs to end first before something else can begin, right?! They've both been less than honest about who they are. Not maliciously, but just to protect themselves. In Duk Mi's case: it's hard enough to be taken seriously as a working woman... In Ryan's case: he's just afraid to get hurt... But now they can really find each other and build a genuine relationship. Looking forward to it!!^^
