He should have stayed away from idol dramas long ago, those dramas only help when you are young (even if they…
He had no choice in this, his agency was pushing these roles down his throat, they even managed to ruin a role for him before and he had to look for the upcoming ones (not aired yet) himself. These weren't even ML but it shows his desire to break away from this cycle.
At first i was like "huh, drugs? That's bad, man." but knowing now that he struggles with such mental health problems,…
I'm usually like "ok... drugs, well umm maybe some rehab'? " Then I remember that it's about South Korea (and east Asia in general) lol. Poor guy, I hope he'll be fine and he won't do anything stupid.
Issues with his agency, it's the only way to stop this masquerade. I hope he'll enjoy his time of rest and make…
Yes, my Chinese teacher was like, don't worry, he'll make a comeback, many actors before him retired to get some rest and came back. So I guess it's not uncommon in China to see actors do such moves for different reasons.
You're 100%, not only modern, but some stuff with a bit of action or intrigue like Trace. He can also do romances but for an older audience, people in their +thirties .

Ouch... I see your point, this is why I focused on his health because Won Bin was injured during his military service. I honestly don't know how he'll make his comeback, I just hope he'll continue acting... but one thing for sure, he won't do idol crap anymore, he's clearly sick of it and it doesn't match his age bracket anymore. Breaking out elsewhere won't be easy but he was always a hardworker, I'm sure he'd make it.
I don't get why they have to do this... Netflix is an international platform and international fans don't care when it's about drugs (there, I said it, I don't give a damn). Then they can block its access to their Korean platform.
Joy of life is epic actually, but its plot is complex and you'll need to watch almost half the season until you…
Wow you're really knowledgeable! Thanks for this amazing answer and I do share the sape belief as you. It's about looks, skills and mostly dedication. Jeremy has dedication and he's totally different from his debut, acting wise, he put sweat and blood into his craft. I also can't take lightly cute generals with amazing skin and a frail body... Jeremy has it all but they were adamant into making him play with idols instead if giving him scripts worthy if him...
The issues he faces, is the same issue the whole industry is going through too. I tried watching dramas with more…
Joy of life is epic actually, but its plot is complex and you'll need to watch almost half the season until you start getting a vague idea about where it's going, but the ending episodes are EPIC, pure perfection and the closing of the season is explosive. My heroic husband is also cool but it has a more serious side, it's about "problem solving in business". I didn't watch the last one.
Thing is that some shows had weak female leads that led to another vague of strong female leads versus weak male ones. It's actually time for industry to segment better their stories and give each genre justice, be it male centric (with better female roles, not the eternal whiny pouty ones) , female centric, or a mix of both.
glad to see everyone has a similar stance on his retirement, i really hope the best for him & he doesn't retire/he…
I think he'll come back, he's just now fighting back for himself against that greedy agency. He has to retreat to stop getting more idol crap with mediocre actresses and have more freedom choosing his roles.
Why can wait for his contract to expire and leave them? Why choose to retirement?
Because they'll force him to play into other shit projects and keep making his reputation go to the gutter (he's been basically suspected to be a creep because of this idol girl crap that he has NO WORD in it, and he was pushed to film those dramas). It's better for him to "retire" when the tide is turning in his favor and avoid getting destroyed or over-pressured by his agency. At least people are upset, if he retires later people will be like well he was sexy but I guess it was time to retire after all the latest lousy idol series.
It seems that some Iāll-intentioned people are now spreading rumours that heās retired to take over an imaginary…
I looked up into this nonsense... as if that aunt doesn't have kids of her own, TWO males, one of them has already taken over the business after their father's death. These speculations are harmful. I can't post on weibo (they're blocking foreign accounts) but I did my best on twitter, everytime I found such tweets.
I so agree with you! But if he is able to turn A budget shows, mediocre scripts and terrible actresses to S class…
Yes, I can't tell that she's into gossip for sure but she loves talking about different dramas and she can teach you stuff based on material you want. You'll learn how to say stuff while being entertained. I'll send you her profile.
I just saw it as well. Absolutely shocked and devastated! These agencies have far too much power and they are ruining…
I've seen somebody here posting this a few weeks ago: https://goplay.pw/57452d69366b7a33706e7066356633326374/Trace/ , it's not an official platform so we can't support our handsome and talented homeboy, and the translation isn't the best but it does the job.
Same, wishing him the best comeback ever!
