Our dude is being too careful and I see why he talked about pairing up once with Dilreba, it's about "audience", if he thinks she's talented I might just stop watching series altogether. However, I hope that he'll take "more risks" and chose more daring roles. He's an amazing actor and he needs to have a great legacy behind him, and work until he's in his eighties (long life to him). He's more than a face, I hope he can manifest that more. Also he exercise a lot, if he could dive into some action stuff he can have a larger audience (including masculine one) and get better offers for new series or good quality movies.

On a more serious note, I just can't take series with officials and "generals" who are less than 30 years old seriously. In this series, it makes sense and at that time, it was common to have several concubines and stuff. So age wise, I think we're good.

Maybe the stuff he worked on isn't something that you like, you might have liked him in other dramas or other styles. For romance, it could also be a matter of chemistry between two actors, even a good actor like him can't pull it off by himself (I'm thinking about "that drama" that I can't name hahaha) . Still, he's a good actor, not just a pretty face.
