Same, wasn't able to watch... too short and there wasn't a version where everything is collected in one video... damn I'm mad at his agency, they're totally wasting his talent, I wish he can get recruited elsewhere.

You're not the only one, overly overrated as actresses. And I do share the same remark about Dylan Wang, he can be helped with a good story and a character that is "easy" to play, once it becomes complex, he'll be lost for sure.
But I didn't get the "type of fans" part, what's the difference between them?

He always kept a balanced weight (that helps with keeping skin firm), he looks serious with his fitness routine and he must have a very good dermatologist + some light plastic procedures (I've seen someone commenting about his eyes, I'm not asian so I never paid attention until I saw that comment). I know many people in real life who are like this only with a good lifestyle (food + exercise and some basic skin routine) and keeping a balanced weight, they never gain weight (nothing beyond that one or two kilos) nor lose it quickly.

He needs a good actress, like a skilled one like NiNi because with her, he'll be again holding the whole show on his shoulders. Dilraba is an ethereal beauty but unfortunately, I can't watch a single one of her shows without dropping it from the first episode.

It was about survival of clans, the most powerful needed more children to keep power... they had an issue of malnutrition first: I've read some weird crap during some dynasties where women were fed almost nothing to stay slender and frail, that will automatically impact their fertility. In other places, food wasn't that plentiful we all live in lucky times where even people in developing country have access to better food than before.
Add to that much higher mortality of infants and mothers. Also the more kids you have as a powerful clan, the more alliances you can get through marriage.
There was also another issue, wars happened often and many men were sent to the battle fields, so the ratio was often unbalanced and there was more women to fend for => they have to get married off as additional wives in cultures where polygamy was a norm or as "concubines" where polygamy is possible but it has a certain hierarchy: only one wife as a head of the house + concubines.
I'm a hardcore feminist but I do get the logic, this is why I see it as "normal" within some specific times and systems.

And it's so coherent with hos personality, he does have clarity of mind yet he decides at first to hide his feelings, bit his actions are now bolder and bolder (to his own standards of course lol 😆)

It would have been perfect if the drama what shot a few years ago, now with the chinese gov' limitations , we'd habe been tortured for one year to get the rest as a "second season" and pray that everybody has filled diligently their taxes and nobody among the cast is involved in some crap 😭😭😭😭😭

So... am I actually the only one who love how the romance is extremely slow and there's more strategy going on? It looks more natural this way, as the stacks are soo high for so many protagonists and it's the old times, you just don't go casually on dates and have long romantic discussions. I did well by waiting until this week to catch up with everything, now only 10 episodes to go.

I had to look up "sausage eyelids" and even see an explanatory video about it because I couldn't figure it out lol. I went back to see him in an interview and I guess it's alright, he has "width" in his eyes and they're "elongated", it doesn't look bad on him but maybe a revision as you said will give him a sharper look, I won't say no to that, haha!

It's an open ending, the two ML have a different paths in life, one is an opera singer and the other is a businessman and the head of a family to take care of. So at the end, they won't stay together but who knows what's gonna happen later, whether they'll meet or not.

My only regret is not watching this drama before. This is hands on the best Chinese drama I EVER watched until now, mind blowing, the acting is AMAZING, the scenario, the characters are coherent and of course, the Opera: Wow, just wow.

This is a classic, a piece of art made to stay forever, all other dramas I've watched so far PALE to this, including the ones with my "favorite" actors, I can't deny this, I'm still in awe after I just finished it and that last scene, I didn't know if I should clap amid my tears or just cry altogether. It's not sadness, just emotion by that scene, the most beautiful one I saw in anything I've watched so far in my whole life, all countries combined. Both ML deserve the highest prizes only for that scene, not even the rest even though the rest was amazing.

I loved every single bits of the show, I just wished I could see more of it! I don't intend to nag but the fact this isn't rated 10, or at least more than 9 is beyond me.

Sometimes I cry under severe stress, not sobbing but tears start running down my cheeks as if I were sad, but I'm just conflicted and emotionally involved, like you want to say something but you can't because it will cause too many consequences beyond me. It's a very complex feeling, so I understand this scene a bit too well.

I've only watched love between fairy and devil, she was pretty good but I didn't give it too much thought because that type of roles are easy to pull off with an average acting, you need to be really bad to mess it up. But here, damn, she's hitting all the notes and expressions right, she's awesome. I don't get the "haters" logic but when someone is good,it must be said. If an actor/actress is mediocre, it must be said even if that means to be labeled a hater.
