MuRong till the end is still the man of loyalty and strong principles an he knew his place, he will never cross the line and the only thing he beg of the Emperor is to not hold grudges to his son’s behavior. In this aspect, at least we see the Emperor does have a reasonable side.

Wow, that’s complex. So technically their real identity is swapped. JBZ is Ming clan and Ming Yi is Bo Yulan’s Dg. I am excited to see how this truth play out.
