My long rant above…hahahah. I must feel a lot from this drama, hardly write such long a comment😅.

In the novel, after JinRui made her pregnant, she was force to have an abortion, then she ran back to find her parents, which they send her back home again (in drama it’s that scene that you see her being slapped by her Mom). Then she develops depression and started to fall for all the wrong guys, then she contacted AIDs, which makes her depression worsen, so she finally committed suicide through poisoning.
I don’t know whether the drama will change these plots. So far they have change BeiYu’s abortion to miscarriage. So there maybe other changes.

Our girl can really endure a lot, she pushes MingSheng away, as she said she doesn’t want to be burdened by him (more of she doesn’t want to also burden him and disrupt his plan in life). He kept saying it’s his choice, but she knew he will time and time come to her rescue which she doesn’t want. So she used the worst line to push him away, “I hate you…”
She has decided to stay behind seeing how her parents suffered and took the courage to face them instead of running. QingYu will continue to grow to be stronger, she is learning her parents’ endurance, and what they value. She empathize with them, and she knew they do care for her a lot, so she chooses not to run away and instead to stay on.
Her mom also told her, when she goes Uni., she can be on her own, which makes her more determined to complete her studies. One part I missed which I haven’t seen in drama is QingYu’s writing skills, she is very expressive with words and she used it as her outlet. They inly show the article about her feelings towards family, but she wrote a lot more.
She wrote about MuMu’s situation, she confessed her love to MingSheng via writing anonymously which he knew. She wrote about her jealousy towards MuMu and his relationship too. So I hope this drama don’t take that part out.

Okay…I am catching up with ep 14-15 then can continue 16-17 later…that tree scene, when I read it, didnt feel so emotional but seeing it played out😭😭😭 Feel so heart wrenching for both MingSheng and QingYu…Will comments my thoughts in a while, need a moment.

In the novel, is the last chapters. 2 additional epilogue of their happy married life with adult kids. Not sure about here, but I am keeping hopeful.

Hahhaha…like you I want to go back to 17 yrs old and the innocent love at first sight but not the high school experiences😅.

I saw that scene, and my heart felt so sad for MingSheng😭😭😭. At that moment even though I feel he understands why QingYu say that and did that, it still hurts a lot as he again feels abandoned.

I am excited too;). Yup, hence I don’t understand why some people can say that this show is boring. I felt that this story has more complexity then most other cdrama I watched lately. I encourage you to pick up the novel, it’s an easy read. When I read it, I actually felt different about the characters. I like so far how this drama is showing the characters’ arc.

We will have to watch to the end to know how this drama explain it. Very often it may be about FL being in a dream.🤷🏻‍♀️

In the novel, it was was never clear and left unexplored of her intention. You can speculate that MuMu may have havast feelings for ML but she also never confess to him. Or she grew up with ML, and maybe she always feels her relationship with ML is exclusive and he will always be there for her and now with him having a love interest, it could be her selfishness or jealousy. Or if you understand MuMu’s character, she is a person who is always about doing the right thing, so rationally she felt FL is too young to commit in relationship with ML, so she advised against it. However till the very end, MuMu is always seen as a good friend to FL. MuMu’s complexity as a character, is also interesting to me.

Ah thanks for clarifying. I recall so, ML confessed to FL, he told MuMu. MuMu advises FL not to accept. Got it. No worry about the chapters.

Sorry, which chapter is that ML confess to MuMu? When you use confess, it can easily mistaken that he confess his love to MuMu. But what I recall ML never love MuMu in that way?

Not really, she will grow stronger and more resilience and wiser in making decision. let’s see how they do this here, i am eager to see her growth.

So far the essence of this drama is very close to the book, only sequence of events have some minor changes. So finger crossed that we get the epilogue being shown too;)

I get it now, this drama is a parody of all the c drama cliche tropes put together in one show…hilariously funny🤣🤣🤣.

At the last chapter, chapter 61. There are two additional epilogue narrating about their happy marriage with grown up children.
