It’s really exciting to see how Qian Hong Chu work through his decision on realizing on how to subdue and tolerate Hu Jin Si…I feel very sad on what happened to Shui Qiu’s family what a tragic death😥😥😥 He could really make a suitable loyal subject to guide Qian Hong Chu. That old man needs to be coaxed and convinced that he is tolerated because of Wu Yue and but it stops there, no more killing…well said Qian Hong Chu.

I have seen CXX’s past dramas, BTS and interviews. But here with Wang Yu Wen, he is so relax and spontaneous especially when they build up their friendships at WtW.
It’s probably just me…don’t get me wrong, I do love the CP development between Qian Hong Chu and Sun Tai Zhen, however whenever they are both on screen doing their scenes, I just felt like I am watching a different and more modern drama, then when it’s cut to other scenes, I am back to the show again😓😓😓.

Thus far this drama has done well with the story telling and editing on such chaotic part of history. It may seem confusing in the beginning, especially for those viewers who didn’t have the background info. on this part of history, but it’s still okay, as if one watch closely and follow the plot, the story will unfold itself. Sometimes not knowing much may be good, as there are quite many characters’ design are written and added in by the writer here. Although the main events had happened, the writer has manage to wean in the colours of the characters portrayed. This drama maybe a challenge for non Chinese speakers or even for some who may understand Chinese as it’s written in traditional Chinese language that requires one to research and understand the context that it’s spoken. So I am glad there are lots of helpful commenters here that could clarify some of these deep dialogue 😅.
The creators were pretty brave only spending 5-10 second making sure the censors are satisfied 🤣😬
This is the most easiest and convenient method, think I have seen it in a couple of dramas now. So anything magical and involved transmigration that needs explanation, let’s add that scene. 🤣🤣🤣
They make you think 1999 is a novel story…but then 2025 is also a script being written…the script writer probably will say, “Got you! it’s all fictional and magical…”😅
