DiLun was beheaded on the spot by Gu Zheng after he admitted to the deed that happened 15yrs ago, in front of Zhao couple. Then in ep 6, it’s revealed further that Gu Zheng’s conversation with ZBY, shows that he knew the mastermind but the person is too powerful and will take sometime to bring him to justice. So they carried on to next case.
First case will be from ep 1 - 5, nice closure but leading to bigger things eventually, and the second case starts at ep 6…on demon cat hat…I find it funny when they name it demon cat hat???!!! Why does cat always associate with demon or evil? Not marking this as spoiler as nothing to spoil here;)

It would been better done if all this while we didn’t see his dilemma in relation with his father, instead the drama shows how he has been always align with his father on all actions, then the switch makes better sense.
