Yup, earlier series both Wu Xie and Zhang QiLin were always young actors. So quite refreshing to have Edward Zhang here.

The main aim is to show off MianTang’s wits and making her presence being slowly receive by her MIL. He Zhen and the doctor’s relationship arc is cute;)

Starting this, so many ep out, can catch up over weekend. Saw only one series of the Tomb Raiders, so this is a sequel and we are searching for our hero’s origin. A little odd to see Edward Zhang as Wu Xie.

You are not wrong to say there is a similar trope used, swimming profession and time capsule. But that’s also very common trope for lots of drama. But the biggest difference here for me is their childhood friendship and CP chemistry, as well as storyline progression. Hope you enjoy this;)

Yup, she remembers but he doesn’t. This drama tries to achieve the show but don’t tell. Using the same child actors for ML and FL, to show they met when young. This is applied to the second CP too.

Yes, I do want to see from FL’s perspectives, she knew him during childhood but now seems to only dislike him because of his title. Hope they show and clarify her feelings about him soon. I am also surprise on how good Ding YuXi is portraying this character. Although I have issues with the messy plot and story, I am able to see past that and continue this.
