I had a strong feeling it will be a rush ending. Won’t spoil you, but ep 11 left me a little unsatisfied, felt some plots could be given more time for explanation. So let’s see how today’s ep will end:)

Just some thoughts on your qns: 1) Yup, seems like people are aware of the meteor, but no major event happened, just was explained that it sung into the sea. Indeed disbelief on how it never cause much waves. But I suspected that’s when some superstitious people will start to form Heng Sect., thinking it’s a sign from God. 2. Shen Ring returned to the village 2 yrs ago, post war, similar time where CSY was there, although not explained, I don’t think CSY’s arrival to the village was too far a timeline from SHen Rong’s return. It seems to explain only 2 yrs ago the Heng sect discover that SR’s wife is one of the rare one that can control the monster. It was also hinted that whatever it was, had been dormant till events starts to act out 2 yrs ago where fishes were infected and villages are infected fishes and turned. 3. This point was not explained at all. But we know all events worsen 2yrs ago. And CSY’s infection was not mentioned too. Hopefully today we will have answers.
Same here!TVB 1980s are still the best! The entire coming Jin Yong universe remakes by Tencent will be like Sakra…
I will be staying far away from this new remakes. Can’t tolerate especially if these remake deviates too far from original story and tried too hard to be over creative.
Thank you for another insightful review, as always gave me an idea on whether should I checked this out. I decided I wouldn’t. The only and best version of Jin Yong’s adaptation of this story is the Hong Kong 1982 series, I grew up with that and cannot get myself to see other version. lol!

Ep 11, really when the two kids were caught and got away so easily, I am like🤦🏻♀️, what’s the point of that scene of them being caught in the first place? So they can stand in the cliff and tell Chu SiJing their plot before they got away again. So final ep tomorrow.

Agreed. Hopefully this one have better kiss. I may be wrong, I saw comments in past said that it always seems that Zhang RuoNan appeared more stiff in kiss scenes. So let’s see.
Two CXX’s drama aired around same time…. my eyes, my sleep, my work production will all drop…but I am not complaining. This one feels more angsty than the other drama, ‘My Boss’.
