Not a personal opinion, I love Zhang Zhe’s character. But in this story, it’s written that way, which thinking about it. I do see how that make sense for this story to make JXN choose XW in the end. Maybe JXN need a next life to choose correctly.

Oh really! I missed this conversation in the drama. So that’s the author’s intention to draw that connection in her different writings? Totally agreed with you, that turns me off too about this drama as Li Cheng yin is a terrible character, and now looking at Li Ni and Cui Li, can’t help wonder what happened to their good values and wits…maybe too busy fighting each other to be a good parents.
