Not trying to defend but just sharing perspectives. I think a few commenters here acknowledge that CWD is not a guy without flaw and he is brutal in his own way, and of course he has his bigger agenda in mind. But I won’t call him a A-hole or douchbag. He sees and understand how Bai family treated MX, hence he has been reminding MX not to sacrifice for BFY. The shed situation was BFY insisted to be there, if you follow the scene. Ignoring them, I don’t think that was intentional as he has to deal with war with WJG, hence wasn’t able to manage MX. The force marriage was not his intention, May want to re-watch on his intention. I don’t think he ever wanted to force them to die but MX stage the whole thing to bargain with him. And forcing on MX, I don’t think so, if he is that scumbag, he would have done it already at the wedding night, why would he needs to back off. Abusive? I guess that’s depend how you see it, he was teasing her a lot but I wouldn’t label it as abusive. Or maybe the kiss, but I feel if MX has resisted further, would he pursue? He has asked MX clearly at the bargain that whether she chooses to marry and she was certain it’s a yes. We will never know his choice if MX didn’t stage that bargain but then again I guess it’s seeing the whole perspective.

You raised a few interesting point, which is what I was thinking when I started this series. But I think one can’t be logical in a fantasy story. I was also wondering with her vast history of many lives, one wouldn’t think falling in love and fixated in that one love make any sense. And why fixation at this particular love? And not the rest of the love lives? If you have live through so many sufferings, wouldn’t you want to do more things with your life then just waste it on falling in love…lol! Or at least that’s IMO, my logical mind.

Yeah, it quite suffering to live through every life journey of pain, and then to relive another cycle again and again. That’s suffering.

Interesting premise of the story, re-born and yet retained memories and learning, literally like a person who wouldn’t die and can keep coming back to live life as different person. Good life fortunate if terrible life, that’s misery. So her soul must be few century old.

Just started ep 1., have not watch K drama for a while. I must say I always like Shin Hye Sun, but haven’t seen her drama for a long time. She is so sassy as here😍.
