The core story and the essence of the characters are close enough to the original novel. The main plot are still following accordingly. The darkness and some events were re scripted for this drama. It make sense and then can pass censorship. I don’t think some of the tortured scenes in novel can be blatantly filmed.

Yes. Very true. She wasn’t sure how it will work out but also in ep 22, after TTJ confessed, her internal dialogue was she will follow him till the end. Shows that she is definitely in love with him. No easy way so I guess her sacrifice at the end of this arc is by far her way of wanting him to lead a normal life. I am mentally preparing for that scene😅.
It must be so tough for YXW/LSS, falling in love with someone that she knew she has to kill eventually. So even YXW/LSS thought of wanting to tell him the truth, but I doubt that it will really do him good knowing her intention.

He has the evil bone, so as long it’s in him, a lot of destiny issues may influence him. Hence when he control YXW to stab XL, she will realised ultimately what she has to do.
My POV: he saw YXW still tries to rescue XL and in order to show her that she should only solely belongs to him only. He control her to stab XL. He is ultimately still twisted in that way because of his evil bone. Hence force YXW to realise she needs to take her move.
