True…LX was doing what he thought to protect ZY from his self-destructive action. And yes, later his behaviour was driven by jealousy.

I like all their couple bickering moments. And yes! Their confession, ep 18 and 35.

Just to reminisce….what’s your favorite scene or line for this drama?

Definitely it’s LX who falls for ZY first.! It was a surprise for me to hear at ep 35, that LX has to scheme and plot for ZY to be closed to him and made her fell for him…hahaha. And rewatching at the ep again, it’s more obvious that LX has always treat ZY in a special way from the beginning.

You will realised from the day after the hot spring, their relationship has been closer although not spoken in words. LX is slowly softening and opening up to be more upfront of his affection for ZY. They started more like couple interaction till ep 35 when LX saw ZY’s action, he decided not to hold back anymore. As for ZY, she was still unsure about LX’s affection to her at that point as he has always knew how to be cold and put a wall, till he confessed, would she feels it’s real. The subtle ness of their romance were often expressed in behaviour and not so much words, that made it so real to watch:).

It’s a belief that at our death bed and dying moment, we may see flashbacks of our live. So to LX it can be interpreted that ZY will be the last and only person he sees before he dies.

Agreed with you on this. The subtle proposal scene presented in ep 36, feels more consistent to the character.

My take: At age 17, he noticed this girl, world apart, so fortunate and happy. Yet she was kind. He was curious. Hence he told his sister he will never gave in to fate. Then she appears in his life, caught his attention and her perseverance and courage drawn him more to her. I felt the rooftop scene where she slept outside was the first time he soften his heart for her and the liking grows. So he plot to get her closer to him…hahaha which we only found out at ep 35. Scheming guy even in love.

ZY is deeply drawn to LX’s sureness of himself and once he decided, he will see it through and also accept the consequences without fear. Although LX appears impulsive in some decision, it feels that he has calculated and accepted the results hence he tried to push her away when he knew he will go prison. LX is attracted to ZY’s naive, pure view, direct and courageous as well as also persevering what she believes in. Both are similar in that obsession in their life goals.

JXZ - ZY’s childhood friend is also an almost perfect man😊

Interesting discussion here. My personal opinion…I felt that GZH turned to such extreme likely also driven by guilt. As he was the one who revealed to FZJ about LX’s sister and indirectly cause a chain reaction and her death. So felt GZH couldn’t let go and had to keep going the other way hence he asked at the bed scene, “has LX ever regrets.”

Kept watching. I find the characters have some realism…hahaha. Sure have met such people in my life.
