I really enjoy LDW in darker/more serious dramas, so I find this to be a natural progression as he matures. He was excellent in Life and A Shop for Killers. I hope he'll continue to take on more challenging roles and show his versatility.
Episodes 2 was so cute and cozy! I like how we get to be inside Suzumeās head as he express his thoughts and observations. We get to fall in love with Keishi right alongside him lol. Iām ngl, I really liked their simple ādate.ā Walking together to buy the machine and ingredients and then cooking and eating together was really sweet. Itās also fun watching Keishi take the lead despite being Suzumeās subordinate. What he reveals about Suzume shows heās been watching him for a long time.
Keishi is definitely Togawa 2.0. Itās like seeing an old friend!
That co-worker with the bowl cut needs a trip to HR. He resides in a perpetually thirsty state!
Another inspirational comfort drama? Sign me up! I had rewatched Old Fashioned Cupcake and hoped something similar would air soon. The plot is quite relatable as time has passed and I find myself not really āliving.ā I lost my sense of adventure and live each day the same.𤣠I look forward to learning from Suzumeās journey . His bucket list is looking good so far, and so is his kohaii!š
Iāve never seen someone so excited to get a medical shot in the rear.š That scene made me chuckle. Suo Wei has really come to relish Chi Chengās embrace! I had to go back and rewatch episode 8 because episode 9 had so much romantic development from Suo Weiās perspective. I thought I had missed something lol. Then I rewatched episode 9 after that. It was so good!
Thada is laying it on thick and Iām going back for seconds and thirds: - āYou are my greatest gift (in perfect English).āš - āMy money is your money.āš¤ - Getting emotional about Arminās present timeline death.š„ŗ - Sharing his backstory and his rise to boss mode, running those rats out of his daddyās company!š - Giving Armin the deepest, most affectionate Disney Prince looks of love.
If I were Armin, that little apartment would become the first Airbnb in 1999, and Iād be moving into Thadaās mansion and finding out his last name so I can hyphenate it with mine!š
Thadaās phone call during the bridge scene solidified for me that heās my favorite character in life, overcoming the once incomparable Wen Kexing (Word of Honor). Heās been so sweet and an advocate to Armin for two lifetimes, both by his side and from the shadows.š„° And this man keeps his hair LAID and his suits PRESSED!
Rewatching all the Cha Yeon/Scarlett scenes. To me, she was always the lead character and stole the show. Her romance was also the most compelling. She was likable and aspirational overall, whereas the other two women were dry and boring. Cha Yeon really shouldāve been the main protagonist. She had a rich background and spark!
I never understood LJSās charms until his passionate, unhinged performance in Decibel. In that moment, it hit me and I thought, āNow itās time to watch more of his work!ā I love dramas surrounding office professionals because theyāre so relatable and cathartic. Iām hopeful about this drama! Love Scout set the bar insanely high for me.
he literally got cheated on by his boyfriend with his best friend of 20+ years⦠and on top of that, he was killed…
That's an interesting theory. I'm still lost on why TD stayed hidden in the present timeline versus readily approaching Armin in the past timeline. This makes me curious about what happened with him and Narin in the present since Armin wasn't directly a factor.
I felt like Lily hated that Armin couldn't be controlled and wouldn't sell himself to sponsors, unlike Achi. If she could've profited off selling Armin to sponsors, I wonder if she'd be singing a different tune. Armin had a tight web of enemies around him, so I wouldn't be surprised if Lily and Narin became co-conspirators. Narin could switch sides to Venus to work with Thada's brother for the ultimate revenge.

Yes! I was shocked myself. It wasnāt clear in the beginning how Sam and Charlie couldāve gotten aquatinted. Charlie had strong creep vibes at his studio.
Narin is a good guess! I feel like heās more than a bit character. If he was willing to sell himself for success, surely he wouldnāt give up Thada to Armin so easily and would feel bitter.

I agree.š He got dropped into the past timeline expeditiously and never had time to process or heal. Plus, heās confused why it happened and has to face his betrayers immediately. It would be hard not to talk about it, and Thada is the one person who listens without judgment, despite how crazy Armin sounds.
Armin is in inter-dimensional psychosis and distress while Charlie is like, āYes! Beautiful! This is art! More! Get out of my shot, Ren.āšø Meanwhile, petty Ren decides, āIām going to āCarrieā this heffa,ā and his attempt only elevates Arminās photos more.š„
Can we just give the stylist their flowers???š These fits theyāre putting together, especially for Ren and Armin, are top tier! Itās the 90s at its finest. The flashbacks of Armin in that merlot asymmetrical suit is still giving life. Piano Fingers just HAD to ruin the moment.
First (Ren) deserves a Dior, Prada, and YSL campaign deal for simply existing! The camera and clothes love him.

I wasnāt expecting the serious turn! This movie was absolutely hilarious and had depth as well. The cast had excellent chemistry and comedic timing. It was hard seeing men hit women with no real consequences though. I think the main takeaway from the plot is be content. The grass isnāt always greener on the other side.
