I wasn’t expecting the serious turn! This movie was absolutely hilarious and had depth as well. The cast had excellent chemistry and comedic timing. It was hard seeing men hit women with no real consequences though. I think the main takeaway from the plot is be content. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

A classic indeed!🤣 I’m back rewatching after all these years. I love how seamlessly they wove the romance, comedy, crime, suspense and thriller genres so seamlessly. That’s no easy feat! I remember watching this a couple times when it first came out and laughing until I cried but also finding the crime plot bone-chilling. It’s so good! I somehow had a bias for ~Guk Du-yaaaah~. This was my first time seeing a SML who acted more like an ML, i.e. cold and emotionally unavailable.😩 I was hoping he’d warm up.

Completely agree! I plan to rewatch this as well. I couldn’t stand the second couple and completely forgot about them these 8ish years later. I will surely be skipping their scenes!

It’s been five years and I’m still irked by this drama. We could’ve had it all. This drama was top tier in the making until they shoehorned that dusty, self-centered and petty uncle as the SML. In what world would he ever be a contender???? The writers wasted all of our time by introducing him and screwing up the plot and flow. There was no need for a love triangle, and in this case, it was just a triangle. No love detected. FL really irritated me. She acted like a little girl, not a grown woman. ML had more maturity and sense than she did, despite being the younger one.

I’m really contemplating rewatching this. I loved it the first time. I’m in a drama dry spell and want something thrilling, inspiring, and fun and this one hits the spot!

That stubble looked like a combination of hair clippings and Elmer’s Glue and being slapped on the face with a smattering handful of it. Sorn was down bad.😮‍💨

I have the book but never got around to reading it. The film is eye-opening and thought-provoking. Marriage and motherhood in many societies are often promoted as the greatest achievement for a woman and that nothing could fulfill her more than having a husband and children. The film shows how much women sacrifice in these roles and the toll they can take when she’s not supported and doesn’t have the freedom to have a purpose beyond those roles. We also see how boys and men are paraded as prizes and see girls and women as something to degrade and control. Those who support women are looked down upon, such as the men who take paternity leave.

ML was a kind husband, although he didn’t think of FL when it came to family planning, which was irritating. Also, as he saw FL deteriorating, he could’ve helped out more with the chores and child-rearing.

Wow. This was NOT what I was expecting. Talk about exploring moral gray areas! I loved this movie, and I was also heartbroken about the truth and the lives lost on the submarine.

I lost sympathy for Do Yeong as the truth unfolded. I understand he was in an impossible situation, but men were never called to play God, and that’s what I feel he did on that submarine, especially when it came down to the brothers. Why the no swap stipulation? What does swapping have to do with the end result? If a person is willing to give up their life for another, especially an older brother wanting to save his younger brother, that should be honored. Honestly, the whole thing was unfair. They should’ve all accepted their fate together. Ultimately, Do Yeong should’ve made it an order for the new father (Lee Min Ki) to live and he take his short string and perish with the others. As the leader, he should’ve laid his life down as he ordered the others to do and allow the brothers to switch places on account of being family.

I’ve never been a fan of Lee Jong Suk, but he impressed me and won me over with this role. Never did I ever think pairing him up with Cha Eun Woo to play brothers would make such a deep impact. They portrayed brotherhood in such a natural, beautiful way, and they looked like two handsome, strapping real-life brothers. That scene when the younger was resting his head on the older’s lap while the older held him as they awaited their fate was so sweet. I wish we could’ve seen more of their relationship. I’d love to see these two team up again as close brothers!

My man, Lee Min Ki never disappoints. He’s exceptional in every role he takes. I love his versatility. His role was smaller but no less impactful!

Armin actually being testy about a positive change in the timeline is sending me!🤣 “How dare my amazing manager who had my back in the present timeline help me leave this litterbox of an agency?!”

I was in a bit of a drama hole as I watched series that are currently airing and had to wait a week for each episode. I wanted something funny and interesting, and this foots the bill. I’m glad to see in the comments that there’s minimal to no romance. I don’t really see romance as a fit for this drama, and FL is too immature for ML, and it’s not cute.😅 I’m more focused on the case and what’s happening with ML’s “school friends” and cousin.

Looks like the dreaded long lost friend trope may be in play, which I loathe. Do any adults meet for the first time in dramas? Hopefully it doesn’t dominate the plot.

I considered that but my thinking is Armin hadn’t met Charlie yet at this point in his past, therefore Thada could be rooting him out early to prevent them from linking up again and ultimately betraying Armin once more. Just a theory. In certain scenes Thada seems too aware, so that’s why I have suspicions.

This is interesting! I’m so mad at Medusa gēge cuddling with these snakes like puppies and wearing them like bracelets.🤣 I don’t appreciate these dusty uncles beating up on our kind Suo Wei. The doctor should’ve added kungfu lessons to his glow-up prescription.😅

Thada has me feeling like he’s resetting too but has a better poker face about it. Poor Armin acts like an out-of-state auntie 7 years later at a family reunion when they see their nieces and nephews who have no memory of her and she hugs them and exclaims, “You’ve gotten so big! Do you know who I am?” No, we don’t!🤣 Janine was like, “Okay, hunny. Gon’ home.”

Pharit really is petty boots over the park incident. It didn’t take all that. It’s not that deep, buddy. Sam irks me!!! I’m ready for Armin to stomp him out now so he isn’t even a factor in the present world. He’s leeching off him in two lifetimes!

Armin plugging in his little Cusinart electric skillet on the floor had me in tears.🤣 Thada was like, “Wait a minute now!” I really wanted to see him chopping up those tomatoes at the desk! It was too cute how Thada was keeping the beer Armin gave him as a keepsake. This is why I believe he’s in reset too. His feelings are too deep and sentimental to only have just met.

I really need someone to talk to Lily about her hygiene. Last week her drawls were touching the bathroom floor, now this week her shorts are on the floor and she’s taking calls with unwashed hands. Honestly, why do we have to keep seeing her like this?🤢

I hope Crown crushes Venus for our boy’s sake! And yeah, Thada, pull up on Charlie too! End it before it can even get started. He’s not killing Armin twice!😭

Ah, now I get it. Thanks for breaking this down! I was over here completely dumbfounded.😮‍💨 The wild part is that he’s shown zero regard for Thai all this time and now Thai’s the reason for his questionable behavior. My goodness.

I’m struggling to follow “Sorn Math.”
If he has a trauma about the age gap due to what happened with the girl from the neighborhood, then why on earth would he have a physical relationship with Jun but be too afraid of a romantic relationship because of the age difference? It seems backwards to me. Wouldn’t it be the other way around? Wouldn’t he absolutely NOT want physical contact? And why does he blame younger people for his self-control issues? I know we wouldn’t have a series, or it would be about Thai/Champ if this was addressed logically, but wouldn’t it have made more sense if he wanted zero contact or romance and presented himself as purely a big bro and over time the relationship develops into something more? Am I missing something here?😅

As I wait for episode 3 of Reset, I started watching this. I always passed it on Viki, but it has a high rating there and I like office dramas. So far, I’m not disappointed! The chaotic Cher and chic Gun make for fun interactions as opposites without feeling forced. Jack is so cute. I love that a leather jacket was part of his office attire.

I finished it in two days! I’ve watched hundreds of dramas and this has taken the crown as my absolute favorite. It’s funny, comforting, inspiring, and exciting! I have zero complaints and would change nothing. Unlike other dramas from the 2010s and back, they didn’t sanitize the various forms of domestic abuse. I had my concerns going into it, but they were eliminated. The development of the friendships and characters was fantastic. This is the most satisfying ending apart from the Glory!

This drama is totally my cup of tea! I don't think I would've appreciated it enough had I watched in 2017 when I limited myself to mainly rom-coms. All three ladies are incredibly lovable and relatable in different ways. I admire their budding sisterhood and hope to have rich friendships like theirs as time goes on.

I can't stand these trashy husbands! Byeong Su and Gramps being so proud he had an outside son is absolutely trash behavior! I hate how business is prioritized above family. Mi Sook's husband curb stomping her like he's Seth Rollins set me off! The "white truck of doom" never hits the right characters in dramas.😅

Soramame is effervescent! I adore her bright personality and expressive speech. I’m one episode in and like this drama so far. I wanted to watch something about changing course in life and pursuing something new.
