“Did you see a woman up here by chance? Her shoulders and glutes are very developed.” What the missing person report!🤣 Hyeong Jung said forget eye color and height, we can identify Mi Ran by muscle definition. I love the writers!
Product placement that finally makes sense! They’ve won me over with that seasoned microwave chicken breast.🤤 I can seriously see myself plopping that in for a quick post-workout snack lol.
Such a tangled web of deceit! I enjoy morally gray dramas like this. There are no heroes, just flawed humans seeking justice for what they deem wrong. However, there’s a catch- what looks like justice to one is an assault to another. Everyone is connected, and we get to see the thread unravel in this story.
ML earned my appreciation with this role. Before this, I considered him another pretty idol who got by on their looks and popularity, but he did a good job here. I liked his performance. Honestly, he does dubious characters well. I’d like to see him play more dark and complex roles.
Let's be honest. This is a comedy with layers. You really don't know people until you take the time to connect with them on a genuine level. I really enjoyed Seong Im's side story. She really makes the best of things! It was nice seeing Mi Ran's sister doing something new. I like her better in that world.
I wish Mi Ran would pop her shady coworker with that yellow resistance band.😅 She's insufferable and so hateful to our girl, but Mi Ran holds her own!
Roy knows that while his gym is top tier in design, his PT is terrible!😂 "Hell Club" may be musty, but you'll get results lol.
If that bagel place is real, I'm going! That pesto cream cheese looks angelic! I would've melted down too. Carbs!💖
This drama a trope is old as time but done in a fresh way! I’m halfway through the series and loving it. I’m glad I put it on hold until it ended because watching weekly would’ve been torture. SFL is my favorite. She’s bold and confident yet laid back. I like how the tables have turned on SML. The misunderstandings between the main couple are getting annoying though. If they would just TALK, we could bypass a lot. However, I’m watching from the perspective of a culture that has a direct communication style.
I never got a chance to watch this movie. It’s excellent and has aged well. I always bask in the glow of bullies getting royally humbled. You never see ML's kicks and punches coming!
T.O.P will always be my favorite. I enjoy his artistry and love him in this movie. I hope he can forgive himself and pursue music, acting, and whatever else he wants to do, unapologetically.
Is the gym member who fights the weight machines, screaming and jerking the equipment on every rep, Dong Hyun Bae (Taeyang's brother)?😆 He looks like him and his chaotic behavior looks similar to how Hyun Bae portrayed his character in Hit the Top. I checked the cast and didn't see him credited, but sometimes an actor does make an appearance and aren't credited. Does anyone know? Anyway, I want more scenes of whoever this is, because what the fat is he trying to achieve in these violent workouts lol?
Can I just say that I appreciate the diversity in the looks of the cast? I like seeing leads with features more reflective of the general population. They look beautiful! We have different shapes, sizes, and ages, and everyone is living vibrantly. The Ajumma Gang come to the gym for community and then enjoy good food together- no body shaming or ageism. That’s how it should be!❤️
"I-I go to a church nearby!" [Revs up power drill]😂 That whole scene had me cackling! Lee Jun Young better win a Baeksang Award next year for Best Actor and whatever else his role is eligible for.
Now I know what drama this vibe is reminiscent of: Strong Girl Bong Soon! I remember crying from laughing so hard and enjoying the hilarious chemistry and interactions between the leads.
R.O.Y. is the national treasure no one wanted but whom I adore. The way he randomly pops up and talks trash with that big grin is a hoot. He got humbled this time.😂 His face is a mix of 2010s GD and Suju's Sungmin. I love it.
Rosa is really cute. She's so darn likeable that you want to root for her. Her subplot is interesting to me.
Can I just say how much I love ML? He really cares about the health and well-being of others. Plus he's hilarious. I like how they focused on the physical changes from training that aren't aesthetic, like functional strength.
Although the plot is about FL getting in shape, it's nice that the focus is on her journey of self-discovery and love rather than doing makeovers and showing herself off. It's really inspiring!
Ngl the Roy Gym owner is a tragic mess, and I enjoy every minute of it. The rivalry and pettiness are chef's kiss. I hope we get to know "Lady Bug Oppa."😂
Does FL's sister and her man have jobs or go to school? They're just out here doing to the most lol.
Does no one in fictional Japan know the risks of boxing? Any contact sport can result in death or disability. That's the risk athletes knowingly take, and they must sign waivers to train and compete. Kairi didn't use any illegal punches. Daichi's death was an unfortunate accident. I understand being shocked and heartbroken, but to act like Kairi murdered him with a standard uppercut in a sanctioned match is ridiculous. They don't need to wish him well, but sabotaging and cursing him is unfair.
This drama has been a lesson about moving in silence. Not everyone who's around you is always for you. Sometimes it's good to keep your plans to yourself and also read between the lines when it comes to people's words and actions. Nade and Satoru showed a few yellow flags before being revealed as two-faced.
Kairi needs to focus on healing. He's very toxic and has a martyr complex due to PTSD and guilt. He's not in a place to be in a serious relationship. He withdraws and runs away when triggered. It's not healthy for the other person. I know Oba is a bit square, but he's very sweet, supportive, and STABLE. He's also responsible and a problem solver. Unfortunately, Hokomi comes from a lineage of thirsty women and chooses charming, toxic partners. I hope Oba goes to Yui. She'll treasure him.
Satoru and Nade are such slanderous gossipers. They really attracted each other with their foul stench. Total snakes. They deserve each other. I wish Hokomi and Kairi would move in silence. Then those two jealous busybodies wouldn't have any information to use for their dirty deeds. Nade had exposed herself . Hopefully Satoru is exposed next!
It was pretty good! The direction surprised me. Those plot holes were as deep as the ocean, but I enjoyed the performance of FL and ML. If you want a complete story with adrenaline pumping suspense and another unsettling murderer character with razor sharp cheekbones and a wicked smile, watch Monster (2014) or Midnight (2021).

Halmeoni is hell in kitten heels!

Mi Ran's Mother, please don't come back.😅
