Healthiest drama I've watched to this day, even the 2nd leads are cute and understanding 😭❤️🩹
Yes! No scheming or toxicity. Green flags all around! What would've been a love square in another drama is a one-sided crush resolved respectfully. This is adulting at its finest!
The soup I made for this episode is hitting! My heart feels so warm listening to Eun Ho in these opening minutes.🥰 He preached a whole word! Ji Yun doesn't need to be perfect. It's okay to look pathetic. What I love about him is that he neither competes with her nor shrinks behind her. He's her covering! If Ji Yun is an eagle, then Eun Ho is her sky.
The tightness of Jeong Hun's blazer at this party is a metaphor for him being an overgrown boy who allows his father to constrict him. #MilkBreadWisdom
"Gochujang" looked like the 9th member of ATEEZ during Wonderland era in that outfit carrying around the giant flag.😂 I'm loving what Ji Yoo, Hee Won, and Gochujang are bringing to the plot. It's fun when the main characters are each lovable in their own way. The casting is very balanced. Hee Won and Se Hyeon's little friendship is cute! I'm glad he's got a buddy who will hang back with him.
I loved Pasin from a Shop for Killers, so I was living for the actor's final boss cameo!
Anime taught me to never trust a cute, playful guy in a bucket hat and earrings. I'm curious about his fighting skills and how he's connected to Han Ul. He reminds me of Key in his early Shinee days. Too adorable to do crime! Somebody stop him.
I can't wait to get more backstory on Gochujang and Geon Yeop's pasts.
These student ages are all over the place!😂 Somebody is lying! Are some of them undercover cops lol?
The overall plot is multilayered and unfolding thrillingly!
Gyu Jin "Oppa" is giving Gyu Jin Ahjussi. Why ar you looking like a tenured teacher with a wife of 12 years, children, and a mortgage? The "Hyunjin" half ponytail and pink lip gloss aren't hiding anything.😂 I know the CSAT is tough, but dang! If it's been 15 years, just graduate with a GED and open a chicken restaurant.😅
I can't wait for this workday to end, so I can swoon over our main couple and sneer at Jeong Hun's dusty father! Love Scout is my Friday ritual. I don't think any ML will ever reach how well written and played Eun Ho is. This entire production has set my expectations to the moon for future romance dramas. Gems like this are rare, and Love Scout is the best yet!
EDIT: Postponed?😭 I planned all week to have a Love Scout/Study Group Double Feature and eat chocolate Valentine heart candies.😮💨
I thought he's a good man from the way he treats her in the past episodes, but he's totally the opposite. I just…
These are all good points! I forgot that I did fast forward on some of that old man's scenes in later episodes out of irritation once he started meeting with that evil CEO. I just feel like this subplot distracts from the main story rather than enhance it. Although, I did enjoy seeing Eun Ho stand up for Ji Yun while sputtering Jeong Hun choked on his words.
I'm crying at School Boy Henchman #2 on this rooftop wearing his rimmed hat, racing jacket, and auntie special occasion dangling earrings like he's gotta go film a performance on Inkigayo with GD after he finishes bullying this boy.😭
it was an great episode today. but am I the only one who is afraid of her knowing about the fire and all it is…
Yes, because she resents her father for risking his life for someone else and leaving her orphaned. She even called him a bad father when the flashbacks show us otherwise. I'm sure finding out that her father died saving Eun Ho will rock her. After getting over the shock of it and taking time to process it all, she'll reach the conclusion that her father's sacrifice gave her the man she loves and cant imagine living without. In a full circle moment, her father gave her a family to walk the rest of her life journey with.
Where do I begin? Episode 8 was poetry in motion! Our forever single workaholic and seven-years-celibate single father were all lovey dovey and giggly. The secret hand-holding, caresses, and that very sultry kiss on Eun Ho's hand in the office had me squealing. And Eun Ho-ssi, what exactly were you planning when you took it upon yourself to start closing the blinds in Ji Yun's office lol? The balcony scene was EVERYTHING! Although, I was scared about Eun Ho sitting on the edge and toppling over from so high up.
I'm so pleased with Ji Yun checking that busybody, Mi Ae. Eun Ho is Mi Ae's friend and she's talking reckless about him basically being damaged goods because he's a single father? Are you so great because your husband didn't leave you with a baby to raise alone? I understand that Korean society is very conservative and traditional in this way about marriage and family, but when it's your friend, you need to challenge that thinking. Eun Ho is a wonderful person. His child is a blessing, not a flaw. Furthermore, being orphaned is also looked down upon in Korean society. So according to Mi Ae's logic, Ji Yun is really no better than Eun Ho.
That secondary office couple are too cute! I'm rooting for them. That secret hand squeeze in the break room was too precious!
Shout-out to all the working mom's trying to balance it all! This episode hit on some serious social issues and antiquated thinking. I loved Eun Ho advocating for her and pivoting their approach on recruiting her.
I can't stand that geriatric jerk and I don't like how his goons circled our girl at that party like the hyenas in Lion King. Jeong Hun's weak and fleeting, "Abeoji..." showed us exactly why Ji Yun still sees him as a high schooler and will never choose him. You're a grown man and still scared of your daddy! Stick to the crying beer dates with Su Hyeon! That old kook failed to realize that Ji Yun will forever be THAT GIRL and will never bow like that thirsty pick-me he's grooming. Our Eun Ho stepped up as the Queen's Knight in Shining Armor and shut him down in the most corporate, nasty-nice way. Such a powerful ending!!!! I cannot!!!
This is my comfort show. My weekends revolve around watching it and fangirling/fanboying with all of you here. I don't want it to end!
Thank your writers! Episode 8 is usually when many romance dramas go straight to hell and we contemplate whether to put ourselves out of our misery by dropping it or become gluttons for punishment hoping it gets better. This is literally the healthiest, most non-painful romance drama I've seen. I breathe easily and let myself hope, and I get rewarded with such a beautiful story. There's just enough conflict to keep things interesting without bordering torment.
I'm loving the openness, honesty and transparency between the leads! It's usually the episode before the last that we see any movement, and that's after torturing viewers with misunderstandings and love triangles. This drama is flawless! Please let it be the blueprint for future series.
I like the ending! All in all, I give this drama a 7.5. I adored the plastic surgery center staff and their interactions, and I enjoyed the plot around healing victims of their wounds. It was also thrilling to watch the "mysterious" masked assailant out on the town wreaking havoc, even if the writing around this was botched.
Change the title to, Aoshima-Kun Needs to Stay Home Sometimes! Lord have mercy. Doesn't he have friends??? His whole personality changed. Yukino needs a breather.
Why is he always coming over and she has to cook? Take her out or invite her over for meal. What kind of gainfully employed hobosexual nonsense is this?
My gums ached from the romantic tension! That's when I know it's well done. Once again, another flawless episode. I truly respect Ji Yun's honesty about her feelings and confessing to Eun Ho without obligating him to respond. My interpretation of that is she understands the power imbalance between them and as his direct leader, she's responsible for managing her own feelings . Should Eun Ho share her feelings, then the door is open for him to take that step. And he DID!!!🥰
I believe Eun Ho's hesitation and stifling his feelings in consideration of others is his way of preventing what may have happened in his marriage. His wife left him and Byeol. Perhaps he fears being a burden and also doesn't want to experience that abandonment again. Although it's frustrating to watch, this added conflict and tension really builds up the storyline and the relationship ahead.
Eun Ho's gaze is incredibly penetrating! You can tangibly feel his longing for Ji Yun. Although this drama has romantic tropes and fun comedy, it's a mature romance drama. Those elements help break the tension. I don't think I'd be so desperate between episodes if this drama was melodramatic, because the stress and frustration would take the thrill and anticipation out of it. Sometimes you just "survive" a drama rather than find pleasure in it lol.
It was cute seeing Ji Yun watch Eun Ho from afar and smile, all giddy. How long has it been since she had such innocence and joy? Mi Ae is very dense lol. How is she not picking up on anything??? Jeong Hun is very perceptive despite putting on the easygoing act. I'm glad he got dongsaeng-zoned! Su Hyeon is his perfect match. I really enjoy their interactions. Here's to more beer dates!
I can do without the dirty rival side story. I genuinely don't care about that old man or that corrupt CEO. They're too far outside the main plot. It feels like watching ads for another drama. The main plot is strong enough on its own.
I'm glad that cosmetics couple reconciled! I could tell they were still in love with each other and thought their interactions were cute. Honestly, I think their story would be a fun drama series.
