I see Eun su as one of those people who get caught at the airport for drug trafficking. When you hear their story,…
yeah, desperate people are willing to do anything, even if it means losing themselves. You can literally see how Eun soo is slowly becoming less and less like her usual self, cursing and all as more and more troubles keep hitting her.

That old cop gives me chills every time he shows up, he just has this strong predator vibe. Makes me scared for James and Kang Eun Soo and lowkey rooting for them not to get caught too easily (which sounds so wrong, like why am I even supporting the criminals lol).

The FL? How? Just because she crashed while riding a bicycle? I don’t think so lol
lol definitely not bcs of that bicycle crash. It’s just that she’s had that kinda stomachache a few times in the last episode, which made me think she might also have something going on health-wise. Maybe it’s nothing and I’m just overanalysing, but that’s just the vibe I got.

this drama is definitely heading toward a sad ending, my bet is that both of them will end up going to heaven.
and honestly, the whole “we can’t be together bcs I’m sick” trope is just frustrating to watch.

A slow-paced story isn’t necessarily a weakness, especially in melodramas, where time is needed to delve into the characters and establish the overall mood. However, the way the narrative is delivered is just as important, as it determines whether the audience remains engaged until the end.
In this drama, the storyline so far (up to the recent episodes) lacks impact. While there are some sweet and tragic moments sprinkled throughout, they aren’t strong enough to elevate the overall narrative. SJK’s character is pitiable, yet the emotions fail to resonate, and CWH’s character, though portrayed as cute, hardworking and all, doesn’t offer anything particularly memorable. The chemistry between the leads is present, but there’s no real spark to make their relationship compelling.
For some viewers, the drama’s healing atmosphere may be its main appeal, while for others, it simply won’t suit their taste. As for me, I continue watching more out of boredom, holding on to the hope that the story will eventually improve.

I honestly didn’t know what I was expecting, but the first two episodes turned out way better than I thought. At first, I was only watching for Kim Young Kwang’s face, but the story itself actually pulled me in and now I’m excited for the next episodes. It’s not as straightforward as I predicted (at least so far) and James’s backstory plus his motives got me really curious.
Also, the editing is smooth, the acting is on point, even the side characters and overall it feels like a strong start.

I've never watched any of SJK's dramas, and not gonna lie, I also had a not-so-good impression of him bcs of the rumors. But I still wanted to watch this to see CWH and surprisingly, I actually like SJK's character here. I’m not really thinking about whatever’s related to him in real life, since I can totally focus on and connect with the character. Maybe it’s just because melodramas are my thing and I enjoy that type of character. But yeah, if you’re hesitating bcs of him, just give it a try, you might end up liking it too!

I thought it was a fun flip. The west often claiming eastern knowledge and heritage as if it were their own achievement,…
Oh, I get what you mean, that’s an interesting perspective too!👍🏻

I thought it was a fun flip. The west often claiming eastern knowledge and heritage as if it were their own achievement,…
yeah it’s true, she never said macarons were Joseon food, but the king literally told the Ming envoy, “I also have a special chief royal cook, and the taste of true Joseon food will be available for you to enjoy,” which totally implied she’d be serving Joseon dishes. But since she didn’t know anything about that, I kinda get why she went with macarons instead.

such an interesting thought ✨

I know it’s not that deep, but when she served macarons as a representation of ‘Joseon food’ to the Ming envoy, it really made me chuckle. From the characters’ POV it actually makes sense tho, since they wouldn’t even know what macarons are.

Isn't Gong Myung a little too .....mature to be playing a high school student?
You're right, it's not even about whether he looks like he's in his 20s or younger. It's just that the youthful, teenage glow and vibe in his face aren't there anymore.
On Kim Young Kwang Aug 23, 2025
Can’t believe I didn’t know him at all before Trigger, where have I been during these 10 years of watching dramas 😔
He has such an amazing acting range and he’s so good at it too.
I’ve been binging all his dramas lately and hope to see him in more projects in the future!

It’s silly, cringe, funny, and cute—with all the classic K-drama tropes and honestly, it’s exactly what I needed after almost going bald from pulling my hair out in frustration watching a bunch of heavy thriller/mystery dramas these past few weeks.
I had a good laugh throughout, even though the later part towards the end does get a little boring. Still, overall, it’s a nice, quick watch.
The leads are adorable and funny, and their interactions are just heartwarming at times. I almost never find a k-drama CEO ML cute, but Do Min Ik is a total exception—this man knows how to pout and act cute properly.
The second couple was great too, and Veronica Park? ICONIC.
And really, just don’t think too much or be too critical—it takes the joy away from watching this kind of drama.

Never thought I'd see a day on this platform when C dramas are more watched than K dramas... What exactly is happening…
I think most of the K-dramas produced lately focus less on light, bubbly, or even high-tension romance compared to how they used to. On top of that, the ones airing recently tend to lean more toward action, noir, or heavier topics. On the other hand, with the rise in popularity of C-dramas over the past few years, the hype has shifted more in their favor and with the sheer number of romance dramas the C-drama industry releases, it’s easy for viewers to get hooked.
Personally, I think there are certain aspects where C-dramas can’t surpass K-dramas, and vice versa.

Title Call It Love
just testing out this drama before watching the other Kim Young Kwang's recent dramas and didn't expect to LOVE IT SO MUCH!
It’s probably the most emotionally overwhelming drama I’ve watched in a while and Han Dongjin is the loneliest, calmest character I’ve seen so far. The way he walks and talks—his eyes, his back, his entire aura just screams loneliness.
On The Silence of the Monster Aug 7, 2025
The setting and background of the drama are indeed unique. The filter and color grading also give off a nostalgic vibe. However, those elements aren’t enough to make up for the overall story.
The first few episodes are fun and intriguing, but as the show progresses, there's not much to look forward to. Some of the cases feel far-fetched and illogical. For example, in one early episode, a man asks Robin to help him identify his girlfriend because he thinks she’s an alien, just because she suddenly starts dressing up and acting distant. The way the cases unfold also feels poorly written.
That said, I did enjoy the day-to-day slow life and the friendship between He Chufeng and Robin. Among all the characters, it's impossible not to like Robin. He’s bright, cheerful, optimistic, supportive, and funny—a literal ray of sunshine.
As for the romance, there’s nothing particularly interesting or heart-fluttering (at least for me). It’s just okay.
If you have nothing else to watch and want something mysterious but not too heavy, with a slice-of-life touch, you might want to give this a try.
