I’m not sure if I’m understanding it right but the ML has a mistress outside and another inside the palace and he even has a child with her? Ig this drama isn’t for me
Nothing makes me cringe more than people shipping a couple that’s already divorced. Like, it’s not even a breakup or some imaginary ship. They were married, lived together and despised each other so much that they took legal action. All those ‘resemblance’ edits are just corny
I wasn’t ready for the butt squeezing scene. I didn’t know it was allowed in cdramas. This might be the drama with the most kissing scenes I’ve ever seen.FL was irritating but still didn’t feel too bad for ML maybe because their love story wasn’t developed well. Like, when did he even start liking her? I felt extremely bad for Mao Yin tho. Everything she did was just for survival. She was abused by her birth mother in childhood, treated harshly by her stepmother and mother while growing up and then again by her lover. It was just tragic. But I liked that the story didn’t stay stuck in one place. It kept moving forward.
for me 2016 dramas are generic , but i guess u are more into romance too... while i dont watch must of been good…
It’s not entirely true. While I do prefer light dramas, I try other genres as well but most of them have been pretty mid this year. Even if they started off great, the endings or plot twists were completely underwhelming and predictable. Honestly, 2016 dramas aren’t my favorites either but what I meant is that after 2016, dramas changed a lot and overall they became much better than before
2025 feels like a curse for Kdramas. They really need a revamp like they had in 2016. Study Group and WLgyt are the only two dramas worth watching so far
And seriously, nothing for the wench who caused them to lose 18 years? It wasn’t just one or two years. The FL tells her "It’s okay, you already spent years being angry about your actions." No, she didn’t feel guilty.Oherwise, she wouldn’t have done it again
The actors playing the teen versions have really good chemistry, which makes it hard to watch the older couple afterward. FL’s acting feels outdated, as she constantly has a “clueless” expression, making her seem more immature with time. And as for the SML, what’s even the point of his character? He takes up so much screentime for no reason at all.
Their wardrobes were giving manhwa vibes. For the first time ever, the FL doesn’t leave after learning shady things about the ML instead, she listens to him. But the ending was confusing

I’ve watched three Turkish dramas and these two were in two of them. Turkish dramas are kinda too long for me
