I started watching it and just realized it’s my first Suzy drama, which is surprising since I’ve watched over 250 kdramas

That water scene at the end of episode 7??? With how vanilla Kdramas have become these days, I never imagined they’d actually go for something like that

They tried to squeeze everything into the last three episodes. Honestly I didn’t like anything about the story. The worst part was the FL’s acting. It felt so outdated. She kept delivering lines with a pouty face, even though her character didn’t act that way 25 years ago, so we can’t even blame it on the memory loss. The only good parts were Jang Da A’s scenes

I can’t fully agree with the first sentence, as I’m watching another show with older actors and that one sucks😭

Binge watching now and I have to say,real chemistry is finally back in kdramaland. A thriller drama couple is full of sexual tension while romantic drama couples are giving off sibling energy nowadays

They executed some scenes really well. I loved how tears fell from the king’s eyes as he growled after Jiyeong was attacked. I swear poor scripts were really holding Chaemin back. I also liked how their desperation was shown. The king tearing the page to make her stay and her repeating the poem again and again in different places. The ending was by far the best they could have given in a 12 episode drama

She hasn’t told him anything. She just tried to hug him and calm him down when he was really angry but it obviously didn’t work

And I don’t really care what happens after she tells him that but I’m quite irritated that she didn’t tell him sooner. I know this happens in most dramas but my main point is she should have given him a heads up

Ig this show was never really about historical accuracy. So who knows,they might have even avoided dethroning if they had tried. But I think she realized that history had started to change long before she was framed

Honestly the date isn’t even important for what I’m saying. She knew the concubine had been scheming ever since entering the palace. Even in my original comment, I said I knew the king wouldn’t have believed her. But he would have definitely been more cautious if she had told him, especially since their relationship had started improving

I meant she should have warned the king about the concubine and the prince. She didn’t need exact dates, since they had been plotting from the start

I agree with this as well. She already mentioned several times that she’s from the future. Even if the king didn’t believe her, telling him about the betrayers would have at least made him more cautious or prompted him to investigate. Some might argue she didn’t want to alter history but she realized early on that her very presence had already changed it.

I finally binged up to episode 10. Honestly I have no issue with the cooking scenes. I actually enjoyed them a lot. My mouth was open the whole time during the cooking scenes.
But whenever Chaemin and Yoona appear, it feels like their chemistry is being squandered, especially since genuine chemistry between Kdrama couples has become so rare. They truly had it, particularly in the scene where JiYeong was imprisoned. It’s a pity that kdrama couples are so rarely paired together again. I swear some dramas really deserve 16 episodes.
