I don’t enjoy those supposedly funny scenes where the ML competes with the SML anymore. Darim should have been clear and rejected the SML the moment he proposed. Male leads usually reject confessions immediately, so why aren’t female leads written the same way? I understand that rejecting a man in real life can be scary but in this case, he was her best friend and it's not real
I officially hate the SML now. It’s episode 8 and he says he loves Darim. I don’t want Ha yeong to end up with him with a half baked storyline. Honestly, Ha yeong has it the worst among all four leads. Her parents don’t care about her, her brother is a jerk, her fiancé is marrying her just to protect his crush’s marriage and even the man she likes doesn’t like her back. The ML still has his mom but Ha yeong is completely alone. And now she’s supposed to end up with a loser like Seonu.....
SML is pissing me off ngl. He already had the dullest personality among the four leads and now he’s pulling this shit. He’s been with her since childhood, got married, had a kid with another woman and only now realizes he’s in love with her because a “worthy opponent” showed up
I might be the only one who doesn’t like the mothers group. They keep messing things up even without the ML’s sister involved. The ML keeps covering for them, yet they still call him jerk and incompetent. It was slightly funny earlier but not anymore when he just saved their asses. They're quite unfunny too
The cinematography is really pretty but in the first half I wasn’t even sure who the main couple was. The second couple wasn’t interesting at all imo. The leads also had very repetitive scenes early on. They still have good chemistry and the show could’ve used that much better.
im not gonna lie, while i do enjoy this. im very tired of the poor female employee falling for the rich or well…
I agree that this is usually the norm because it’s a classic trope. But you can find the reverse trope in plenty of Kdramas too. Even in this drama, the second couple is giving rich girl × poor boy trope
Okay, the first two episodes were really enjoyable, but now the drama’s gotten so predictable. I’m just gonna…
Of course it’s predictable. It’s a romcom, not a thriller. What kind of unpredictable twist would even fit here? The main story in these dramas is always the leads falling in love. The comedy is what makes each one unique and this drama is already delivering that.
I like this drama a lot but I’m watching to witness Ajin’s downfall. They even tried giving Joo Dan Tae a sob story in Penthouse but a painful past doesn’t justify hurting others in the present. Honestly, before I started this, I thought she would end up being one of my absolute favourite characters, she had all the potential too. But now, I just can’t root for her or hope for a happy ending.
I’m excited about the second couple too. But the SML gives off the vibe of someone who would sacrifice his own people for the greater good. I’m not a fan of characters like that and he has a son as well. The SFL seems to have had a difficult life just like the ML and she deserves someone who’s fully hers. Her scene with the child today was really cute tho
Just found out some people are calling the ML a red flag for getting mad at her. Come on, I watch Kdramas for the green flag male leads too but that doesn’t mean they have to be emotionless. Anger is still an emotion and his outburst made perfect sense. Honestly I thought those scenes were hot lol. At least this couple is not vanilla and he's literally helping her in every way possible
Both great chemistry and comedy? Kdramas are officially back. It’s been so long since a show actually made me laugh. I just hope they keep this tone all the way through.
It was an easy watch but I was hoping for more comedy. I guess the main comedy was supposed to come from the ex but I never found cheaters or the annoying family funny. Some people might call the tropes cringe but they feel like home to me. Still, it didn’t work the way I thought it would. Something was lacking. I just wish the second couple had more scenes tho. They had a lot of potential.
It’s hilarious when people show up in rom com comment sections to complain about the number of romcoms being made. Just don’t come here?? Go watch your other genres. No wonder romcoms keep getting made cause y'll are also giving attention to the ones you claim to hate instead of focusing on your favorite genres
Does anyone know if they’re going for a love quadrangle or if they’ll make a second couple? I’m really hoping for a second couple, because I don’t want the single dad to have an unrequited love for the female lead from high school or something like that. I also don’t want the chaebol girl involved in the main lead’s business. There are already too many negative characters with different motives
This is what I'm thinking too, I was curious because of all the hype and praise, but if the feelings and romance…
It’s a 14 episode drama, so it can’t be too slow. In most rom coms like this, they usually start catching feelings for each other by episode two or three. Anyway, since there’s a time gap, it’s like they’re starting all over again
In a romantic drama, having chemistry between the leads is so important. They look really good together. Idk why most drama leads give off sibling energy. When he asked for the second kiss, it was so hot.
First of all, I really appreciate that they didn’t go for the usual unemployed female lead look.... the messy golden brown frizzy hair with unbrushed bangs or the big black rimmed glasses and oversized orange Tshirts. I like her look. It’s not glamorous but she doesn’t look like she hasn’t taken a shower in years either
I was kind of hoping for more interactions between the second couple, since the female lead got comfortable with the male lead too quickly and their relationship became boring
I just wish the second couple had more scenes tho. They had a lot of potential.
